While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape (1 Thes. 5:3 ).

Like many works of man its beginning will be filled with hope and promise. Following the chaos that will accompany the rapture of the Church and the Middle East war we call the Battle of Ezekiel 38 a man will emerge, a leader like none the world has ever seen. He’ll claim to have a way to restore peace to a world that will have been shocked by the recent disappearance of millions and by the nuclear exchange that began in the Middle East and quickly spread from Europe in the west to Russia in the east.

People will be desperate for answers and multiple appearances around the world by the beautiful and tender Marian apparition will convince them that this leader has them. Among other things, she will tell them he’s her son, come to restore peace to the world. Through her supernatural influence Catholics, Muslims, New Agers, the Eastern religions and even non-believers will unite behind him and for a time it will seem like an enduring peace is finally coming to Planet Earth.

Although conditions will grow steadily worse with war, famine, and disease taking an enormous toll in parts of the world (Rev. 6-9 ), the vast majority will be convinced their man is equal to the task of making things right again. The Marian apparition will have persuaded them that if they all put aside their differences and unite behind him everything will soon be better than it has ever been. Her promises will be accompanied by all sorts of miracles, so convincing that they would deceive even the post-rapture believers in the real Son, if that was possible (Matt. 24:24 ). Before long it will seem like the whole world is united behind him, to the point where they will have even made him the object of their worship.

“Who is like him?” they’ll say, “Who could ever oppose him?” Thinking he’s the son of God, as the one who calls herself his mother has told them, they’ll also worship his father, not understanding the extent of their deception. The Luciferian doctrine will have taken hold and the post-rapture world will have been persuaded that darkness is light, and evil is good (Rev. 13:4-8 ). It will be Satan’s finest hour.

The judgments of God, intended as a warning to the people of Earth, will be viewed by them as attacks from a vicious enemy intent on preventing them from achieving the utopian life they’ve longed for and have been told awaits just over the horizon.

What Are These People Doing ?

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One.
“Let us break their chains, ” they say, “and throw off their fetters.” (Psalm 2:1-3 )

For a time it will seem as if the whole world is united against God, and that overthrowing Him is actually possible. But they won’t realize Who they’re up against.
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
“I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill ” (Psalm 2:4-6 )

Betrayal In High Places

But the euphoria won’t last long. The promise of joy and peace that brought the world to its knees in worship and adoration will have matured into the worst trouble in its history, putting them on their knees for an entirely different reason. And the unity of the supernatural powers leading them will be exposed as a sham.
Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire” (Rev. 17:15-16 ).

Regardless of your opinion on where the anti-Christ will come from and what his world religion will be, these verses should be puzzling to you. The woman will have brought the anti-Christ to power by persuading people from every nation to follow him. How could he turn on her and destroy her?
Rev. 17:17 has the answer.
For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God’s words are fulfilled.

God is long suffering, but there’s an end to His patience. That end will come swiftly when the anti-Christ makes the claim to be God himself (2 Thes. 2:4 ). Jesus said that claim will trigger the Great Tribulation, a time of distress unequaled from the beginning of the world and never to be equaled again, and told the people living in Judea when it happens to get out of town fast (Matt. 24:15-21 ).

“I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols” (Isaiah 42:8 ).
When the anti-Christ makes his claim to be God he’s issuing a direct challenge to the One who is God, and it will not go unanswered. God will cause him and his 10 subordinate kings to turn against the very system that brought them to power, starting with the false religion. He has long employed the forces of His enemies to do His will and it has worked every time.

An early example of this can be seen in Judges 7:22 , when God had Gideon reduce the army he had gathered against the Midianites from 32,000 down to just 300. With those 300 He defeated the enemy by making them turn against each other. Another example that’s still in our future but will be fresh in the minds of the post church world appears in Ezekiel 38:21 . That’s where Gog’s forces will be made to turn against each other to complete their utter defeat. (We’re never outnumbered when we’re on God’s side.)
God wants that false system destroyed and will use His sworn enemy to accomplish it. The counterfeit religion that began with Nimrod’s wife Semeramis in ancient Babylon and will be represented in the end times by the Marian apparition will be no more.

