Any group for clinical chemistry and molecular diagnosis?
I just got a mail now. Initially when I checked online it was not recommended but this mail came with recommended. Hence I can confidently say I have been given the admission

I am getting more confused.. I got to my DEPT, Business Admin, and i was told to go to Post Graduate Studies for result first.

Now people are saying we should go to our department. which dept again biko, the one that sent me to PGS?. The frustration in this country is too much.

If that's what your department told you then wait for it to be posted. At this point you need connection to get to see the results in the department. I checked mine through a Phd candidate in that department.
This is Nigeria it's all about who you know.

The most important thing is get the information you need. If your department conducts interviews or not! Once you have that settled, you can relax and wait.
For my department they always conduct interviews and they didn't disappoint.

They sent out messages in batches but some people heard and still went without any formal invitation like I did and we were all interview. The funny thing was there was already a list through which we were called in for the interview starting from the highest downwards.
They did the last batch of interviews last week.
So it's harmless, just either have a source there or visit the department and ask.

I must admit that Unilag is one of most useless schools in Nigeria. they removed people's results from the portal without any credible explanation and they're telling people to proceed to their departments to complete admission processes. people who were recommended but didn't see their results now would have no hope of seeing them again. even if the results are eventually reposted, they can't be trusted anymore cos they've been tampered with. quite shambolic!

It hasn't been tampered with. In fact it's very rare to decide on who gets admitted via just the exam alone.
I know someone in a particular set that scored highest during exam but was dismissed during oral for not meeting up.
After exams there will be oral interviews in most cases and credential checks. All these will be considered plus overall performance. Let assume only 5 people out of 50 applicant scored above 60 and cut of was 60, does that mean they are the only ones to be admitted or even assume out of 50, 40 scored above 60 and cut of is 60, will they all be given admission?
In this first result, I scored 55 and wasn't recommended but I learnt the highest score was 65 and only 3 person had above 60 surely I knew I should make the list.
After interview and all, I went to the department to check and my name is in the list.
So follow up with your department and get to know what the processes are.

My department is doing oral interview. Mine showed not recommended. I called to ask if it meant no admission given and I was told NO. That it's just the exam result and the remarks is based on the cut of point set last year. That the admission list will determine who was given admission or not that the department is yet to complete her interview and agree on the cut off for this year's program. So for me I am keeping my fingers crossed. If you saw recommended please find out if your department does oral o.

From the reactions going round it means admission granted or recommended for admission. Not sure

For PhD visit the department because you need to be certain there is a supervisor on ground to supervise you. That would give you the opportunity to ask other questions

If you are supposed to do interview for your department, the department usually inform the applicants. So check your email and text messages regularly.

Not all departments do interview.

It is mostly medical courses.

None was sent in my case. out of 20 person that came for the interview only about 4 got an sms invitation.
So people should make effort to have accurate inside source information.

I will advise you go to your department in unilag to find out. Don't sit down and wait for information at your door step. Results is ready but yet to be released.

Remember someone got a text requesting he should apply for part time since he did not meet up full time cut off mark.

Clinical chemistry and molecular diagnosis offered in medical laboratory science department conducted oral interview and credential sight seeing today April 13 2021. I got the information late last night so you can imagine the lack of proper information.
Interview and exam determines your final score and affect who is selected in most department. So ensure you have a direct contact person in the department or you go and get first hand information and a contact person too.

Log in close to your exam time
Read the instructions properly
Use your registration number on your exam pass form and your surname as password.
It is strongly advised that you use a laptop and not phones
