Christianity EtcBefore I Die, I Will Destroy Certain Deeper Life Doctrines I Set Up – Kumuyi by john6006(op): 7:41am On Apr 03, 2015
A lot of members of the popular Deeper Life church are still stunned over a recent message from it’s General Overseer Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi. Pastor Kumuyi while preaching during Sunday’s Worship Service spoke extensively about ‘The Word in A Transformed Believer’ where he openly chastised some sections of the church. The 73-year-old preacher disclosed that some church leaders have bastardized the church’s doctrines.

He reportedly stated that most of the church doctrines were man made, and he created them, not that they were from the scriptures – the reason of which is to set people on the right path are now being transformed into the things of this world. Seemingly angered by the situation, he said that most traditions that were borrowed into the church are going to be demolished. He went on to go against the tradition usually observed by the Church’s marriage committee, which is peculiar to Deeper Life.

He asked the congregation of the church “Are we not conforming with the world. Why are you dressing like of the world?” He then called on the men to be in charge in their own home. In his own words, “Women ministry is our own making, and if we find out that the women ministry is taking us into the world and we are helping each other on how to live like the world and marry like the world and deal with your husband like the world – if it is not helping us and if it is going to hinder us, we strike if off.”

“Before I leave, I mean before I go, I am going to remove everything that I set up, that I thought will help Deeper Life and make us Holy, make us sanctified, make us deep, make us deeper. And I see it is not making us deeper, before I leave, I will uproot all of them and present to you a pure church before I leave. “What am I afraid of? I can only be afraid of the judgement of God, therefore whoever responds, praise the lord, whoever reacts praise the lord. We are going to stand on the word of God. “By the grace of God I am not going yet, but, before I go and I am telling you and all our leaders can hear.

I am not going to hand over Deeper Life to somebody who will come and destroy everything we’ve built up for years, because he’s man pleaser, women pleaser, never! Somebody who will stand on this word and earnestly defend the faith once delivered unto the saints, that’s what we are going to do. And the whole church will unite. We are not looking for graduates, degrees- whoever! Peter did not have a degree. “Whoever, will maintain that sanctification, Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, Whoever will have backbone and be willing to stand faithful, sacrifice everything and bring to church to obedience to the word of God, that’s the kind of leader, God will raise up for Deeper Life after I am gone.” While the sermon lasted, a lot of members especially women weep.

CrimeHow My Security Guard Invited Armed Robbers To Attack My Household - Housewife by john6006(op): 3:40pm On Mar 07, 2015
A nurse, Ukamaka Onyeka has revealed how her security guard allegedly invited armed robbers to attack her household.

The suspects simply identified as Tunde is being interrogated by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Lagos State Police Command.

Narrating her ordeal to Crime Watch Today, Onyeka said: “On the fateful day, my husband travelled out of Lagos, leaving me, my children, house-help and our security guard.  I went to work and returned late at night.

“When I drove into our compound, I did not expect that armed robbers were at our security post.  We have a dog but it did not bark. Immediately, I alighted from my car and entered my room, two men armed with knife and cutlass pounced on me and warned that I must co-operate with them as two others armed with guns were keeping watch at our gate.

“They pushed me down, tied my hands and legs with rope.  They also forced clothes inside my mouth.  After covering my mouth with clothes, they now ordered me to show them where I kept money in the house. One of them placed a knife on my throat, threatening to slash it if I failed to co-operate. When I saw that they meant business, I now showed  them where I kept a N1`00,000 which they collected.  The money was for my school fees.

“After collecting the money, I thought they would go. They also collected laptops, jewellery, wristwatch and mobile phones. They commanded me to take them to my husband’s room. In the room, out of fear, I still pointed to them the wardrobe where my husband kept money, they opened it and collected the money in his box.

“The hoodlums, after collecting the money, still stabbed me on the neck.  They locked me in the room in the pool of my own blood.  I  bled for about 20 minutes.

“Why I strongly suspect my guard was that while the robbery was going on, the hoodlums were calling his names.  He was also busy patrolling from one room to the other without the robbers hurting him or even cautioning him.  At a point, he came inside the room where I was tied and told the armed men not to kill me.

“After the attack, my guard left in company with the robbers, but later resurfaced.  I now accused him of inviting the robbers. Moreso, during and after the attack, our dog did not bark and I later discovered that Tunde had locked it inside the cage.