Where the apparition had sown harmony among the nations of Earth, God will cause the seeds of rebellion to sprout. The Kings of the North and South will rise up against the anti-Christ . With ethnic and religious ties, these are leaders who should have been his allies, but when the opportunity presents itself, they will rebel against him. He will no sooner finish dealing with them when reports from the north and east will alarm him (Daniel 11:40-44 ). He who came on the scene as a great peace maker will end up immersed in war. Satan, the power behind all these thrones, will be forced to deal with in-house bickering at the highest levels of his kingdom. Who has the ability to cause this kind of mischief? The Almighty God, that’s who, and He’s only just begun.

Daniel 11:45 tells us the anti-Christ will eventually come to his end and no one will help him. When at last the armies of Heaven invade Earth, he’ll be captured and thrown live into the lake of fire. His troops will be killed by nothing more than the words spoken from the mouth of the Lord (Rev. 19:19-21 ). Satan will be imprisoned in chains (Rev. 20:1-2 ), and this episode of man’s rebellion against God will end in defeat and judgment, just like all the previous ones.

It will begin as a beautiful dream of the utopian life to be accomplished through the unified efforts of the brotherhood of man and his supernatural benefactors. Seven short years later the world will no longer be a fit place to dwell and will have to undergo a complete spiritual and physical renewal to bring it back to the condition it was in when the first man dwelt here.

Through all this, God will have accomplished several major goals. The Church, who trusted Him to create our utopian life instead of trying to make one without Him, will be in the New Jerusalem enjoying it forever (Rev. 21:9-10,27 ). Israel will be back in covenant with God and flourishing in the kingdom He promised them so long ago (Isaiah 65:17-25 )
.
The Earth will have been liberated from its bondage to decay and restored it to its original condition (Romans 8:19-21, Acts 3:21 ). The Lord Jesus will be in His rightful place as head of a kingdom that will never be destroyed or left to another people (Daniel 2:44 , Zechariah 14:9 ). All who dwell therein will have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior (Matt. 25:34 ). Peace will flow like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream (Isaiah 66:12 ). You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah (08-25-12).

QUESTION. A Bible teacher whom I respect greatly wrote an article concerning our judgment for sins after we die as Christians. My whole Christian life I have been painfully aware of my sins. The only hope I have is the knowledge that all my sins are covered by the blood of Jesus. I have been looking forward to the Rapture when all the things of this life will be no more and we will be free from this burden of sin.

But according to the Bible teacher this won’t happen. As soon as we die or are raptured we will face God’s judgment and and have to answer for every sinful thought and deed we ever had. I am almost in tears thinking of the shame I will feel. Now the rapture doesn’t seem like something we can look forward to but is something to dread. How can we encourage each other about the rapture if there’s a big judgment coming right after it?

ANSWER. Stop and think. God knew every sin of your life before He went to the cross, and died for all of them. Your sins can’t be pinned on you because they’ve been nailed to the cross and taken away (Colossians 2:13-14 ). He did this before you even knew Him, because He knew you and loved you enough to die for you so you could live in eternity with Him (Ephesians 2:1-7 ).

Now that you’ve professed your love for Him does it make sense that He’d make you answer for the very things He has already paid for with His life?

Stop listening to the opinions of men and stay focused on what God has said. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 ). If you’re in Christ you’re a new creation (1 Cor. 5:17 ) with a righteousness from God that comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe (Romans 3:21-22 ).

You have been washed (cleansed of your sins) sanctified (made holy) and justified (rendered righteous) in the name of Jesus by the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 6:11 ). As part of a radiant Church, you are without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless (Ephes. 5:27 ).

Your sins have been removed from you as far as the East is from the West (Psalm 103:12 ) and God will never bring them up again. From His perspective it’s like they never happened. Reclaim your joy and be encouraged in the name of the Lord.

When Jesus was crucified on the cross, not only did He wash away all your sins with His precious blood, but He also gave you His very own righteousness as a gift.

Do you know that you can never lose this righteousness? Your righteousness is a gift from Jesus because it is entirely dependent on His perfect performance and His perfect obedience, not yours.

