www.homevida.org is my most recent work. If you like it, get back to me. I have sent you a mail. Regards. |
My first question is, What is the website about? The look?Nice. Clean. Fast loading (though it could be faster). The colours? weeeellll, try lighter hues to make it more attractive. Form filling experience? I think you should make it shorter or create a facebook alternative. People avoid officializze (if you catch my drift) Try and get people to the site first by making registeration simpler. Simplify the logo. At the the present time it is not finished. It is still plenty. Why don't you make it as simple as your icon in your title /header? Then under it, let's have a motto or slogan to know what it is about,OK? You need the people and people need to know what you are offering. Keep it up! Cheers. |
Obviously, you are a novice. You need alot of work/ research, then come back and show what you've got! |
Alot of people ask for logo's thinking the designer is reading there minds before they ask for the design. I think they should answer the following questions first, as for the designers, a questionaire like this will help them in the direction they should go and for the client, it helps them ask themselves serious questions about the business vision. I have also appended the same as word file. LOGO DESIGN QUESTIONNAIRE 1. What is the exact name you would like used in your logo design? 2. Are there any acceptable abbreviations of the above? If so, detail. 3. What (if any) other words would you like in your logo? 4. What is your mission statement, slogan or motto? Do you want that included in the design? 5. What is your projected audience or demographic? 6. What is the nature of your business? 7. Who are your competitors? 8. What makes you different from your competitors 9. What logos have you seen that you like? (URLs if possible) 10. What logos have you seen that you dislike? 11. What feel or style would you like to convey with your logo? 12. What colors do you like or expect? 13. What colors do you dislike or would like not used? 14. Any additional comments? |
Some advice: 1. Improve your skills consistently. 2. Follow your gut feelings, if drawing fashion is your way, find a way to sell it to other fashion designers and people that care for it, e.g. magazines or even start your own catalog! 3. Be honest in your dealings with people. Deliver when you on time. 4. Print a nice complimentary card showing what you do. 5. Finally, create a website to market your services. Start with these and see what happens! |
Send your brief to iyorpuu@yahoo.com or phone 08069553202 |
Let's see what you can do. Show your stuff on the forum, you never know what can happen. |
Ok. Since this can't go public let's have a serious talk. iyorpuu@yahoo.com. Waiting. |
One more thing, set up a website! Get all the works YOU are proud/ comfortable with and put them in a gallery format. Check out other photoshop artists websites (google them). You never know , someone has been looking for your works and is willingt o pay! |
Good. I like what I see. What you need to work on are your concepts. Brutally question yourself, do they look salable? Would someone or a design studio/ graphic artist/ ad agency want to pick up your work? Hope that helps. Continue working on your technique and merge meaning to it. |
When you watch things like reels like this and you watch Nollywood productions, you must cring away from the obvious difference. Our adds are by far better than our"movies". Did I drop a bomb? Oops! Soji, carry go. ![]() |
Thought I should add this. Hand drawn then painted in Photoshop.

well one question i will like to ask before i can commit ma self do you just want a logo ? or a full branded identity ? with manual? i mean logo manual that tells you each element in your logo ? and the colour combination Huh this are pretty important when creating one, but if you just need a logo that cannot be define well i can't help you am really concern about creating one and given you a manual that goes with it incase you are been ask why the use of such typeface or that hope you understand.A proper logo is designed with in a context or brief. Such information concerns your mission, vision, colours, the market. These and the above can be added together to form, the brief. |