“As I went to report at the Ago police station, Tunde fled from the premises. When the police came, I discovered that the knife that used on me was my kitchen knife which Tunde collected from me to peel oranges. The rope they used in tying me is also the one he was using to hang his clothes. The pillow case they stuffed in my mouth also belonged to him,” she said.

A senior police officer claimed that Tunde has admitted to the crime.

CrimeEatery Owners Where Menstrual Blood & Faeces Are Used For Cooking, Caught In Imo by john6006(op): 3:28pm On Mar 07, 2015
It was a very horrible, absurd and gory sight to behold earlier today ,as the owners of a popular eatery around the sphericity of Aladinma student alliance met their well timed waterloo. Eyewitness recounted that trouble started within the wee hours of the morning, when the vigilante group in charge of security around the alliance caught a woman in possession of blood filled calabash doing some incantation in front of an eatery by name “Sweet Diamond” situated at the heart of the alliance.

When she was accosted ,she lied that she was conducting a prayer session and the security guards overlooked her. She was almost allowed to go scot free, not until suspicion grew and the fetish contents of the calabash was discovered. She was almost lynched by the irate mob, if not for the confessions she was forced to make. She made confessions which smeared the self acclaimed Manager of the eatery by name Dubem.

At the long run, Dubem the innocent looking guy was apprehended and thoroughly beaten to the extent that he made confessions that has caused palpable fears, regrets and tension around the vicinity and its adjoining environment. In the course of the confessions, the angry scrum started digging the entrance to the eatery. To the greatest shock and dismay of everyone, fetish and diabolical items like; human heart, various sizes of padlocks ,black and white handkerchiefs, traces of human blood and various human body parts etc was harvested. Dubem in his fear gripped, stuttering and incoherent statements, confessed how he uses the menstrual flow of his female workers to cook food.

How he uses large quantities of human feaces to prepare egusi soup, how he uses human blood to prepare stew and so many atrocious acts. He even confessed how he sleeps with all his female staffs, takes their destiny and compels them to keep a sealed lips. He further professed how he enchanted his customers and continuously enchants his prospective customers immediately they step their foot inside the eatery.

He also admitted how he generates and controls an influx of customers to his eatery using fetish means. What da heck? God please come and witness these man’s gross inhumanity against your children. Yuck!!!!!!! Taking a look at his blood soiled body and devilish face, one will wonder and ask” what on earth will warrant someone to engage in these soulless acts”? With the kind of customers he commanded, I can vehemently state that about 80% of residents and visitors of Aladinma and Okwu Uratta have in several ways consumed commodities from that eatery, if not Garri & soup, chicken, provisions, drugs, it must be shawarma or pop corn etc. I really share in their fears. But they should be unruffled and take solace in the word of God which says that;”the evil that the children of God are ignorant of,won’t find them”. But in all, thank God he met his comeuppance in an unlikeliest of ways to the great admiration and relief of people he has kept in captivity.

A little word to all other owners of the various eateries scattered in Imo state who engage in these ungodly aforementioned acts. My advice is as a matter of urgency you should all desist from these insensate and heinous activities before a gruesome and well deserved pill is forcefully administered down your blood soaked gullets. It is said that we don’t only fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers and agents of darkness. These are extreme times, its high time we formulated extreme measures………….
Only God,Carefulness and high level of circumspection are the requisites in these devilish moments

Politics: Big Shame!!! Photo Of Drunk Police Man Found At Surulere, Lagos Today by john6006(op): 7:40am On Mar 07, 2015
It's so painful and disappointing to see this show of shame on my way to the office this morning at Odo-Eran, Cele bus stop. Imagine a Nigerian Police officer who is supposed to be serving and protecting lives to be in this condition as early as 8:30 am. ‎He was so drunk that he couldn't even stand or walk without being supported.

Romance''it's Not Good When A Woman Is Not Under A Man’s Roof'' – Moji Olaiya by john6006(op): 7:29am On Mar 07, 2015
Even with her marriage that crashed some time ago, Nollywood actress Moji Olaiya who recently celebrated her 40th birthday, says she has not ruled out getting married again in the nearest future. Because it is not good for a woman to not stay under a man's roof.