So my friend, because you are forever righteous in Christ, God hears your prayers every time you pray. Apostle James tells us that the earnest prayer of a righteous man—that’s YOU—“produces wonderful results”. Not just plain results, but wonderful results!

What provision do you need today, righteous one? Favor for an interview, wisdom to clear your debts, healing for your children? As a righteous man or woman of God, boldly ask Jesus for what you need in prayer and expect to see wonderful results!

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Matt 24:12-13 )

In the debate over the timing of the Rapture, one point is often overlooked. And that is that the terms and conditions of salvation during the Great Tribulation are vastly different from those during the Church Age, and therefore couldn’t be meant for the same group. In both cases salvation is by faith, but that’s where the similarity ends. This presents another argument for Church Age believers being taken before the Great Tribulation begins.
Here’s the bottom line on the nature of salvation during the Church Age.

Ephesians 1:13-14 says “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.”
Note the word “guaranteeing” in this passage. Before we had the chance to do anything, good or bad, our destiny was sealed. We’re saved because of what we believe, not because of how we behave.

John 6:39 says “And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.” Note the word “none”.

John 10:27-30 says “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” Note the words “no one.”

Romans 8: 38-39 says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Note the words “nor anything in all creation.”

These passages all promise that we who are saved during the Church Age will never have to wonder about the security of our standing with the Lord. There are other verses that support this. These are simply some of the clearest.

What Happens Then ?

According to 2 Thes. 2:7 , the anti-Christ, AKA the man of lawlessness or son of perdition, can’t be revealed to begin the Great Tribulation until the “restrainer” is taken out of the way, or literally out of the midst. Several identities have been proposed for this restrainer; the Roman State, the Jewish State, the principle of Law and Government, and others stemming largely from man’s recognized need for certain behavioral standards in organized societies. But to many scholars the best case can be made for the view that it’s really the Holy Spirit as contained in the Church who’s restraining evil in the world.

“Take the restrainer and you have to take the container” as the popular saying goes. When the Church disappears, the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit will be removed from the world and the anti-Christ will be revealed to do his worst. There’s historical precedent for removing the Holy Spirit before a great judgment. You can interpret Genesis 6:3 to show that God removed His Spirit’s influence from among men before the Great Flood as well. Interestingly, He removed Enoch, a fascinating type of the Church, before the Flood too, (Genesis 5: 24 ) but that’s a different story.

The point here is that the promise of an indwelling Holy Spirit that guarantees our eternal destiny is uniquely given to the Church. No Old Testament believer enjoyed such a relationship. Even King David, a man after God’s own heart, prayed that God would not take the Holy Spirit from him following his sin with Bathsheba. (Psalm 51:11 ) Old Testament believers were not promised that the Spirit of God would be sealed within them as a guarantee of their destiny. Nor can I find a single verse that makes such a promise to Tribulation believers. It seems that Eternal Security begins and ends with the Church.

After we’re raptured, we’ll no longer need the Holy Spirit to be sealed within us, since the event His presence guaranteed will have taken place. So during the 70th week of Daniel the Holy Spirit, having been released from the Church, will resume a ministry on Earth similar to the one He performed in Old Testament times. Once again He’ll come upon people, and be with them, but won’t be sealed within them.

Where Did You Get That Outfit?

Salvation for Tribulation believers is explained in verses like this.
This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus. Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on (Rev. 14:12-13 ).

These verses tell us tribulation believers will be responsible for both keeping the commandments and remaining faithful in the face of the deprivation and persecution they’ll face for refusing the mark of the beast. They will also be expected to surrender their lives if necessary rather than take the mark. They will have been warned that anyone who takes the mark will be lost forever (Rev. 14:9-11 ). There’s no indication from these verses that post-Church believers will be protected from this, there’s only a promise of blessing for the martyrs.

Then there’s this one.

Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed . (Rev. 16:15 )
If you’re familiar with the symbolic reference to clothing, you know what this verse means. If not, let’s review it. Isaiah 61:10 says, I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Just as clothing provides physical covering, righteousness provides spiritual covering. God has clothed us in garments of salvation and a robe of righteousness.

