Nairalanders, i want to install asap.net on my system but i already have php (WAMP) installed. would it worked? and how do i do it without one interfering with the other. By the way i tried it once by i had to uninstall both and re-install php since that was the program i really need for now. |
best option: READ UP if you really need to go to a computer school try Motek @ 8, falolu street. They are quite good. |
hi, these are my obsns 1) it seems u are mixing things up, first u mentioned u are using phpmyadmin, next u are listing pure php strings. methinks you have to be more detailed. 2) if u are using any php editor (dreamweaver, phpedit) create a page call it anything then do the following $host = 'localhost'; ---- This is were your dbase host is. generally it is on ur localhost $username ='root' ---- this is the name of the person accessing the dbase, since you say u are new to this and u are using phpmyadmin, then the name would likely be 'root'. $password ='' ----- this is the password to the dbase, for the above reasons it shld be empty. $database = "yourdatabasename" ----- this is the name of the database you created with phpmyadmin then you can connect like this mysql_connect(localhost,$username,$password); although i prefer this $conn = mysqli_connect($host,$username,$password,$database) reason for this format is so that you can open the connection only when you need it. that protects your apps lastly, it is only when you want to end a connection that you call the command below mysql_close(); if you are using my format, call it this way: mysqli_close($conn); Hope that was helpful, if not mail me at lekanodukoya@yahoo.com |
Good job! nice roll-over effects and good color combo. howeva, try to reduce the picture in http://www.intergratedprojectsng.com/projects.htm. not all loaded on time. keep up the webdy |
why not? <?php $matric_no=0009; $level = "ND1"; $semester = "FIRST SEMESTER"; $host = "localhost"; $account = "" ## The name of your account goes here $password = "" ## The password goes here $database = "" ## The password goes here $connect=mysqli_connect($host, $account, $password,$database); $sql="SELECT * FROM populate WHERE matricno LIKE '$matric_no' AND level LIKE '$level' AND semester LIKE '$semester'"; $result=mysqli_query($connect,$sql); $row=mysqli_fetch_array($result); mysqli_close($connect); ?> In my personal opinion, this is more secured. |
they are quite good being using them for more than 3 years now and they have been quite amazing Although they had some issues with some of their host servers but they have worked round it and they are getting stronger. |
Ribadu is coming, ribadu is coming, Ibori where are u? No more aondokaa, no more yar'adua Ribadu is coming, ribadu is coming. ![]() |
The result of the last NECO wherein 98% of those who sat for the exam failed to secure 5 credits including maths and English, apart from being a national embarrassment should cause any right thinking Nigerian to start thinking of what went wrong and how this situation be corrected before thins get out of hand. As a concerned and a stakeholder in Nigeria, i believe where we got it wrong is that fact that we don't have a clear picture of how our education system should operate and what should be expected of citizens who have passed through the 4 walls of any of educational institution in this great country. In view of this, i want to share what i believe those at the helms of affair of our education should work towards. Contrary opinions and contributions are welcome. However i want to state that any contribution should be made in a manner that would benefit us all. OUR FUTURE IS AT STAKE HERE! First i think we must all work towards making education free at least up to secondary school level at best up to Bachelor's degree level. Education is a long term investment and believe me if this can be achieved, this country would never be the same again. If Awolowo could achieve that in the south-west and that region still remains the most developed region in Nigeria till date, i don't believe this cannot be reproduced on a national level. The main arguments against free education has always been that someone has to pay for it but i believe Nigeria as a nation can afford it why? Because if in the 60's the tax from agriculture could pay for education in the south-west region then i believe with the proceeds from crude oil, there is no way we cannot pay for the education of every able bodied Nigerian. What it would take is political will on the part of our leaders which is why we must not relent on fighting for credible elections where we can choose leaders who can think and act. what do u think? More to come later |
If u don't anything to say shhh! ![]() |

People don't know the difference btw a html designer and flash designer and to worsen the prob they don't want to know as long as it is website, and you ah a designer, you shld be able to handle it. however like yawa said, get as much skill as u can and move on. It wld definitely happen one day that nigerians wld knw the diff. but unfortunately they don't now. |
@yawa: right on the dollar as usual |
