The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has revealed why some Nigerians are against the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari. Mr. Amaechi, who is the Director-General of Buhari/Osinbajo Re-election Campaign Organisation said some Nigerians are opposed to Buhari’s re-election because he has refused to share public funds for personal use. Speaking during the presentation of a book: “The Niger Delta Paradox: Impoverished in the Midst of Abundance,” written by Monsignor John Wangbu, a Catholic Priest, yesterday, the former Rivers State governor, however, expressed confidence that with the President’s “impressive performance” since assuming office, most Nigerians would vote for him next year. According to Amaechi, voting for Buhari will enable him to continue with his developmental strides and empowerment of the people. He said: “Why some persons are saying they will not vote for President Buhari next year is because the money available, instead of sharing it, we are working with it for development across Nigeria. If you see a disciplined person like President Buhari, who is saying we cannot continue like this and be sharing money, we need to support him. “We need to produce what we eat. Imagine Nigeria importing tomatoes and meat. Before, Nigeria was importing 500,000 eggs per day from South Africa. We are now producing our tomatoes and rice. We have reduced the importation of chicken and eggs. “Niger Deltans are impoverished by themselves. The Ogoni man who broke crude oil pipe, is he not aware that there will be environmental crisis? The Ikwerre man who stops the man who is producing crude oil in one of Ikwerre communities, did he remember how much it costs the Federal Government and the Nigerian nation and the loss incurred for the number of days of stoppage of oil production? “The private individual in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, who went to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company to collect money. Did he think that the money he collected belonged to Agip? If the money belonged to Agip, he would not be given. The money he collected actually belonged to the Niger Delta. Our agitation is in private pockets. “Calculate how much has come to Rivers State, including my administration, and look at the volume of development that has come out of the money, and see whether we are making progress. I am not saying the Federal Government is treating us in the Niger Delta well, but the funds that we have managed to get, what have we done with them? Do not blame politicians, blame yourselves too. The problem is not leadership, but followership. We must ask the right questions. It should not be a land of anything goes. “A friend of mine was made the Minister for Environment and she wanted to take up the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) for clean-up of the polluted Ogoni environment. She came to me and asked what she should do. In the Niger Delta, most people do not like development projects, but to share the money. I told her the first thing she would experience would be requests to share the money. I told her that if she smiled or laughed with the people, she would be in trouble. The first day she arrived, the people started demanding money, but she ignored them and she was successful. “The current people (in HYPREP) are having problems, because they are listening to the people. Me, I will not listen, but I will do what is in my mind. I only want to be judged by God and the society. I want to live, knowing that my conscience is clear and I have satisfied myself that I have done the right things. So that I can sleep freely. My conscience worries me a lot.” https://www.webexmusic.com/amaechi-reveals-why-some-nigerians-are-against-buhari/

An All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Jacob Ajegana-Kudu, has withdrawn his membership of the party with some reasons. Mr. Ajegana-Kudu aspired to represent Nasarawa Eggon East constituency at the state legislature during the recently concluded APC primaries. According to his letter to Ubbe Electoral Ward Chairman of the party, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of state, the aspirant who earlier resigned as Special Assistant to Gov. Tanko Al-Makura to contest the election, said he was no longer comfortable to remain in APC. Excerption from the letter dated Nov. 2, 2018, read: “RESIGNATION OF MEMBERSHIP OF ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC). “I bring you my full compliment in the best of traditions and wish by this communication to formally offer to you my resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC). “l had joined the APC in 2014 with Registration Number as NAS/NAE/02001078, and remained committed to the party’s ideology. “As I resign my membership of the party at this point in time, I wish to thank Gov. Tanko Al-Makura and the party for giving me the opportunity to serve as Special Assistant to the governor. “I also thank the party’s stakeholders and supporters for their unflinching support given to me while in the party. “I wish the party well in all her future.” Ajegana-Kudu, however, did not disclose his next line of action or new party. It will be recalled that the aspirant had on Oct. 10 rejected the result of the State House of Assembly primary election of his constituency. https://www.webexmusic.com/why-i-resigned-a…ssembly-aspirant/

