Am sure you and your family members dont have more than 50,000.00 put together you can go to any Intercontinental ATM the machine will vomit your miserable 50k 4 u pele o sorry you cant do more than that ok very soon all una rumours go end whether you like am or not my sister got her pay and leave allowance yesterday and for your info she was able to withdraw the money no issues ok take your money and go elsewhere

For the rest of the house that want free ATM usage you can check first bank but the truth of the matter is they will join the train sooner or later but enjoy it while it last my friends

People really baffle me in this country everything you use and get you dont want to pay a dime for it free, ofe na the way. For those of you that have friends in the UK they pay their taxes infact some of you will tell me that life in Niger is better than in UK and the first excuse you will give me is that they use all their earnings to pay tax just because the law here cannot catch up with you and even those of you in paid employment are asisted by their employers to evade or avoid tax na wah o

When you go to any bank to cash your money from the ATM there is no Nepa and the machine still vomits your money do you think its your generator at home nearby that powers the ATM nobody I repeat nobody will do business at a loss including banks. For your information there is a proposal by interswitch to increase what is been charged for ATM usage if only the banks had agreed this would have been a reality I go see whether you go stop to use ATM. Banks will and continue to charge for services not to charge at all is suicidal. In addition if you do not know

Back to life in Nigeria being better or not than in UK when you get there next time and you take the subway its working, streets are well lit and everything works do you think they stole the money na tax payers money not here where people steal and become rich overnight even your last upsurge in the stock market for your information was abnormal it was propelled by thiefs in power what exactly is a company like Big Treat up to for its share price to rise to N20 (big thief).

Banks in Niger cannot give money to real sector because the real sector is not just there can they compete with manufactured goods no they cannot thats why its easier to import and sell and that is the option Nigerians have taken. If you look at the real sector (manufacturing) that exist today, they exist only because they manufacture FMCG check them - NB PLC, Coca Cola, Indomie, Lever Brother, Cadbury etc where is Dunlop the recent casualty, Michelin, textile even the so called SMEs are folding up

Our president has been seating in Abuja promising us heaven and earth till tomorrow we still dont have electricity shame on him in civilised countries people resign when they cannot perform here na the revers
Business / Intercontinental Bank -rumour Mongers by jimuchy: 11:31am On Mar 20, 2009
To everybody, anybody can say what he wants but the truth will prevail if anyone thinks Intercontinental Bank will go down then they must have their head examined. Has anyone bothered to find out what constitutes distress in a bank in case people do not know please be informed that intercontinental bank cheques are still going through clearing, staff members still receive their salaries and upfront and obligations are still been met by the bank. Why is that when other banks do whatever they want nobody raises an eye brow but when it is Intercontinental the whole town is painted red I guess its the growing stature of the bank some individuals are just not happy about it.

For those spreading rumours if you have friends for benefit of doubt you can ask your friends who have money with the bank to see if they can withdraw there money or not and before anybody starts pulling any bank down get your facts a lot of those commenting on Nairaland have not even stepped into the bank to find out if what there reading is correct or not all they know is that they must respond to rumours. Please has anyone been to Intercontinental ATM recently and told to go back that there is no money

Every bank has policies that guides its relationship with customers and thank God we have so many banks around, I read someone on Nairaland say "they charge you N10 when they send you SMS I am aware other banks charge for this, "they charge you N50 when you use the ATM I am also aware other banks do same, "they have increased minimum balance to N10,000 I am aware other banks do same and even more so why the effort to spread rumours.

In a few weeks every citizen of this country will be here and the bank will still be here I guess all rumour mongering will die a natural death and then we'll see what people will be saying when that time comes.

More effort should be concentrated on spreading good news about the country in general and not rumours
