If Ndidi is not serving yellow cards and will play on Sunday, doesn't that means Nigeria should expect a very rough match since yellow cards are useless afterall.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joelsteron: 10:02am On Nov 15, 2025
Benjamin must remain in CB on Sunday, coach shouldn't be tempted to bring on Seyi and push the latter to the RB. ABEG don't change that back four. Osayi will never repeat those silly erros that almost cost use the game.

Onyeka replaces Ndidi (Onyedika can come in to replace him)

Leave Iwobi, Lookman, Adam, Osimhen and Chukwueze as they are.

Simon Moses and Ejuke can come in 2nd half to traumatize Congo and make them regret. What do you think guysgrin grin grin

Most of opponents knew super eagles concede goals from RB. grin

forgiveness:
Woah! Congratulations to SE. They did a wonderful job today.

I no fit chop while watching the 2nd half. Although, I wasn't able to watch the first half, so I can't give my input.

Notwithstanding, Gabon dominated at the beginning of the 2nd half but as soon as Onyeka came on, the dynamic changed.

This means, the midfield was lacking with just Iwobi and Ndidi. A 2 man midfield no go work ooo.

Osimhen though missed chances but couldn't see much of the ball before Onyeka came in.

Now, let us assume Osimhen was yanked out before the extra time. What will you say?

Will your fi.sh brain forget all he did in the pass because of this game if he was yanked out before extra time? Because I am beginning to see some clamoring for players to be benched or thrown out because of 1 or 2 matches.

This was my argument the last time. Some players will naturally get love even if dem no play shingbin and that is enough to..... I don't know if we understand psychology.

When you transfer hate, are you expecting effective performance?

Tonight, Osimhen still got loved despite his short coming at some point. Why?

Anyway, Onyeka was the big deal today. He was everywhere allover running and tackling. Woah!!!

Ejuke came in an added something new to the team but the guy end product na suspect. Still the same dribble with no end product.

One thing I liked about his game today was his ability to track back to defend. That was good.

That goalkeeper dey fear man pickin. Dude was too careless.

Now, we move to DRC. They played with determination today against Cameron. How I wish the game dragged into extra time. Make dem self tire small.

The coach should not underestimate them.
Still the same dribble with no end product. compared to moses?
Cut him some slacks pls.

Good win but our midfield will need to improve in the final.

I think we are better off dropping Lookman for Onyeka. Onyedika will need to start since Ndidi is suspended for the final.

Start off more solid and if need be, get more attacking later. My proposed formation:

Osayi
Fredrick
Bassey
Sanusi

Onyeka
Onyedika
Iwobi

Chukwueze
Osimhen
Simon
Ejuke for simon cool

if he can only know the right time to dribble and when to release the ball he is will a delight to watch

His final balls have improved though
Better than moses simon if you want to talk about knowing when to dribble and when to release the ball and crossings. End.

Imagine Ekuke in his natural position. You all will just forget simon and Lookman existed. grin

I hope Eric Chelle will just Give us Ejuke (LW) and Chukwueze as (RW) on Sunday. These two are ball playing wingers that easily drops into middle against low blocking teams, also dangerous at 1v1.
Bench Lookman and Moses Simon for me.

Eric Chelle must stick to playing Chukwueze in a free role. Timely releasing the ball, dribbling in tight spaces and finding our stickers. I need more assist. Lookman and Moses should continue to drag left wing position amongst themselves. God bless Nigeia...grin grin grin grin

A match fit Lookman is 1million times better Dan akor
Lookman wouldn't have scored that goal Adam scored from Osimhen pass. Too predictable. Plus lookman will not make runs to allow Osimhen thrive. He just want to score his own goal. Take this to bank cool.

I hope Eric Chelle would find reasons to bench Lookman for Chukwueze at the playoffs. Feed your striker, No! He always wants the goal for himself.

Guy grin cheesy

Normally, Bruno na average defender but that move na snake bite and a very difficult move to defend against.

All my years of watching ball, I never see defender wey no chop the move.

By the way, Ola Aina might not return until January and is likely to miss the AFCON.
Omo seeing Ronny doing that to our LB... embarassed
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joelsteron:

Na this one and sanusi wan face yamal for world cup... grin

We desperately need options in our left back. If Agu is not ready for playoffs, Ola Aina should play LB and Frederick remains in RB position.

Bruno Onyemaechi will never be our starting LB. He belongs to the reserves of the Super Eagles. Not even the bench.

Again, I laugh because Zaidu, a better LB, was undermined because of this Bruno. It is well.
Please the Zaidu I watched against Benin had my heart in my mouth till he got injured and left the pitch.

I will struggle to comprehend a super eagles squad without Benjamin Fredrick cool

Since when did anyone leave a huge responsibility in the hands of a 20 year old? What a discovery! Osayi sorry

Im patiently wait on Agu to show our left backs how it's done .

Pundits in the house,

What's the deal with Gift Orban and why does he keep getting ignored? That dude is swift, skillful and pacey. What gives?

It honestly bothers (and annoys) me the amount of untapped potential and depth we have in the squad, and yet we keep relying on the same players over and over - sometimes to diminishing returns like in the case of Troost-Ekong
We need planB . Thank God for Adams. But super eagles is screaming Orban and Ejuke...
Bitter Truth is Osimhen might not be always available.

Nemesis is when Rohr beat us in Uyo to qualify for world cup. Nff and some fans hurt that man badly.
Unless luck come upon Nigeria, on Tuesday, Rohr will fight.

Eric Chelle switch that formation to 4-3-3

Take off Lookman/simon , bring on Chukwueze.
Bring on Alhasan for Tolu Arokodare.
Allow Iwobi move forward
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joelsteron: 9:46pm On Oct 07, 2025
4 things to expect from Chell
1. Usual formation i.e 442
2. Two strikers
3. Simon starts from the bench
4. Chukwueze from the middle and expect to see Iwobi in a different position, not CM.

add yours

Eric Chelle didn't call up 9 strikers for fun. There's definitely a game plan.

Secondly, Chelle is one coach who learns from his mistakes, and i haven't see him make same mistakes. Ekong as case study, so lets not all worry about 4 midfielders issues. Chelle is not dumb. cool

The guy is desperate for World cup just as we are... Feel free to come back to this post after qualifying for world cup. grin grin

Iwobi wont "deeplie" or play centrally naa. Lol... he offend u before? 😂
Haha, yes of course. My issue with Iwobi is clear, he can’t shoot, offers nothing in 2v2s, can't shield the ball, always in a haste to pass sideways and doesn’t mark or press.

This is why I want chele to stay. Chelle seems open to new ideas. See how he played chukwueze as a no 10 and already he is bringing chrisantus uche into the team. He will be open to inviting akinsamiro and using onyedika. He is not stuck with a set of players.
Exactly.... And bench Simon, Iwobi and Ndidi. We are fine

We keep benching Raphael Onyedika in the Super Eagles when his passing and composure on the ball is one of the keys to setting up the Creativity blocks of our middle game.

Raphael Onyedika, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Christantus Uche... these lads hold the keys. Then throw in an experienced Iwobi operating as he does at Fulham. But naah... we keep limiting ourselves.
You were doing fine until you mentioned Iwobi. Please stop it. Just stop it. Thank you
