Nigerians,please dont believe everything you read.While it is true that Nigeria has a negeative image worldwide.Oprah never said that all Nigerians are corrput.The article in question where this story seems to have started from was not a Punch article by one of its correspondents but a letter from a reader.Transcripts of every programme aired on Oprah are available on her website.
I have watched many programmes about 419 on Oprah and in the last one I watched she said :"Now please dont send letters explaining that not all Nigerians are corrupt,because I know that the majority of Nigerians are good people,that I already know'.

We do have a big problem with corruption in Nigeria and we can only solve it ourselves.
