Read the statement below... On behalf of Innocent "2Baba" Idibia, we would like to apologize to the fans, colleagues and everyday Nigerians who feel let down by the cancellation of this protest. 2Baba's aim was to lend his voice to make the government aware of the growing discontent due to the wildly escalating cost of living for Nigerians in Nigeria among other issues. Arguably one of the country's most influential musicians, he saw it fit to use his considerable platform; at the core of which are Nigerians, to amplify their voice. This is why he chose to march for the cause, and why he was so honoured when his industry colleagues pledged their support. In line with the commitment of One Voice Nigeria to ensure a peaceful and impactful protest, The 2face Foundation and partners engaged with the security agencies to resolve all major security concerns but treacherous gaps remain that we are unwilling to ignore. The risk of hijack by various political and sundry interests intent on using the platform to drive agendas that we as The 2face Foundation are not aligned with and therefore exposing protesters to high levels of danger is the main reason why 2baba regretfully had to withdraw himself from the march. He has refused to inadvertently present a platform for mischief makers to exploit. 2baba would like to express his great regret over these circumstances to everyone who feels disappointed. However, he hopes they will agree that as he said in the video announcing the development; ‘no protest is worthy he blood of any Nigerian’. He would also like to thank everyone; both individuals, and bodies like EiE which offered their support to him, and applaud their devotion to the nation. The primary objective of the planned protest as stated from the very beginning was to aggregate the voices of the people and present to leadership at all levels who may be unclear about the reality of the hardship faced by Nigerians. We have no doubt that we have articulated our demands and have been heard LOUD and CLEAR. We urge a quick and positive response from government and encourage Nigerians to take a cue from this experience and never hesitate to stand up to the leadership on any and every situation that requires action. 2baba will continue channel his passion for these issues using a range of effective channels in the future. He promises to continue working on avenues to help the Nigerian people be heard, he feels that is the least they deserve. This statement from The 2face Foundation is endorsed by Innocent "2Baba" Idibia http://www.jamienaija.com/2017/02/one-voice-official-statement-from-2face.html

Read his piece below... The Struggle to overcome Political Insanity, Audacious impunity and Mindless looting in Nigeria took a Negative hit last night not just because Tuface Idibia called off the 6th of February, 2017 Protest; because most of the demons we are Fighting against hijack the Peoples Protest and Anger at the Establishment. We must not Trivialize the Struggle or We will Struggle to make any impact in the Emancipation of the Nigerian Mind. President Muhammadu Buhari is not the Problem of the Nigerian State and this is not excusing his Failures. The Nigeria Political Elite are Vampires Feeding off the Blood of a Willing and Docile Populace. They Loot Because we Hail; The Celebration of Ibori in Delta State Yesterday and Across the Country Typifies the Insanity of our Stupidity and eternal Problem of the Nigerian Struggling Populace. Now we retreat to regroup and replan and we will lock hands to synchronise our objectives. For me, it is #ALUTAETERNAL, because If we no plan well things no go work well. No be everybody get that kin heart to stand tall when jungle mature. The real tsunami it's coming, and no doubt I will be on the front line. I will take the First Bullet; let my body be the first to drop; Let my Blood be the first to wash our LANDS. Will the Nigeria youth back a Full Blooded Peaceful Political Mass Revolution at the Federal, State and Local Government Level? I doubt. But, I no go give up on my children, The Coalition of the Frustrated, Angry and Hungry, as well as this country that I love. We must sustain the pressure and cannot turn back as the Revolution Continues. We must begin to resist political insensitivity and mindless looting of our common wealth. I, AreaFada will fight so fear will no longer cripple my people. Our MUMU don reach last bus-stop. And before we go start to chop sand sand, we go enter street and purge our lands of political dictatorship, oppression, poverty and corruption. We must not walk/work alone or we will fail miserably. The Nigerian politician is our eternal enemy; The Nigerian people are the willing victim and it is time to channel our anger peacefully towards making governance work for us and not against us. We must stop being the victims and become THE FEAR/THE MOB. If our yeye Leaders no fear us, change no go come. We Dey Prepare; We Dey Come to a Local Government, State House, State Assembly or an Arm of Federal Government Near You be cause #OurMumuDonDo Charlyboy Oputa(AreaFada) President. Frustrated Nigerians. LALASTICLALA MISSYB3 IJEBABE http://www.jamienaija.com/2017/02/the-2face-cancelled-protest-by-charlyboy.html

The former “The Voice” coach’s rep confirmed the news to Vanity Fair on Tuesday, Jan. 31 in a statement which says, “Pharrell, Helen and Rocket Williams have welcomed triplets. The family is happy and healthy!” No details on the sex or names of the babies have been released. The duo broke the news that they were expecting again in September 2016 when Lasichanh, 36, showed off her baby bump at a Chanel-hosted dinner to celebrate their new fragrance N°5 L’EAU. However, they did not share that three new additions would be joining their family. Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, in a bid to reverse the downward slump of the Naira against the Dollar, has ordered the Central Bank Of Nigeria, CBN, to harmonize the forex market, in a bid to have an organized official exchange rate platform, for prospective buyers. The development, is coming at a time the CBN had been accused of having over five different windows, where customers source for forex which according to financial analysts, was responsible for the massive devaluation of the nation’s local currency. As at yesterday, Monday, January 30, the naira exchanged at N498 as against N512 exchanged to a dollar few days ago in the black market. According to Foreign exchange traders, the development is as a result of to relative scarcity of forex at the greenback market, as CBN is trying to harmonize the market in a bid to strengthen the naira. In the official market, the local currency closed at N305/dollar, the level it has traded since August last year. Meanwhile, the naira is expected to remain at N498/dollar at the parallel market (black market), as the CBN continues sales of the greenback, to Bureau De Change, BDC operators. ”Confidence is gradually returning to the forex market as a result of improved foreign exchange reserves, dollar sales by international money transfer agents and the central bank assurance it will continue to support the local currency,” a trader told Reuters. As at last week Tuesday, the CBN said it would continue to provide hard currency, with priority given to manufacturing industries that need to import raw materials and spare parts. Presently, Economic and financial analysts are slightly divided over the outlook for the naira this year, following Osinbajo’s directive. While some are insisting that the federal government overhauls its forex policy, others are of the view that certain aspects should not be totally written off, but adjusted to meet international best practices. A Nigeria-based investment bank and research advisory firm, Afrinvest West Africa Limited, has predicted that the 2017 economic outlook, might force CBN to possibly devalue the naira from its current official exhange rate of 305/dollar to around 400/dollar. “If you think about the monetary policy environment, we think that the CBN will be forced by the market to make a change. “Currently, the naira is pegged at 305/dollar; we see it moving towards 400/dollar by the end of the year,” the Group Managing Director, Afrinvest, Ike Chioke, said at a press conference announcing the firm’s economic outlook. Economic expert and Chief Executive Officer of Cocosheen Nigeria Limited, Henry Boyo, had in his own submission said, if the CBN fails to review its monetary policy framework, the naira might crash to almost 1000/dollar, at the parallel market before year end. http://www.jamienaija.com/2017/02/acting-president-osinbajo-outsmarts.html?m=1 OAM4J Mynd44 Lalasticlala
