Well, it depends. I wouldn't paint it myself, either. But I know lots of people who did it, as it safes lots of money.
I wanted to do everything right wiht the painting and coating, so I went to a car painter and got it done. I even got a ceramic coating https://nano-care.com/ceramic-coatings/, to seal the paint and safe it from scratches. It was a bit expensive but so worth it if you wanna keep the paint bright and shiny.

For a few months I'm an independent craftsman. That's why I recently bought a Ford Transit and started to convert it. Since I'm almost finished now, I still look for a way to store my documents, materials (for example notepad, pencils and laptop) and tools properly. Because I have to take a lot of tools with me each day, which I pack into few toolboxes, I got the idea to build racks inside the van. I am actually a passionate carpenter as well, but I do not have so much time for it. How would you estimate the time one needs to build such racks from wood? 2-3 days?
