Mesut Ozil will wear the Ace16+ Purecontrol when Arsenal play against Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League at the Emirates stadium in London on Sunday. Croatia’s Rakitic will wear the boots when FC Barcelona take on Malaga on Saturday in the Spanish Liga BBVA. A shoemaker that is not shy of experimenting with designs and footwear technology, Adidas has a solution for footballers who don’t appreciate the finesse around the concept of shoelaces. Not to say that Arsenal’s attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil and FC Barcelona playmaker Ivan Rakitic cannot tie their shoelaces, but they will be the first footballers on the international stage to wear the new laceless Ace16+ Purecontrol shoe in official football matches this weekend. Adidas says there are three key points of stability in the shoe. The first is a TPU cage to secure the mid foot, and is further anchored by a knitted upper and an internal knitted locking system called TechFit. The upper is an evolution of Adidas’ Primeknit technology seen in a lot of their recent fitness centric shoes, which is a mesh of tight and loose knits to provide a sock-like fit. For footballers, the latter is a critical aspect because it allows them better ball control as well as more shot power. “My whole career I have tried to minimize the impact of laces on my strike and ball control. I revealed to Adidas in 2014 that in the changing room I knot the laces over and over again and then tuck in the ends, that way they do not interfere with my touch. When they came to me last year with the laceless boots, it was like they have created my dream product. I cannot wait to wear them on the pitch,” says Ozil. Adidas tested these shoes in lower level football leagues in Sweden, and improved the technology based on feedback. Adidas will be selling limited numbers of the Ace16+ Purecontrol shoes at stores in Paris, Marseille, London, Barcelona and Manchester. Prodirectsoccer.com is currently selling these shoes with the price tag of £230. See more photos: http://jetolu.com/2016/01/20/adidas-laceless-boot-is-a-wonderful-news-for-footballers/

The Lassa Fever have claimed more lives than Ebola in Nigeria within a very short time yet people still go about their businesses like nothing is happening. Is it because the western world created so much alert on Ebola that it became a monster? As it appears, if Ebola is a monster then Lassa Fever is its Daddy. The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, says the Lassa fever epidemic has claimed 63 lives out of 212 reported from 62 local government areas in affected states. Speaking at the emergency National Council of Health meeting in Abuja yesterday January 19th, The Minister listed the 17 affected states as Bauchi, Niger, Taraba, Kano, Rivers, Oyo, Ondo, Edo, Plateau, Gombe, Nasarawa, Lagos, Delta, Ekiti, Ebonyi, Zamfara, Kogi as well as the FCT. http://jetolu.com/2016/01/20/alert-lassa-fever-proving-more-dangerous-than-ebola-yet-we-act-like-its-nothing/

British lawmakers agreed Wednesday to consider replacing the royalist song that serves as England's anthem at sporting events. "God Save the Queen" is the national anthem of the United Kingdom — made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — and is played at the Olympics and other events where the U.K. fields a single team. At contests where the four areas compete separately, such as the soccer World Cup, England and Northern Ireland generally use "God Save the Queen," but Scotland and Wales have their own official songs — "Flower of Scotland" and "Land of My Fathers." http://www.jetolu.com/2016/01/13/uk-set-to-remove-god-save-the-queen-from-national-anthem/

Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has said that it is an "open secret" that Apple is developing an electric car, believed to be codenamed Titan. Apple, however, has not made any announcement with regards to such a vehicle, even though a car mounted with cameras registered to the iPhone-maker was seen on US roads in 2015. Musk told the BBC that it was "obvious" Apple was working on its own electric car as "it's pretty hard to hide something if you hire over a thousand engineers to do it". According to Wall Street Journal, Apple CEO Tim Cook had given the go-ahead for the Apple electric car project around a year back. Musk, who does not see Apple as a competitor to Tesla Motors, said: "Tesla will still aspire to make the most compelling electric vehicles, and that would be our goal, while at the same helping other companies to make electric cars as well." Tesla Motors, which makes high-end electric cars, is running at a loss. The Tesla CEO made the comments on 10 January, while revealing a new feature called Summon that has been installed in some Tesla cars. Summon is a software that allows users to summon their cars, which would also park on their own. "[With] the current version of Summon, the car will come and find you if you're on private property. The car will exit the garage, close the garage behind it and come over to you," Musk said. "This is the first baby step - ultimately you'll be able to summon the car from New York if you're living in LA, and it will drive across the country, charge itself at the various locations and come to you," he said. Musk also said in two years' time Tesla cars would be able to drive across the country without a driver. "In the long term, nobody will buy a car unless it's autonomous," Musk said. "Owning a car that is not self-driving in the long term will be like owning a horse — you would own it and use it for sentimental reasons but not for daily use," Musk said. http://www.jetolu.com/2016/01/12/revealed-apple-set-to-launch-an-electric-car-soon/

