What makes a church a church, is not the building, not the instruments, not the interior or exterior designs etc. What makes a church a Church, is the presence of God(the Holy ghost). The spiritual manifestation of the spiritual gifts is what keeps the church. Where spiritual gift is not manifesting that Church is finished. |

HOW THE APOSTLES DIED.
1. Matthew
Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound.
2. Mark
Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses
through the streets until he was dead.
3. Luke
Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous
Preaching to the lost.
4. John
Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of
boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome.
However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison
Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of
Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed
and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern
Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die
peacefully
5. Peter
He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross.
According to church tradition it was because he told his
tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way
that Jesus Christ had died.
6. James
The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over
a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the
Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When
they discovered that he survived the fall, his
enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
* This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken
Jesus during the Temptation.
7. James the Son of Zebedee,
was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a
lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church,
James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer
who guarded James watched amazed as James
defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer Walked
beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by
conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and
Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.
8. Bartholomew
Also known as Nathaniel Was a missionary to Asia. He
witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey.
Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia
where he was flayed to death by a whip.
9. Andrew
Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece.
After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied
his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony.
His followers reported that, when he was led toward the
cross, Andrew saluted it in these words: 'I have long
desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has
been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.'
He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days
until he expired.
10. Thomas
Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his
missionary trips to establish the church in the Sub-
continent.
11. Jude
Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith
in Christ.
12. Matthias
The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot,
was stoned and then beheaded.
13. Paul
Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor
Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy
imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many
epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the
Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the
foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large
portion of the New Testament.
Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here
are indeed minor compared to the intense persecution
and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples
during their times For the sake of the Faith. And ye shall
be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that
endureth to the end shall be saved.

Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer,
But stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK,
But find it easy to read other books?
Why is it so easy to ignore a msg about God,
Yet we forward the nasty ones?
Why are Prayers getting smaller,
But bars and clubs are expanding?
Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity,
But very difficult to engage with God?
Think about it, are you going to forward this?

THE BATTLE BTW AGE & STATUS(jux my thought) After much OBS(observation), I came to know, see, understand and realize that the world we live in today, Age doesn't matter anymore, Age has become so Garish, that the battle btw it(Age) and Status, Status always wins, because Status has become Gregarious and everyone worship it(Status). Watching an elderly(advanced) man prostrating to a young man, when asked the reason for his action, he simply said, i am prostrating to his Status, for he (the young man) has achieved a lot(and he got major money) jux because the young man gave him money. In a nutshell, Status, surpass Age in all ramification or endeavors of life. Up till date young &old are battling for status. Courtesy: Jerry Ebimo Lawrence |

U're not the first to raise this issue/topic, People like Macion also raised this same issue and early church father like:Tertullian av countered issues like dis in his time y don't u trace back to early church history n u will get a better ans. Macion teachings was known as Macionism the concept was that Jesus reveal to the world an unknown God who was different from that of the Hebrew Bible. According to Macion, the God of the Hebrew Bible, was jealous, wrathful and legalistic the material world he created was defective in place of suffering , the God who made the world was malicious demiurge. Jesus was not the Messiah promised by Judaism, that the Messiah was to be a conqueror and a political leader/messiah. Macion said God cannot be good at the same time evil, for in the old testament he was evil(he killed people, without mercy and use war as a weapon to punish) and in the new testament good(Dualism). Macion was a native of Sinope(Turkey) he was a wealthy ship owner, he was a son of a Bishop, who was excommunicated on the ground of immorality. He eventually found his way to Rome and became a major financial supporter in the church in Rome. In the next few yrs after is arrival in Rome, he worked out is theological system and began to organize is followers into separate community. He was excommunicated by the church at Rome in 144BC from then on, he used Rome as a base of his operations, devoting his gifts for organisation and the wealth to the propagation of his teachings and the establishment of compact communities throughout the Roman Empire. He used his wealth to separate the old testament bible from the new one. Daz y up till date u see d new testament bible circulating around. In a nutshell, the bible and things of God( Christianity) is not subjected to reasoning. If u want to reason meet the philosophers. Tertullian quote: as they are heretic they cannot be true christians because it is not from christ, thus not being christian they have acquired no right to the christian scriptures. To me u r a gnostic and u believe in dualism. Therefore, all u are saying is Heresy |
"It is only thru d Darkness u can see the star". What u're going thru is preparing u 4 d breakthru ahead. Ur condition might swallow ur name if you don't stand up,eg Blind Batimus(first name turn to blind),The woman wit issue of blood (no one knew r real name, her condition bcame her name) Tears doesn't change situations,it compound it. My yesterday cannot b better Dan my tomorrow. NB: Never u condemn urself when God has not condemn u. A day of happiness changes many years of sorrows.

