On displaying Vin no online, it's what I've done in the past and seriously considering doing it again but there has been somethings going on lately where people take our Vin online, register the Car without our Consent to secure loan from their establishment and NEVER come back to buy the Vehicle.
I give people vin no whenever they requested for it on watsapp simply because if I findout my Car got registered without my consent, it will be easy to trace those I gave it to. This is simply the reason why I stopped displaying Vin online. I may reconsider it in future though. Once again I apologize for my rant, there are lots of good people here, some have turned to my family sef. I'm human

Nairaland has made most of us here to be aware of seriously accidented vehicles that are being sold as clean titled/non-accidented vehicles or non-flooded being sold as flood-free vehicles. Also most of us learnt and acquired knowledge on how to use VIN to investigate history of vehicles prior to purchasing and, for most of us, it was still here that we learnt of carrying out vehicle checks inspection / comprehensive diagnosis before buying.

You just claimed buyers are much in Nairaland and most importantly with too much sense, due to awareness gained from here. But you also said that you prefer to seal deals outside of here, BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHY? THOSE OUTSIDE OF HERE MOSTLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH VIN OR GO ABOUT PERFORMING COMPREHENSIVE PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION. SO THEY UNKNOWINGLY BUY CARS BASED ON LOOKS AND RUN & DRIVE CHARACTERISTICS AS THEY ARE USUALLY NOT CAR SAVVY OR KNOWLEGDEABLE ENOUGH. That is criminal of fraudulent dealers who hide from disclosing full details/status of vehicles on display.

Most informed people detest people like you, always standing on the side of wrong doing and supporting bad activities.