In an interview published on Punch this morning, Moji said:

Quote

“What went through my mind during my birthday was giving thanks to God that my family was there for me and my friends really supported me. My colleagues were also there to celebrate with me, so there was no time to think about a man that was not there by my side.
Seeing my daughter and my mother beside me made me so happy. I was not thinking about anything that has to do with my marriage at all.
Although there were some split seconds that I wished that my man was beside me to celebrate such a milestone in my life, since I am alive, I thank God.
I still want to get married because it is not good when a woman is not under a man’s roof. If it comes fine and if it does not come, I am okay.''

Actress Moji Olaiya had in an earlier interview with Vanguard revealed that she quit her marriage because her husband was physically abusive.

CrimeBusiness Woman Losses Millions To Herbalists & 3 Fake Witches [photo] by john6006(op): 9:36am On Feb 22, 2015
The police in Lagos have declared wanted a man whose stock-in-trade is using his three wives who pose as witches to defraud unsuspecting victims with false promises of a better future.

The suspect, Awosina Folorunsho and his wives Deborah, Hadiza and Folake got busted when Moses Okafor, husband of their latest victim, Helen Okafor trailed his wife to their hideout at Sango Ota in Ogun State. She was alleged to have paid more than N10 million to the syndicate before her husband got wind of their activities.

Despite alleged death threats, Moses summoned the courage and alerted the police at the Lagos State command, Ikeja, where operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, were detailed to storm their hideout in Sango-Ota area of Ogun State where they arrested one of the wives, Deborah while Awosina and the other wives fled the compound.

According to the police, their modus operandi is to advertise in major national dailies. As soon as their victims get in touch with them through the phone numbers on the adverts, they will devise different means including threat to life to extort money from them.

Sounding sober, Deborah, an indigene of Ekiti State, claims that her husband is a very popular herbalist in Sango Ota.

“He is a well-known herbalist and has customers across the country. His medicine is very potent, that is why people patronize us. This is an unfortunate situation. No one is after the woman and if I tell her, she will still go to another place and spend that money. It was the devil that took over us because we are genuine persons”, she stated.

According to Deborah, who said she is the first wife, it is a taboo to disobey their husband hence their decision to help his business to grow. “He is genuine but sometimes applies wisdom in convincing his customers. This is where we are needed. Recently, he called us that there is a woman who needs help and that we would consult the oracle for her. I did and discovered that nothing is wrong as she will make much money in 2015. My husband told me that she is rich and desperate. Since her future is already bright, we decided to take advantage of that. The whole money is with my husband. He has not given any of us our share from the business before police arrested me.”

How I fell victim –Helen

Helen’s desperation started when she noticed that a certain neighbour’s shop had turned to a Mecca of some sort. “I own a cosmetic shop in Balogun market, Lagos Island. I have a neighbour who could barely pay her rent in the market. Suddenly, she was having so many customers and her goods hardly stay up to three days. She was always travelling to buy goods at least three times in a month and that is unusual. It was really embarrassing and I sought solution everywhere, all to no avail. It was then that my friend advised me to seek an alternative source of attracting customers. She was the one who suggested that I should read that particular newspaper.”

Helen claims that before her husband rescued her, she had lost more than N10 million to the syndicate. “I saw the advert in one of the national dailies. The advert was a solution to stagnant businesses. When I called them, they told me that it will only cost about N10,000 for prayers and buying the necessary ingredients.

“Initially, I went to see them at Mushin and I was given a form to fill with my passport. They took N8000 and told me that the money was meant to be used to buy all the ingredients which include chicken, hot drink and some other things that would be used to appease the gods.

“During the consultation, the herbalist told me that it was my neighbours in the market that had stolen my star. I believed because my business suddenly started dwindling. I can hardly finish selling my cosmetics in three months.

“After much prayer, he said that we will travel down to Sango Ota to collect money that I will reinvest in my business.”

On getting to Sango Ota, she was ushered into a very big compound and asked to go and sit in the living room. “I begged him to get the money for me but he said that it is only the owner that will pick it or else it will lose its potency. When we got there, I was ushered into a living room that had red curtains all over. I was terrified but determined to improve my fortunes.

“Suddenly, the light went off and started blinking. I wanted to run out but discovered that the door was locked. It was then three women all dressed in white appeared. They showed me a carton full of money and asked me to go and bring N3million to cleanse the money and make it mine.