RIO 2016 AND BRAZILLIAN GRASS
Nigeria has no business being at the ongoing Rio 2016
Olympic Games currently taking place in Brazil.
The Nigerian government clearly under-funded the team
and is not interested in seeing it perform well.
The Nigerian contigent in Brazil should not bother to win
laurels. They should do the only thing which will make
Buhari's inept government happy - simply come back
with Brazillian grass.
That is the only thing Buhari and his team of bumbling
clowns are interested in as far as Rio 2016 is concerned.
Cows need to be fed with special grass. |

One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the
sunrise. Ah the beauty of God's creation is beyond
description. As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful
work. As I sat there, I felt the Lord's presence with me.
He asked me,
"Do you love me?"
I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and
Saviour!"
*******************************************
Then He asked,
"If you were physically handicapped, would you still love
me?" I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs
and the rest of my body and wondered how many things
I wouldn't be able to do, the things that I took for
granted.
And I answered, "It would be tough Lord, but I would still
love You. "
*******************************************
Then the Lord said,
"If you were blind, would you still love my creation?"
How could I love something withoutbeing able to see it?
Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and
how many of them still loved God and His creation.
So I answered, "Its hard to think of it, but I would still
love you."
*******************************************
The Lord then asked me, "If you were deaf, would you
still listen to my word?"
How could I listen to anything beingdeaf?
Then I understood. Listening to God's Word is not merely
using our ears, but our hearts.
I answered, "It would be tough, but I would still listen to
Your word.
*******************************************
The Lord then asked, "If you were mute, would you still
praise My Name?"
How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to
me: God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul.
It never matters what we sound like. And praising God is
not always with a song, but when we are persecuted, we
give God praise with our words of thanks.
So I answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I
would still praise Your Name.
*******************************************
And the Lord asked, "Do you really love Me?"
With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly,
"Yes Lord! I love You because You are the one and true
God!" I thought I had answered well, but God asked,
"THEN WHY DO YOU SIN?"
I answered, "Because I am only human. I am not
perfect."
"THEN WHY IN TIMES OF PEACE DO YOU STRAY THE
FURTHEST? WHY ONLY IN TIMES OF TROUBLE DO YOU
PRAY THE EARNEST?"
No answers. Only tears.
The Lord continued: "Why only sing at fellowships and
retreats? Why seek Me only in times of worship? Why
ask things so selfishly? Why askthings so unfaithfully?"
The tears continued to roll down mycheeks.
"Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not
spreading the good news? Why in times of persecution,
you cry to others when I offer My shoulder to cry on?
Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to
serve in My Name?"
I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.
"You are blessed with life. I made you, not to throw this
gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve Me,
but you continue to turn away. I have revealed My Word
to you, but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken
to you but your ears were closed. I have shown My
blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away. I have
sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were
pushed away. I have heard your prayers and I have
answered them all."
"DO YOU TRULY LOVE ME ?"
I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed
beyond belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this?
When my heart had cried out and the tears had flowed, I
said, Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be Your
child."
The Lord answered, " That is My Grace, My child."
I asked, " Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why
do You love me so?"
The Lord answered,
" Because you are My creation. You are my child.
I will never abandon you.
When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you.
When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you.
When you are down, I will encourage you.
When you fall, I will raise you up.
When you are tired, I will carry you.
I will be with you till the end of days, and I will love you
forever."
Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been
so cold? Howcould I have hurt God as I had done?
I asked God,
"How much do You love me?"
The Lord stretched out His arms, andI saw His nail-
pierced hands. I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my
Saviour. And for the first time, I truly prayed. |
A FRIDAY MORNING QUIZ
There was this young man who had his eyes on an
attractive young lady.
What he really wanted from her was just SEX but he kept
pestering her for TWELVE WEEKS with tales of his
undying love for her.
Eventually, the lady decided to give him a chance and
start a relationship with him.
But on the first night they spent together, the man could
not get an erection all through the night. Try as she
could to arouse him, the guy's 'headquarters' would not
respond and remained limp. But it didn't end at that.
Every other attempt on other days ended up the same
way for the next FIFTEEN MONTHS.
NB: Twelve weeks = Twelve years
Young Lady = Nigeria
Sex = Performance
Fifteen months = Fifteen months
Questions: Who is this man in the story? How would you
describe him based on his actions? What should the