Now look at Zechariah 3:3-4 . In Zechariah’s vision, Joshua, the High Priest is standing before the angel of the Lord, obviously Jesus. Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”
Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you.”

Removing his filthy clothes symbolized taking away his sin. Putting rich garments on him made him righteous.
Rev 19:8 tells us that the Bride was given garments of fine linen bright and clean to wear and that the fine linen stands for her righteousness. But again, the clothing isn’t hers. It was given to her.

This symbolic use of clothing is the whole issue in the parable of the wedding banquet (Matt 22:1-14 ) The King (God) prepared a wedding banquet (Kingdom Age) for his son (Jesus) and sent his servants (prophets) to inform the invited guests (Israel) that all was ready. After first ignoring the invitation, they finally set upon the servants he sent and killed them.

Enraged, the King sent his armies and burned their city (Jerusalem). Then he sent his servants to find anyone they could and invite them to the banquet. The servants gathered up everybody they could find (gentiles) and the banquet was begun. When the King came in he noticed a man not dressed in wedding clothes. When the man had no excuse for his improper attire, he was thrown out into the darkness.

In the context of the parable the wedding clothes represent the righteousness with which God clothes us when we accept His invitation into His kingdom (Romans 3:21-24, 2 Cor. 5:21 ) The guest trying to gain admittance wearing his own clothes (in his own righteousness) was found unworthy and excluded.

What ’ s The Meaning Of This ?

From all this we can safely assume that the Lord isn’t speaking of literal clothing in Rev. 16:15 , but of the spiritual clothing that represents salvation and righteousness. Rather than having guaranteed salvation for Tribulation believers and assuming responsibility for their safety like a shepherd for his sheep, He warns them to stay awake and alert lest they be caught naked when He comes. It’s a warning that maintaining their salvation is their responsibility and if they’re not careful they could miss out. This warning is given on the threshold of the Bowl Judgments, the final and most devastating cycle of God’s Wrath.

We get another clue of this in the verse I quoted at the beginning of this article. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Matt 24:12-13 ) As He listed the signs indicating that the End of the Age had come, the Lord alluded to the fact that Tribulation believers will have to stand firm to the end in order to insure their salvation.

The clearest indication of the Tribulation believer’s exposure is found in the Parable of the 10 Virgins. (Matt. 25:1-13 ) The timing of this parable is identified as just following the 2nd Coming. (Time references from Matt. 24:29, 30, 36, & 25:1 make this clear.) The 10 virgins are all waiting for the Bridegroom (Jesus) to return. All 10 have both lamps and oil at the beginning. When oil is used symbolically it always refers to the Holy Spirit. The five who ran out of oil symbolize Tribulation believers who let their faith lapse by not remaining spiritually awake and alert. At the end they wake up, discover their peril, and rush about trying to renew their faith. While they’re working to get back into a right relationship with Jesus, He returns and the door to salvation is closed to them. Forever.

How Many Brides Are There?

Some try to make this into a parable about the Church, always symbolized by a bride. There is a connection between virgin and bride due to the fact that in those days brides were nearly always virgins. But the Greek word simply means “someone who has never had sexual intercourse.” And when used in connection with the Church the word is always singular, such as in 2 Cor 11:2 . “For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin.”

Through out the parable, no bride is never mentioned, and certainly could not be excluded by her husband from the wedding banquet, a meal, by the way, that follows the wedding ceremony.

So the timing, the grammar, and the context all testify against interpreting this parable as a warning to the Church. The 10 virgins represent Tribulation survivors trying to gain entrance to the Messianic Kingdom, or Millennium. Some had maintained their faith and were welcomed in. Others had not and were refused admittance
.
The parable ends with the warning, “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” (Matt 25:13 ) This warning is given three times in the span of 23 verses, all dealing with the time of His coming. Tribulation believers must remain alert at all times and guard their position carefully. It will take a tremendous amount of faith to sustain oneself through this time, and each believer is responsible for keeping his or her own faith strong.

