MATTHEW59: ELDS guys in the house admitted?

a relation is from ELDS and got 57.13 and applied for Pharmacy but hasn't seen is name on the list. Don't know what to do now.

Please, with this good news when is the admission list coming out?

Why is it that no one can access it on the JAMB website? What do you think is wrong?

I hope so o. I made the cut-off for Law from my for my state and surprised I can't find my name in the website.

Has anybody checked his admission status in JAMB's website? I just checked mine and it says "No Admission Given Yet". Does it mean OAU has not uploaded it or not? Does it mean JAMB's approval for the cut-offs have not been secured? Please, someone help me!

No. They cannot. No one is allowed to temper with the list at this time. I will advise you pray hard for favour and prepare to get a change of course form in the event that it did not work.

Where did you get that info from? I learnt the list ought to have first been sent to Abuja for approval.

BINTI_LAYE101: @Jerobans i am in ife now n i can 100% assure u that all d merit list has being compiled and have being sent to ABUJA for confirmation n it has being confirmed n sent back to school all dat is left is 4 it to be pasted n which i tink dat d strike is delaying d pasting but if u av some1 who can help u check inform such a person 2 help u check dat of ur dept. believe it or not some people has bin checkin it.

Thank a lot my brother for the info. I actually applied for Law and met the cut off mark for my state. I dont have anybody in Ife to help check it for me. Are you still in Ife? How can you help?

Will Unilag consider Educationally Less Developed States (EDLS) that don't make the merit list?

Guys all the cut-offs are out and in the unilag website. I just went through them. Please, what's the fate of educationally less developed states(elds)? I can't find their cut-offs there. Does Unilag consider them at all?

I'm surprised that VNTI has joined the gang whose specialty and expertise is to post fake cut-off marks and reaffirm uncomfirmed comments and remarks with the sole and deliberate intent to cause psychological and emotional havoc and deceive and mislead the prospective Unilag students and future leaders of this country. As a matter of fact, necessity and urgency I will DISLIKE VNTI right off and I call the good people of this forum to do the same; let's all DISLIKE VNTI and disassociate ourselves from all future dealings with it. kalan: Many candidates are very worried, fear, anxiety and frustration is all they see.
Very are smiling and the reason why is not far-fetch. You need to know about merit list, supplementary list and catchment areas to fancy your admission chances.

These things are very important so that you dont kill yourself of tension. after
I wrote about what to do if you score below 50 in the post ume exams, many students have been calling and writing in to ask for merit list and supplementary list.

Below is my explaination.

MERIT LIST ADMISSION
Merit list is for those who meet the cut off marks. They deserved the admission on merit.
The university will fix a cut off mark following the general performance of candiddates in a perticular examination. They use a marginal curve for this and make sure for each department at least they have 20-30 people who fall inside that curve.

Example:
Now assuming cut-off is 60, and you score 60 and above you will get in on MERIT.
If you scored 59.98 you will not still get in on MERIT, although you may get the admission. Those that got in here are not better than others, just first fruits.

CATCHMENT AREAS
After merit list they will then fix the cut-off mark for catchment areas. this knowledge is very important when you are filling your JAMB form.

Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Lagos, Osun have catchment with UNILAG-that means they have consideration for admission because the school is located in this region, every school have their catchment area.

So If you are from Osun for example and you scored 57 you may get into UNILAG on merit even when the cut-off is 60.

Supplementary is everyone who has a godfather, moneybags, connections. Here you did not meet the MERIT list this is your time to shine-lolzz

What about educationally less develped states (edls) for example Kaduna, Kogi, Kwara etc? Doesn't Unilag consider them?

Hey guys thank you a lot. I just helped my brother check his result. I dropped the zero on the serial number and it worked! He got 57.13% going for pharmacy and he's from Kaduna. Please, any hope? Does Unilag honor educationally less develop states (elds)?