It is now official!
Nigeria yesterday lost her position as Africa's largest
economy to South Africa.
Nigeria rose to become Africa's largest economy in 2014
but her reign as Africa's economic giant has ended just
after two years. The South African economy is now
bigger than that of Nigeria by a whooping $5 billion!
The decline of the Nigerian economy began during the
six months Buhari operated without a cabinet or an
economic team and allowed the economy to drift. Things
were made worse by the incompetent team he appointed
and the implementation of archaic monetary and fiscal
policies.
The Buhari worshippers will obviously deny this fact and
rather blame the immediate past administration of
Jonathan for the loss of Nigeria's position as Africa's
largest economy.
Considering the fact that Nigeria became Africa's
economic giant under Jonathan, does the argument that
the same man is responsible for her economic decline
which has now been officially acknowledged make
sense?
Buhari worshippers need help. |
NDU STRIKE AND THE PAINS OF STUDENTS (MUST READ) It is now visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that the "VISION 2016" of Niger Delta University students has been altered by the battle of supremacy between the Bayelsa State Government and ASUU NDU chapter. This strike has brought a lot of pains to the students community. Some of which are: 1. Final year students has earned an "Unwaranted Compulsory Extra Year". 2. Students are made to have a prolonged academic pursuit. 3. Jambites and intending students are being frustrated at home. 4. Some of our new graduates cannot go for their NYSC because of no clearance from school 5. Our colleagues in other schools have completed their second semester exams while we are still in first semester from December 2015 to August 2016 6. Landlords are calling for expired house rents in Amassoma 7. Our students are being frustrated and loosing focus, and many more challenges It could also be recounted that we have suffered setback of about 12 Calender Months or more as Nigerian students. 1. 2012 flood which led to delay in resumption when we were newly admitted. 2. 6 Months Nationwide ASUU strike 2013 3. Engineering riot which led to prolonged Mid-Semester break 2016 4. Now the trending ASUU NDU strike which is about 4 Months Old. Therefore, we are appealing that the Bayelsa State Government and ASUU should shift grounds for the sake of the students. It is widely known that when two elephants fight is the grasses that suffers. We are also making a solemn call to well meaning Nigerians and Bayelsans in particular like Senator Ben Murray Bruce, Former President Goodluck Jonathan and a host of other education loving leaders to please come to our aid even as we further seek Divine Intervention. This is a clarion call for the both parties to shift grounds and end this strike for the sake of the students! #endNDUstrike #BringBackNDU #voice-of-a-neglected-NDU-student Rotr. Comr. It is now very obvious that the only thing the APC has
demonstrated consistent and remarkable excellence at, is
propaganda formulation. They started with the "change"
propaganda which was steeped in lies, bogus, humongous
and illusionary promises just to get votes, which they
were massively given. Having gotten power and faced
with daunting realities, crass incompetence and obvious
unpreparedness they fabricated another sermon titled "let
us be patient". This also has been generously given. Now
that the patience has almost been squandered, and faced
with the apparent confirmation of their shameful and
monumental failure that await them, they have concocted
another propaganda. This one is titled " the past
administration destroyed the economy beyond repairs".
Very proactive indeed, seeking excuses before the
verdict and certificate of wholesome failure will be issued
to them in 2019. While the economy is tottering in the
circle of recession and unbearable stagflation, the APC is
basking in the circle of excuses and propaganda
formulation. Now the true meaning of the acronym has
been made manifest for even the blind to see..."Another
Propaganda Coming ". |
IYC PRESIDENT REPLIES SAHARA REPORTERS
PUBLICATION, DEBUNKS REPORT.
- DEBUNKS AFFILATION WITH NIGER DELTA AVENGERS.
- ACCUSES MEND OF SPONSORING THE PUBLICATION.
ABUJA: In a fallacious statement claimed to be issued by
one Cynthia Whyte carried by Sahara report today 7th
August 2016, denigrating the character of the Ijaw
youths council President, Engr. Udengs Eradiri to have
served as spokesman of Niger Delta Avengers, acting as
Brigadier General Murdoch Agbinibo.
Engr. Udengs Eradiri through a telephone conversation,
has refuted such allegations, adding that him as a
person and IYC as a people has no link bond with Niger
Delta Avengers or even any group disrupting peace in
Niger Delta Region as IYC stands as a propeller of peace
and unity in the Ijaw region under his leadership.
Udengs described SaharaReporters as a media outfit that
represents retrogression , deliberate falsehood, under-
development and biased unprofessional journalism. He
explained that if he desires to be a general, he will enroll
into the army and follow proper procedures rather than
being a pseudo general.
'' it is not in my character to cast aspersion on anybody
or groups, it is very clear that MEND and their crises
merchants has become psychologically frustrated that I
didn't subscribe to their demands, they have therefore
advanced to use Propaganda statements to tarnish the
image of me and other Ijaw leaders, very appalling '' he
said.
He added, emphatically that Cynthia Whyte who was
reported to have made the accusations was the same
Spokesperson for MEND in 2009, and the Joint
Revolutionary Council (JRC) whom was traced to be
Jones Abiri that was recently apprehended by the DSS,
and as reported in the National dailies, MEND are in
Negotiations with the Federal government, so he was
surprised to have seen that this same individual is now a
member of the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers. He
challenged the individual to come out with his/her group
and stop hiding under a pseudo name to constitute
nuisance.
He narrated how his problems began with MEND after an
interview on Silverbird Tv, stating that MEND has not
been mandated to speak for the Ijaw people, this they
found very embarrassing and since then have been
battling to dent his image, including threats on his life,
he therefore urges them to channel their problems to
appropriate majors as the Law is the Light and not try
measures to hand twist the Ijaw nation in asserting to
their demands.
He further explained that Ijaw stands for peace and he is
an embodiment of peace that no morally sane Ijaw leader
will sympathise with anybody or group found to be guilty
of acts tantamount to terrorism and other criminal
offences.
He concluded by giving a stern warning to crises
merchants in Ijaw land to desist forthwith from peddling
lies and blackmail to enrich themselves or will face the
full wrath of the law in due time.
The telephone call hung up with his last words:" The law,
nature and posterity must always judge people and
groups who attempt to jeopardise the Ijaw nation''.
