A very educative post, and like the recent discussions in car talk section concerning auto scam, anyone INTENTIONALY or wrongly advertising a car as full/fullest option when it is not, indulges in auto scam.

I guess Heavenlybang & radautoworks have done well to do justice to the topic already cos as for me it's when a dealer or seller INTENTIONALLY lies, misleads or preys on a buyer's ignorance or negligence to sell a bad, defective, lemon or otherwise car without disclosing all the true details of the present condition of the car to be sold, which also includes documents associated with the vehicle too.

Hence hiding fake/false documentation, incomplete/missing documentation in addition to non-disclosure of all issues/faults present in the car are all regarded as auto scam, for instance evil people buy badly accidental/damaged cars, carryout cosmetic repairs on them and sell to unsuspecting clients.

Hi guys
I Pulled the car out for a drive this morning and the VSC and Check Engine light both came on,
have been trying to figure out the meaning of VSC light on my dashboard.
I hope is not something bad.

You could also first confirm that you did not trigger the VSC switch yourself mistakenly while driving, that is if your vehicle has the button/switch either on your steering wheel or dash, confirm this first and switch off the VSC button. Then if this fails run a scan and proceed from there.

Or use a crude method of removing either the positive or negative terminal of your car battery for a while and reconnect back and hopefully it might reset the issue if you're lucky, though it works in some cases.

Nwanneni please if you can, run a vin check of the importers replacement engine to at least ascertain the history of the engine condition as a guide like Gazzuzz and CarGuideNG always advice. So that they they don't give you another bad engine again.
