Im sorry, we can't evolve with iwobi, ndidi et cetera midfield. We simply can't. |

Since the day I saw the video where Chukwueze called out his club, Fulham, for not posting him and only posting Iwobi and Bassey, I knew something was off psychologically.
Penalties can be missed by anyone, even star players. But Chukwueze was clearly angry about something, and that showed in his nonchalant approach to the kick.
He’s petty, and I stand by that.
Hence, Chelle must play him for the entire duration of today’s game. In fact, I hope it goes to extra time and all 120 minutes, so he can fully enjoy himself. |

TheSuperNerd: So you saying we may go 4-3-3? I refer to the introduction of Chukwueze for Adams while keeping Lookman. So is that it? I'm scared that what i feel Chelle might come up with. And yes keeping Lookman. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joelsteron: 10:20pm On Jan 09 |
TheSuperNerd: Ndidi and Onyeka coz of the yellows, I can understand but Ndidi is gonna lead the team out.
Why Adams? Yhe Algerians are likely to sit mid-block and deny us access centrally early. Where we have Lookman. And when the game is tight and compact early, a pure box striker like Adams and Osimhen can get isolated. It will make more sense to start with a fluid front line, create overloads, progression from wide areas. and pull Algeria out of position which was why i feel Chelle might deploy Chukwueze tomorrow. |

These trio Ndidi, Onyeka and Adams may not start together against Algeria. Both or One of Chukwueze and Onyedika might start. Chelle the mysterious man. |

FiveFootNinja: It still frustrates me that we lost a clear advantage over Algeria in terms of fitness. They played 120 mins. We were supposed to wear them down with a team playing at its absolute peak. Now we'll be going to face Algeria who got to Marrakesh before us, with a squad that missed one full day of training plus might be half-distracted by the match bonus issue. The most frustrating part is that if we crash out, every body will just move on like nothing happened and the NFF will continue along with their business. We won the game already. Relax brah |

Good game, Eric Chelle. Good game, Iwobi (Not all heroes wear capes) As for Osimhen and Lookman. Guys relax. They’ll be fine. But let’s be honest with ourselves: Lookman inside the 18-yard box or in shooting positions rarely looks for a striker. That’s not an insult, it’s a pattern. Check his assists ....most of them come when he’s not in prime shooting zones. This for those saying he has assists. Hehehe Now, Osimhen was right and wrong. Right to be frustrated. Wrong in how he called it out. But anyone paying attention knows this frustration didn’t start today... it’s been brewing since the Congo games that cost us the World Cup spot. Before you come for me, ask yourself this: If the Super Eagles were goal down, chasing the game, and that same situation happened tonight… How many of you wouldn’t be calling for Lookman to warm the bench? Exactly. Football isn’t emotions only. It’s moments, decisions, and accountability. This is a wakeup call for super eagles teammates. They will be fine. We are winning the AFCON . |

TheSuperNerd: Well, not defending Ogunmodede or Fidelis but what if the Onyedika-FDB pair was Chelle's choice?
FDB is a strong lad shaa. I just hope he helps Onyedika in the middle. I want to believe Chelle gave him defensive instructions. Chukwueze will likely play his free role. True Will likely see Akinsanmiro or Nnamdi early if things go south. |

TheSuperNerd: Folks would still use this game to knock Onyedika while still excusing Iwobi's defensive lapses.
Iwobi has Ndidi and Onyeka to cover him. Who is Onyedika paired with today? An attack minded-FDB?? It is well. Let the first 45 play out. That 2 man midfield is somehow. Honestly Chelle don't have assistants... Those NFL specialists are just there for NFF |

Or 35 EEGA: Chelle should rest our first XI.Let the second XI start the game.
5 players from the first XI can still come from the bench, after the hour mark.
Please we should rest Ndidi to avoid fatigue, he is already 29.
We need him fresh and rejuvenated for our R16 clash. |

TheSuperNerd: Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle shares what it means to him coaching Nigeria.
"When I took this Super Eagles job, I entered another level. At every moment, everyday, I feel the pressure. I try every time to do my best, like the player on the pitch. I am very proud to work for this nation." Chelle said. Nff by mistake sack this man, another African team is snapping him off same day. |

I haven’t even been able to read many positive comments about the Super Eagles, I was just laughing. Omo, whether we like it or not, Tinubu’s era has made Nigerians a very bitter people. Maybe that’s not the perfect word, but it’s honestly how it feels. Personally, I enjoyed the match yesterday. It felt like watching a Premier League game—pure entertainment. And I trust Eric Chelle. He’ll definitely work on those errors. Football is still football. BTW guys did you see my predicted formation against Uganda |