Some try to say that since the Lord warned them about the day and hour being unknown, He must be talking about the Rapture. After all, won’t people be able to count off 1260 days from the Abomination of Desolation to the 2nd Coming? It turns out that it’s not quite that easy. The Great Tribulation will last 1260 days, it’s true, and immediately afterward the Sun will be darkened, the Moon not give its light, and stars will fall from the sky. (Matt. 24:29 ) This will be the signal that the Great Tribulation has ended.

Next the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. The Greek word for sign means that a symbol or token will appear alerting people of a coming event. Sometime after the sign appears, people will see Him coming on the clouds.
So there’s a sequence of events that will take place, one following the other. But we’re not told the duration of any one of them. Imagine the suspense that will create on Earth, knowing that the End has come but not knowing exactly when the Lord will actually return. By the signs, they’ll know He’s due, but they won’t know the day or hour.
Personally, I think that the 10 virgins represent people on Earth who will awaken when they see the sign, and will know that the Bridegroom is coming. That’s when some of them will realize that their faith has lapsed and will begin frantically trying to prepare themselves. But alas, He comes before they’re ready and it will be too late.

What ’ s The Point ?

It seems clear then, that salvation in the post church period will be a much more tenuous situation than the one we enjoy, devoid of any guarantees and requiring great personal responsibility in the face of devastating judgments and relentless persecution. Even though evidence of God’s existence will abound in the judgments that regularly shake the Earth to its very foundations, maintaining one’s faith during this time will be no small task. This realization adds great meaning to the Lord’s promise to Church Age believers. “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed (John 20:29 ).”

The time is short. If you’ve been putting off making that final surrender of your will to His, better do it now. Believe me, you don’t want to risk the alternative. 09-02-06

My brother/other beloved brethren that might stumble into this piece of information, i just want to use this opportunity to encourage every one of us to be stedfast in the Lord and not be shaken in mind or faith by this futuristic android humanoid that man is trying to develop.
The fact is simple, mortality cannot and can never create immortality - you can't give what you don't have. Mortality can only be found in God our father and our blessed saviour Christ Jesus. As the scripture also manifestly declares in
2 Timothy 1:10 - But is now made manisfest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, [size=20pt]who hath abolished death and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel[/size]
The quiddity of my yarn is, a mortal man cannot produce or create an immortal being/thing. Only God who is immortal can and he has already done that by:
1 - creating the human spirit to be immortal.
2 - making immortality available to man through Christ Jesus. As the scripture above clearly shows.
And i'm saying it to you that the generation of Christians that shall witness the rapture will experience this life of immortality that these slowpoke atheist scientist are ungloriously striving to achieve.
Mind you, when i say these generation of Christians shall experience this life of immortality in these our destructible human body i'm not just alluding to the rapture, yes every Christian who awaits the seconding coming of our Lord Jesus Christ shall be raptured but these life of immortality i'm painting here is an encompassing/transcedent christian life of victory over death in this our mortal body.
Yes some Christians shall be so spiritually developed that they shall function in this realm. Take note again, not all Christian shall experience this trancending life of immortality within this body of mortality, many Christian shall still die to rest with the Lord while awaiting the rapture but some few Christians shall attain to this knowledge of immortality/power over death in this mortal body. Let me stop here 'cos this particular teaching are spiritual meat and are not designed for babes in Christ.
Well, if their faith can't handle it then i quite understand their situation. However if there is any statutory means that they can use to forestall such then they should go on with it and if there is none then there is nothing much they can do.
Like i said ealier, why bother yourself that scientist want to create an android human. Lol, they can only create a replica and not original. Whatever they want to create can never be immortal because it is destrustible. As long as it can be destroyed then it cannot be immortal.
Mortality cannot create immortality. Only immortality can.
Even if they come close to scientifically re-engineer the human cell from dying which in turn will keep the human body from dying, though i doubt if they can achieve such feat, yet our God is not asleep as he will definitely show up and remember the angels in Genesis that tried to corrupt the human race through copulation. And like you said the rapture is at hand and the end of the world has come upon us. Lol, does this ring a bell to you about the rise of atheism in our day and time?
