@Eyop & Bimbor,

I'll put it up when the time is right (at least I wasn't forced to put up the first post, so chillax guys).

Then you'll find out yourselves if it's hoax or not.

TCD:
If a so called dealer does not value his customer who has entrusted his hard earned millions into his care in trust and chooses to treat them anyhow ignoring calls , missing deadlines , blatant lies and treating him like he is doing him a favour then I see no reason why you should bother saving whatever life investment of his.
you are not Jesus Christ. your concern should be safe guarding your hard earned money and ensuring you get your moneys worth, making sure he delivers on schedule as agreed.
Whenever they try to act funny after you had better come here and raise alarm so others will be warned and stay clear.
Sometimes I wonder if some of these dealers actually reason at all. you met a customer on Nairaland, common sense should let u know if you dont act right they will come online complain and damage your rep. Ordinarily that should be an incentive for you to make sure your customer is happy. you keep posting someone for 3 months, 3 frigging months. if I had impregnated a lady 3 months ago the belle for don dey big now, that's how long 3 months is. after spending 5 million plus, haba Ba kyau walahi.
this OP should have come to raise alarm sef from the first week when he saw nothing was being done, no point waiting 3 whole months. because its only when you disgrace them publicly that they sit up and take you seriously.

I very much agree with an earlier poster who said there are likely more people who have very sad stories to tell about their encounter & experiences but just decide to "let it pass" so as not to seem to tarnish the dealer's image.

Personally I have dealt with Inspired, and like other nairalanders, the high reputation he seems to have makes a lot of people go for his pre-order vehicles despite being at a higher cost. I think he's currently living on past glory cos his current customer communication skills is "zero" (same story of ignoring calls and he'll never call back despite seeing the numerous missed calls, wouldnt respond to e-mails, if by chance you finally get him by calling with another number, then he talks like he's doing you a favour despite the fact that you've paid 40% deposit and he has missed deadline by weeks.)

Apparently, what I feel is the 31days delivery he displays on his website is most times not realistic, everyone knows it takes a while to ship a car in from US and there could be unforseen issues from customs, but simply communicating the status with the customer would resolve the issue but instead, Inspired would become "incommunicado" for days or even weeks with no explanation whatsoever. We are all humans, promises can be broken but proper communication is key in business relationships.

In as much as Pre-ordering vehicles has its advantages (clean title, american spec etc), some negatives include the fact that, you have paid some % deposit and as a result, you can't pull out of the deal at will. If the vehicle looks or handles different from what you saw in pictures, you have no choice than to buy it. In short you are always at the mercy of the dealer and there is nothing you can do about it. On the other hand, for those who do physical purchase, you can change your mind about buying a car after seeing it and not liking it.

More importantly, I recently unravelled a new "well-thought of" scam used by a particular trusted car dealer to deceive customers (I won't mention his name yet). It is known that the only way you can prove that a car's Odometer has been rolled back is by checking the Carfax or Autocheck history. Fraudulent car dealers have gone to another level to ensure you never find out about the Odometer rollback even after checking the Carfax or Autocheck history.

This is a personal experience and I will open a new thread for it as its a "RED ALERT" and a front page material, I will include proof and correspondence with the dealer so that he's unable to deny it. I will also give information on how you can spot this kind of fraud.

Let's be very very careful with those we trust especially when money is involved.