Owners of JUMIA (Nigerian online shopping site) ROCKET INTERNET (GERMANY) faces tough times according to reports from BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's Rocket Internet is losing two key managers, sources close to the company told Reuters, in a new setback for Europe's largest Internet firm which has seen its share price slide since listing in 2014. The sources said Franziska Leonhardt, head of Rocket's legal department, and Uwe Gleitz, senior vice president of corporate finance, would leave the company shortly, both for personal reasons. Sources close to the company said there had been no changes in the core management team and it should be no problem to find replacements for those leaving, but their departure is a further sign of uncertainty at the company. Last month Rocket was forced to deny a dispute with major investor Sweden's Kinnevik over plans to list its recipe ingredients delivery start-up HelloFresh as it removed Kinnevik's chief executive as chairman of its supervisory board. Both Leonhardt and Gleitz were members of the team which prepared the initial public offering of Rocket in October 2014, since when the share price has steadily declined from the 42.50 offer price, closing at 23.37 euros on Monday. Founded by brothers Oliver, Alexander and Marc Samwer in 2007, Rocket has set up dozens of ecommerce sites, aiming to replicate the success of Amazon and Alibaba in new markets in Africa, Latin America and Russia. However, investors have been unsettled since it took a new direction early last year by splashing out on online food takeaway businesses in developed markets, prompting it to seek more funds. And its plans to list businesses like HelloFresh have been disrupted by rocky equity markets. A source close to the company told Reuters last month there had been disagreements on the supervisory board about strategy. Rocket is also looking for a new head of communications to replace Andreas Winiarski who left last year to join a consultancy. http://www.jetolu.com/2016/01/12/jumia-owners-rocket-internet-in-difficult-times-lost-two-key-managers/

Na wetin people no go invent? Bored of calls, emails, chats and endless Facebook posts with your smartphone? Now offer your friend an electronic puff with this unique magical device that also works like an e-cigarette. Call it bizarre or clever, but a US-based company Vaporcade is offering a smartphone that will allow you to make calls and text as well as smoke your favourite e-flavours - even help you quit smoking - tech website The Verge reported on Sunday. The Jupiter IO 3 is reportedly the world's first smokeable smartphone with a vape. A 3G smartphone that costs $299, it runs on Android KitKat 4.4 operating system. The smartphone has two batteries - one to power the phone and one to power the vape. The battery life is shared so if you do not vape much, you will get a longer battery life. The smartphone has an opening under a little plastic cover off the top. Attach a flavoured liquid cartridge and a mouthpiece to that and smoke right out of your smartphone. It comes with a button to regulate the heat and get a stronger pull. The liquid cartridges cost $15 and come in flavours like mint, peach and coffee and each one provides about 800 puffs, or four packs of cigarettes. Moreover, the Vaporcade app on the phone lets the user track battery life, how much liquid is left, what flavour has been loaded in the cartridge, and how many puffs the user has taken over time. It also helps in quitting smoking or cut down on your vaping by setting a goal. The app alerts when the user crosses the number of puffs. Claimed to be approved by the US Federal Communications Commission, the information on health effects and the impact of vaping from the device, when compared to traditional cigarettes, is still not known. The company, that makes e-cigarettes, cigars, and coffee beans, plans to release a 4G model for $499 in the next few months. Dis man and controversy na like bread and butter, A Muslim woman was kicked out of a Donald Trump presidential campaign rally after staging a silent protest against the Republican frontrunner, who has called for a ban on Muslims entering the US. Television footage from the event in South Carolina shows the woman, named as Rose Hamid, a 56-year-old flight attendant, wearing a head scarf and loose fitting green shirt reading "Salam. I come in peace." She stood in silence looking at the podium as the rest of the crowd sat. Later, she was escorted out as Trump supporters wave placards bearing his name in her face and chant for him. Hamid said one supporter of the billionaire real-estate mogul bawled at her: "You have a bomb, you have a bomb." "The ugliness really came out fast and that's really scary," Hamid told CNN after Friday night's rally. Trump, who leads the polls for the Republican nomination for the White House, ignited a global firestorm last month when he called for the temporary ban on Muslims entering the US, following an attack in California by a radicalized Muslim couple that left 14 people dead. "There is hatred against us that is unbelievable" Trump told the rally, according to CNN, after Hamid and several others were ejected. "It's their hatred. It's not our hatred." But a prominent Muslim advocacy group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), condemned Hamid's removal and called on Trump to apologize. "The image of a Muslim woman being abused and ejected from a political rally sends a chilling message to American Muslims," CAIR executive director Nihad Awad said in a statement carried by US media. Muslims in the United States have faced a backlash following the November terror attacks in Paris and the San Bernardino attack in California on December 2. Critics of Trump's bombastic run for the presidency accuse him of fanning the flames and Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton says he is the "best recruiter" for the Islamic State extremist group. http://www.jetolu.com/2016/01/11/choi-muslim-woman-ejected-from-donald-trump-rally/

