jnrbanks : Amen oo, na God's blessing I need now. School accommodation are known to be on the expensive side. I would advise that you look for shared flats closer to school. £83pw is kinda expensive, however good if it's en suite. As per the payment, e be like say na that Form A make sense pass.

private shared flats it is den...saw a few cheaper ones on spareroom website..nd its all inclusive ..

and yea i was at my bank (first bank) dis mawnin, d form A is better as d bank dudes also assured me its at CBN rate...funny enuff wen i asked dem d rate, dey were lyk £1 at 317naira and cbn dis morning was selling at 309naira so i no knw whether der own cbn different from d one i knw ...but here's der charge:
0.5% of d naira equivalent
5% vat on d commission
3000naira swift charges (I feel dis is too high sha)

I was also adviced in access bnk o Jst use mastercard ( oloshi pipu)

eco bank was proposing a dorm Acc... 2500naira swift charge, 0.5% commission, 5%vat and £50 flat charge (what ever dat is)...dey said it will cover both der charge and dat of der correspondence.
but I did not check for der form A charges ohh.(am expecting a call from dem pertaining dat so will let u guys knw)


am thinking of Jst boycotting des banks and Jst go to CBN direct as d bank no even far from my haus ...Buh I don't knw if its possible to perform such with dem.

Lols nah I did not apply to london met.yes I have not accept CU might defer to Jan.might end up with CU since East Anglia has only Sept for my course.will defer both schools

yea to be on a safer side its gud to defer both...but I think u'll av to accept d offers ist b4 deferring... time still dey sha.

Jan is also a gud tym to begin as u'll finish around Dec/Jan and dats d period most coys do der recruitment.....very much on point.

@justwise pls which would u advise wen it comes to paying deposits...directly via mastercard, getting a dorm Acc or via form A wiring. (PS: Jst deposits as for d remaining fees na POS win am..I don mail d schools if dey accept POS and i pray dey do).

@naijamark, yea u all are on point... am still doing a thorough check in terms of job prospects and der individual modules.

BUT about d tuition fee.... Coventry is £11453 and Sheffield is £11900. so with d discount I should be paying £8900 at shu instead. so u see d difference now.

but either way I'd try not to let d NINE HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN THOUSAND NAIRA discount overshadow my decision

Ranking matters but if Sheffield Hallam University gives you that generous discount then go for it, you will need that money badly, work hard and get good result that will compensate for the ranking in some ways.

Ranking changes, Coventry is ranked 15 in one website while the other one ranked the same university 45, if they are not giving you good discount then go for Sheffield Hallam University.

Number of foreign students coming to the UK now has reduced so schools has to give discounts or other stuff to attract foreign students.

Please about d accepting multiple conditional offers..what say u? any repercussions plus is der any harm in terminating a conditional offer after accepting? tnx

Okay but apart from the fees still consider the school that will benefit you like what worry357 said.I was in your shoes before(confusion) after I had four offers I was confused with coventry and university of east anglia but I used graduate prospect and ranking in my discipline/subject to make up my mind.But follow your heart if its the fees you are considering its fine

yea...Will probably take my time and weigh a lot of factors... funny enuf Sheffield hallam fee is a few pounds higher dan Coventry sef...but d discount which ends dis year is really mouthwatering and makes a lotta difference... i wouldn't rush tho...

Can't say for sure, but if your name is entered twice on the university entrance clearing computer it might cause problems.
Go where your heart says, and look how the school performs or gains jobs in YOUR SUBJECT not overall.

I don't get d fees part...if its about d discount, they'll subtract it from my fees and I'll balance d remaining.

please I need candid advice on which school to accept btw

a) Coventry University which is doing pretty gud amongst oda schools plus dey've got sum pretty career programs (such as d GLP and IEMS) dat will really benefit me. AND

b) Sheffield Hallam University which is also not bad in d ranking and they are giving me £3000 discount (Dats close to a million box ). plus its cost of living is cheaper dan Coventry.

Now my Igbo sense keeps telling me 'young man Sheffield hallam is d best (I believe u knw why).

so I don't knw...I need advice.

2) .. is der any thing wrong in accepting conditional offers from 2-3 different schools...i knw someone who did and is seeking ur advice. if he made a mistake by accepting d offers ( Conditional) and ow to go about it.

yea its normal....it will prolly take dem a few days to weeks to process ur app...afterwards u'll get a mail and den u can access d free material.. for now Jst make do with oda materials....best wishes

of course yes.....u Jst av to look dem up on net...Buh in my opinion...y not Jst take d Ielts...a vast majority of scholarships for international students require dat test as a must av.....

yea although what d individual can offer is paramount, but I still feel ow a school rank kinda still has dis ' overall reputation effect' wen viewed from an employers perspective...

even tho till 2morow i'm 51% sure dat employers still favour d Russell unis ist, am really happy coventry and I think surrey be giving some of des schools a run for der money...

lol....y'all seen d latest guardian ranking....Coventry uni actually slip past d so called 'Russell Group' schools ( some of dem tho ...to rank 15 in uk. not bad tho...not bad atall...
