you can show me pictures of your work like many in this forum are doing it help to decide what to do, at least you should already understand how thing work here... the good thing about open conversation here is that people share their opinions and experiences that is why you should show photos and then categorize them, and i dont mean internet pictures, your already made cubicles

That is quite high, are there alternatives that are cheaper, can i see more samples you have very few pictures here.

I recently bought wood somewhere in the east @ the prices listed below;

3x 4 x 12= 800

2x 4 x 12= 450

2x 3 x 18= 550

1 x 10x 12= 1300

Good luck.
My advise is you buy it yourself then negotiate for workmanship with the carpenter.

The higher ur kingpost the higher the sqm of the roof after the woodwork...
The design of the roofing also matters...

So if i tell you the height show you the dimension, roof design you can roughly guess the total sqm right?

@Money121 from your experience, what are the factor that affect mainly the quotation of the roof. If i say i have a 20m by 20m house in floor plan (curves and edges ignored) does it will it mean my roof certainly will be more than 400sqm. With your experience one will be able to roughly assume what to expect.

Imported Aluminum 0.55mm step tile is now 2100 naira per sqm.. Longspan 1900.. Metcoppo - 2150.

0.45mm longspan is 1450 per sqm. Imported

I am currently in my parapet level in my house, and i am building something similar to what @vitodorado did, just with some difference and a bit bigger and my site is also in Benin.

Two Iron Bender have given me a quotation for the parapet as follows.

95 pcs of 12mm rod @1200 = 114,000
110 pcs of 10mm rod @1000 = 110,000
25 pcs of 1/4 rod @300 = 7500
1 bundle Binding wire = 5000
Labour = 70,000

Total = 306,500

Second one

90 pcs of 12mm rod @1150 = 103,500
170 pcs of 10mm rod @1000 = 170,000
40 pcs of 1/4 rod @300 = 12,000
1 bundle Binding wire = 3000
Labour = 50,000

Total = 338,500

The second guy says we can cut cost and but it will still fall in the rage of 300,000.

When i compare this quote with @Vitodorado it means i will almost spend 2 times his cost on rods, but my carpenter gave me almost similar quotes as his as regards the parapet job. So what is you opinion on the quotes.
