Politics / Re: Nigerian Youth Are Weak And Lack Vision by jerikoyan(m): 1:13pm On Dec 11, 2016
This is where our problem start and we refuse to acknowledge this, blaming our current predicament on generations before us, blaming our current and past leaders, blaming our colonial leaders for our current situation,it's time to wake up from our slumber.
Rome was not built in a day but we must think inward and wake up, stop the blame and take actions.
believe you me this mindset is not pertinent to Nigerian youths residing in Nigeria, even Nigerian youths outside the shores of the country still have this mindset, this saddens my heart.
As you said|
if generations before us are useless must our generation also be useless not to think of what our children and descendants will eat in the future.
bnanzip:
But this generation of youths are suffering because of your own generation of Leaders. It shows your generation was useless not to think of what their children and descendants will eat in the future.

I hope you helped him? Why not start the movement and the youths will support you?

Education / Re: Geography Vs Urban & Regional Planning: Which Should He Go For? by jerikoyan(m): 2:30pm On Dec 05, 2016
God bless You I studied geography for my bachelor and to the best of my knowledge you have more chances of getting into the UN system and international corporation, talk about climate change, humanitarian field, disaster risk reduction, resources management and the likes, URP is equally great just want to enlighten on misconception that geog as a field is irrelevant in the present day Nigeria.i know a lots of geographers who are self employed in Nigeria
JosephCudjoe:

Nd dz is a complete disaster for Nigeria. Obviously all d post av seen so far was based out of ignorance. Now Geog and URP are two different things. Geog is wider dan urp. What is d future of d Nigeria environment and its resources if geog is scrapped out of d system. Most courses on environment if not all, climate change amg odas are built on the knowledge of geog or on d course geog. Now if she chooses geog(grads wit a good grade) and plans her career well..she has job opportunities from the United Nations, Oil companies, Teaching hospitals(medical geog), Research institutes wich includes universities, places lyk IITA,FRIN,NESREA, NOSDRA(if she does msc in GIS)..there r a lot wich i cant just list. And even tho i av seen geographers in d aviation industry, banks, airpots, Nimet, and dz country economy is flexible to any discipline.....all she needs its a good grade at least a 2:1. And she will have more opportunities dan URP. IN conclusion if neither course is her dream...she should go for Geography. Its far better dan URP if both are not r dream profession.
