Please after legalizing with the ministry of foreign affairs do you still legalize with the embassy befor e you visa appointment or you can do that after.. please I need clarifications

Good morning house, I just got an admission in Poznan university of technology (Msc Construction Engineering mgt) and am hoping to start processing my study visa to Poland as soon as possible but my major worries now is that I actually don't have anyone around me that can put me through the visa processing and also if I have to legalize my documents before visa application . I believe I would find someone who knows more about it that's why am throwing this post, please assist me and put me through.