2 Timothy 3:2 (KJV)- For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy... -For men shall be lovers of their own selves - It shall be one of the characteristics of those times that men shall be eminently selfish - evidently under the garb of religion; 2 Timothy 3:5. The word here used - φίλαυτος philautos - does not elsewhere occur in the New Testament. It means a lover of oneself, "selfish." Such a love of self as to lead us to secure our salvation, is proper. But this interferes with the rights and happiness of no other persons. The selfishness which is condemned, is that regard to our own interests which interferes with the rights and comforts of others; which makes self the central and leading object of living; and which tramples on all that would interfere with that. As such, it is a base, and hateful, and narrow passion; but it has been so common in the world that no one can doubt the correctness of the prophecy of the apostle that it would exist "in the last times." Covetous - Greek, Lovers of silver; i. e., of money; Luke 6:14; see the notes at 1 Timothy 6:20. Boasters - see the notes at Romans 1:30. Proud - see the notes at Romans 1:30. Blasphemers - see the notes at Matthew 9:3. Disobedient to parents - see the notes at Romans 1:30. Unthankful - see Luke 6:35. The word here used occurs in the New Testament only in these two places. Ingratitude has always been regarded as one of the worst of crimes. It is said here that it would characterize that wicked age of which the apostle speaks, and its prevalence would, as it always does, indicate a decline of religion. Religion makes us grateful to every benefactor - to God, and to man. Unholy - see the notes at 1 Timothy 1:9. May you find understanding after reading this words and being lead by the Holy Spirit. Amen. Source: http://jetolu.com/2016/01/10/revealed-what-the-bible-said-about-lovers-of-self/

Dis wan na end time Lion ooo. A hunter in Idaho who killed a mountain lion involved in an attack on a dog discovered the lion had a beastly deformity. A set of fangs and whiskers were growing out of its head. A pic released Thursday by Idaho Fish and Game shows the big cat had another set of fully-formed teeth and whiskers growing out of the top of its head. Wildlife officials say they have never seen a deformity like that but have offered up several theories. One explanation put forth is that it may be a conjoined that died in the womb and its remnants merged into the other twin. Another explanation is a so-called “teratoma” tumor. This type of abnormality, whose Greek name translates to “monster tumor,” can grow teeth and hair. In humans, it can grow fingers and toes. Oya we dey wait, The company's VP of Messaging Products, David Marcus, has penned something that's less of a blog post and more of a rallying cry for the modern way to do everything. Incredibly, this modern way is called Facebook. Specifically, Facebook Messenger. He writes that toward the end of 2015, more than 800 million people were using Messenger. We made Messenger blazing fast, we introduced video calling, the ability to customize conversations with colors, nicknames and emojis and with Businesses on Messenger, we introduced a new way for businesses to engage their customers by providing them with a delightful, personal experience, He says. Yes, where were we when we couldn't customize conversation with emojis? We were stuck using mouths, vocal chords and words. How primitive we were then. Messenger has made this so much more individual, immersive and just downright 2016. "We added helpful information at the top of new conversations so you always have the context of who you're talking to if it's not a Facebook friend, and with Message Requests, we built the foundational step of enabling you to find and talk to anyone," Marcus insists. here are few problems worse than not being able to parse your Facebook friends (to whom you are likely to be so very close) and, well, other human beings. Facebook's aggression, though, is aimed hard at the enemy of all that is Facebook: the phone number. In a paragraph headlined "The Disappearance Of The Phone Number," Marcus sniffs at flip phones and suggests mere texting is also the activity of the backward. Messenger offers "so much more," he writes. "As well as texting, you can send "stickers, photos, videos, voice clips, GIFs, your location, and money to people." I must confess I've never thought of sending money to people via Facebook. My prehistoric senses wouldn't quite trust it. It's all very well the company wanting to be the de facto Internet -- especially in places like India. But drier minds and eyes might wonder whether the wish to eradicate phone numbers has something to do with not everyone having yet given Facebook their phone numbers. The company pestered me for a long time about it -- in the guise of needing an extra piece of information for "security." Marcus, though, insists that you don't even need to be on Facebook to use Messenger. One assumes, then, that it's more of a gateway feature. It may well be that phone numbers will disappear. Some, though, might wonder how making their disappearance a company theme squares with what Marcus claims is the ultimate goal: "It's all about delight."