A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mohammed Abba Gana, has propounded that a National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will work for the emergence of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar instead of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election. Alhaji Gana, a member of the Board of Trustees of the PDP said Asiwaju Tinubu will support Abubakar’s emergence because they have “common businesses.” Speaking with newsmen, Gana stressed that the former Lagos State governor has more things in common with Abubakar than President Buhari, hence the need to work with the former Vice President. He said, “I am sure that Tinubu may realise that he faces less danger with Atiku as president. They have common businesses and I am sure they would work together. Tinubu has more things in common with Atiku than Buhari. So at worst, in the South West, President Buhari and Atiku would split the votes. “Otherwise, I would give Atiku 60 to 65 per cent of the votes in the South West. In the North West where Buhari comes from, the votes will be split between him and Atiku. Buhari has no chance against Atiku in the coming election. I am being very conservative in my analysis. People are really being mobilised against Buhari. “You see, this is the problem of the APC; in 2015, they used Buhari as Mr Integrity without knowing the consequences and considering whether he would perform or not. Integrity is the tool they used but how has it helped in the development of the country. So, after about four years, Mr Integrity did not perform in the three subjects they chose for themselves. “They are already difficult subjects for them. So, the tool of integrity for them has not been politically useful. You cannot, after four years, present only your integrity as an achievement. In 2015, we did not know him and we dwelt on integrity but in 2019, we are now looking at performance. We are talking about what is on ground and how the people feel in terms of security, economy and anti-corruption. The feeling of the people is that things have got much worse than they were in 2015.” https://www.webexmusic.com/this-is-why-tinubu-will-work-for-atiku-dump-buhari-to-become-president-gana/

But to his Wife, Annie Idibia is something else, especially as her husband and music Legend, 2Baba who made the record has millions of female fans around the world. The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to prevent former President Olusegun Obasanjo from “escaping” if he wins reelection in 2019. Oba Akiolu told the President that the moment he wins the 2019 election, he should close the border so that Obasanjo won’t escape. Oba said the moment he wins the election, he should close the border so that Obasanjo won’t escape. “Obasanjo should change his ways. Last Sunday being the 21st of October, 2018 and last day of the annual Felabration festival which comes up at the Fela Shrine was different show entirely as many artistes rant against politicians. Among the shows in show of the 2018 Felaration are of Omawumi calling President Muhammadu Buhari an incompetent old man and already corruption Atiku while Femi Kuti made it cleared to Professor Yemi Osinbajo that he cannot support his political career. The grand finale was the “littest” of the Felabration event as a result of the invasion of the whole DMW crew led by their superstar boss, Davido. During the performance, Davido confidently in the presence of seated Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who is a member of the All Progressive Congress an opposition part to his Uncle’s; People’s Democratic Party (PDP) declared that the governor of Osun State is his Uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke even after INEC declared the APC candidate the winner of the election last month. It will be recalled that the election of Osun state was conducted sometime in September which was highly controversial as a result of Oyetola the APC candidate being declared the winner. Series of events have been on-going since the end of the election as PDP has filed a lawsuit against the INEC & the APC, claiming the latter manipulated the Osun election. As Olamide increased the strength of his YBNL crew with the new signing of Picazo, Yomi Blaze and Fireboy DML, the new signees are also appreciating the opportunity. The YBNL Boss combined the new signees with his old artistes; Davolee, Limerick, Lyta and Temmie Ovwasa, to form the new YBNL Mafia and the new Mafia has been on their new quest to stardom as they all hit the studio to cook up a new mixtape that will put them out fully to the fans. Davolee, Limerick, Picazo and Yomi Blaze had recently dropped a joint single ”Juju Guns and Roses” already to announce and introduce themselves to the music industry and fans. To continue on their quest, the YBNL Mafia; Davolee, Limerick, Picazo, Yomi Blaze, Fireboy DML, Lyta and Temmie Ovwasa, went to feature Cool FM Midday Oasis' programme hosted by Do2dtun and Kemi Smallz where they all dropped their freestyle after the interview. In our own view, Limerick is believe to have murdered YBNL Mafia’s Hot Freestyle followed by Picazo out of each one of their freestyles, but one man's food is another man's poison, let leave it over to you guys to know your verdict. Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has revealed his greatest surprise in office as vice president. Professor Osinbajo revealed that what shocked him most was what he described as “grand corruption.” During his presentation at the ongoing 24th Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja, Professor Yemi Osinbajo spoke on Corruption and Rule of Law. Recall that, Osinbajo had earlier lamented that whenever he tried dismissing corrupt public officer holders, some religious leaders would always intervene. “I think, frankly, the biggest surprise for me has been the sheer impact of corruption on development,” he said. “Whereas what we were more familiar with was corruption in the public procurement process and the like, but what is rare and damaging is directly going to the very source of revenue and taking public resource for private.” He further explained that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government had made some significant impact in this area by “holding persons who made away with public funds accountable, taking them to court, seizing their assets both locally and internationally and transferring back to the country proceeds of corruption.” He lamented that, “Trying to get money from foreign governments or from foreign banks is an obstacle for Nigeria. It is laden with all manner of difficulties and it is obvious that there is no enthusiasm about returning money that is already in their custody. It is very, very difficult.” Source: https://www.webexmusic.com/what-shocked-me-most-when-i-became-vice-president-osinbajo/

The running mate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 presidential election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, has blamed the social media for the misgivings generated over his nomination. Mr. Obi made the blame in Abakaliki on Monday during a courtesy call on Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi State. He said, leaders of the South East Zone were never against his nomination but only with the process through which he was nominated. Obi added that they have the right to disagree with such process and this made them humbly request for a meeting with the party’s presidential candidate. According to him, it is unfortunately that we leave in an era where the social media controls every part of news as I declare especially to the press that Umahi remains the zone’s leader and the best in the country. Obi disclosed that Umahi made his nomination possible through his efforts as the secretary of the PDP national convention committee which produced the best presidential primaries in the country. “Such efforts by PDP leaders especially Umahi ensured that that the party’s presidential candidate thought of choosing his running-mate from the south east zone. “That is why I came home to tell south east people that the nomination is not for me alone but for them as its success rests on the efforts of Umahi, its leaders and the entire people,” he said. He noted that he never thought of getting nominated, never discussed such with anybody with the way it happened, only explained by God. “PDP governors in the zone have performed tremendously and Umahi in particular, has done enough for Ebonyi and the zone,” he said. “It would, therefore, be unfair and uncharitable for any of us to allow his person or leadership, be put into disrepute as this journey would not be successful without his leadership. “We will work together to succeed as the PDP is desirous of returning to power not just to return but to correct the anomalies presently witnessed in the country,” he said. Obi said that he had a lasting relationship with Ebonyi which dated back to his business dealings in the state as a student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), among his family’s business interests in the state. Umahi, in his response, thanked Obi for the honour of the visit, pledging that the people of the state and the zone would support him to actualize his ambition. “When you sought to visit me in Abuja, I chose to visit you instead because you were a governor, chairman of the zone’s governor’s forum all before me and presently, the vice presidential candidate of our party. “In your humility however, you decided to visit me and we both spoke to the press to correct certain impressions,” he said. He remarked that he bore no grouse over Obi because even if nominated for the position, he would decline because he still had four years to lead as Ebonyi governor. “We have supported each other in the past, you supported me during my campaign to be governor even donating vehicles and this is the time to show that one good turn deserves another. “We have never had differences in any matter in the past but have been badly misrepresented in this present matter. “I want to officially congratulate you on your nomination because nobody can impose a deputy on another but I maintain that the process was not satisfactory to us,” he said. The governor noted that the process was faulted because five names were submitted for the position and six people from other geo political zones were selected to review the list. “We, therefore, faulted the non-selection of an Igbo leader in the review of the list and the non-selection of indigenes of Ebonyi and Imo in the list. “I am particular about Ebonyi because we have been the whipping child of the south east zone as I have fought and will continue fighting to correct this anomaly,” he said. https://www.webexmusic.com/what-peter-obi-said-during-meeting-with-gov-umahi/
