I noticed that this stuff comes too expensive for the functionality when I bumped into it on AliExpress. But I think you'd enjoy the versatility if you can afford it. The charging algorithm is 3 stage. It helps you to output any charging voltages and charging current you desire and that will be a good thing to have for DIY stuffs.

I haven't seen any other chargers that can deliver the max current it does at that price point. Question now is, how important is current to the battery charging process?

I read the complains here too but
most people who had issues were using the analogue smart chargers. The digital ones last longer. I have a digital 6a charger that has lasted for months and so far no issues whatsoever.

Oh cool then I will order this one. 400Ah/12v should be max 33A and 16A for the 24v charge respectively. That is if the 400Ah rating is actual anyway.
Another thing, did you order your 6A from AliExpress? If so, how much did you pay to collect at the local post office?

That is the impression I got from this thread. People have been complaining that they do not last and even looking at ways of constructing DIY chargers from laptop power packs. That is how bad it is.

Are you using lithium batteries? 'cos it looks like that charger is only for lithium batteries.

Using the 12v gel batteries. I think I'll just go with the cheaper smart charger. But they are not durable.

maybe 12V APC 1000VA is different then. i use 24V APC 1500VA. it works far batter than my other 12V bluegate 1.5kVA. i do use regular ac fan attimes, and it works well, but vibrate/hums a bit when i use 12V bluegate 1.5kva.

Can a 24v Bluegate UPS also work as an inverter with a 12v battery setup? Thinking of using this 12v charger instead of a 24v 'smart' charger which is kinda flimsy.
