Popular Nollywood veteran, Bob Manuel Udokwu has called on President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to bring about the much desired change.

In an interview with Punch Newspaper, the Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor, said the economy has not been favourable to Nigerians and the hardship shouldn’t be allowed to go on for long. Read excerpts from the interview beow..

“My appeal to the government is to bring the much desired change. Things are hard on Nigerians and we cannot continue like this.”

He also said he stopped calculating the cost of running his generators to avoid high blood pressure. He said this while reacting to the power situation in the country.

He said, “I have stopped calculating the amount. It is painful. You can just imagine if someone is spending just N1,000 per day to run a generator, in a month, you would have spent N30,000. Many Nigerians spend more than that per month. Personally, if I calculate what I spend on powering my generators, I will develop high blood pressure. I don’t bother again.”

Sharing a photo of the rehabilitated borehole and the woman’s generator set, he wrote:
“So I rehabilitated this borehole a few months ago, and the woman in this picture apparently is homeless and lives there at that spot, she bought a generator to power the bore hole (she washes clothes for a living). Boy was I impressed? So I decided to give her a little surprise.”

Following the ongoing media outburst following Popular Nigerian pastor and Redeem overseer’s advised to young men not to marry woman with poor culinary skill, or one who cannot pray for at least an hour. Popular Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus has waded in on the controversial statement made by Pastor Adeboye.

In a video posted on YouTube the actress says, if a woman can spend hours watching makeup tutorials and gisting and cannot pray for her family such woman is dangerous.

“If a woman who is married is not able to spend at least one hour to fight for what she holds dear which is her marriage, then what is the point marrying her? If we can spend hours on our cell phones doing social media, we can spend hours gisting with friends, spend a longtime doing fashion and watching makeup tutorials and we cannot spend one hour to pray for our family, that is a dangerous woman to marry.”

Nollywood Yoruba Comic actor, Olaniyi Afonja also known as Sanyeri, recently revealed in an interview with Punch News that he was once a shoe maker before he got the opportunity to become a star.

“The suffering I endured was really extreme. After I finished my secondary school education, I did not have a job so I delved into the theatre world. I did it for some time but I was not being paid even when I went everywhere with the group and was helping them carry their costume.”
“I had to learn how to repair shoes so I became a shoe cobbler. Eventually, I left Oyo town and came to Lagos to find greener pastures but still I was not earning anything from acting.”
“I became a mobile cobbler. I would put my materials in a wooden box, place it on my shoulder and start hitting it as I walked the length and breadth of Idumota.”