“Baba came in shivering and told me to do it or I will die. He said this was the only way I will have the opportunity to make it. By the time he calculated the amount needed, it was about N3.5 million. After seeing those women who claimed that they are witches of the land, I thought I will die. I quickly made available the amount and gave them”, she narrated.

When she returned, Helen said she was asked again to dip her hands into either of the remaining pot. “It was the same procedure but this time only two women appeared. I dipped my hand into the pot by my right and still picked pieces of paper. I must confess that I heard the sound of thunder and lightning. It was terrified, I begged for mercy while a voice shouted that I must appease the gods. Baba came in again and said that the evil spirits after me are so many. He assured me that the last pot contains what I needed. I was asked to bring N6million to handle the sacrifice. I had no choice because I was scared for my life and secondly the future will be brighter.

“I returned on the agreed date to dip my hand in the third pot but my husband who trailed me, stormed the room and broke the pot. It was then my eyes opened. Inside the pot was another paper written that I should bring N10million or my entire family will be wiped out. I guess that I was under a spell and I thank God for using my husband to rescue me. I guess I was under a spell.”

The victim’s husband, Mr. Okafor said he became worried when he realised that his wife was sneaking out of the house early in the morning and returning home very late. “I confronted her and she told me that she went to visit a friend in Sango. I was worried because this has never happened and the surprising part is that she will always sneak out of the house. On 28th January, 2015, I decided to follow her.

“I allowed her to enter the compound and followed her. I was not comfortable with the environment and I needed to know the secret my wife kept from me. I walked into the house and discovered that it was a shrine. They tried to stop me but I boldly broke the pot and they threatened that I will die. They gathered us to drink all kinds of concoction and to also sign an undertaking that we hired them to perform rituals. We agreed and was detained for the whole night while witches including Deborah told my wife to try and complete the ritual. To escape from them, we agreed and was released the next morning. The next day, I reported the matter to the police.”

PoliticsObasanjo Is Still My Godfather, And I’m His First Political Son” - Jonathan by john6006(op): 8:48am On Feb 22, 2015
President Goodluck Jonathan has said he is not ready to join issues with former President Olusegun Obasanjo over the latter’s decision to tear his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership card. Jonathan, who granted an interview to a team of Nigerian Tribune editors, in Lagos, on Thursday, said that senior citizens must always remember the need to keep Nigeria united even when they have cause to disagree politically. President Jonathan stated that Obasanjo remained his father, adding that disagreement should be expected between political children and their father.

When asked to comment on his quarrel with the former president and tell Nigerians exactly what was responsible for the criticisms he (Obasanjo) had launched against him in recent times, Jonathan said: “First and foremost, Obasanjo is a father to me. By divine providence and the grace of God, I am the President of Nigeria today. It is not by my strength. But God uses human beings to actualise His own blessings on human beings. And He used so many Nigerians, including former President Obasanjo, to play one role or the other for me. I became the deputy governor of a state, became the governor, the vice president and president. I have no issues with him, and I really don’t want to join issues with President Obasanjo. I think it is not necessary.”

“But I will use this opportunity, because you asked, to just plead with my father that he is a leader, a former president of the country. He has led the country more than anybody — eight years of democratic governance and almost four years of military governance. No other person has that kind of record. The stability of this country is critical in terms of the economy of this country. Rating agencies downgrade countries that are going into elections because the feeling is that there would be crisis. When you paint the colour of instability for your own nation, you are doing so much injustice to the country because it affects the economy of the country, not just affecting the country in terms of security and social issues alone. It affects the economy directly. So, I plead with very senior citizens that Nigeria is dear to us; we don’t have any other country than Nigeria.

“So, actions and inactions, or utterances, should be guarded so that we don’t expose our country to the international community as if it is a country in danger, a country that is about to collapse. You are frightening investors, especially those who invest hot cash, to pull out their money from the country and that would affect the stock market and it would affect the economy.

“For one reason or the other, Obasanjo may disagree with me as his first political son. You can even disagree with your own biological children, as a human being, not to talk of disagreeing with your political children. So, he can agree or disagree with me, but the utterances have to be managed in a way that it does not affect the economy and security of this country.”

CrimeChilling Tale Of Abuja Igbo Business Man That Was Murdered By His Best Friend by john6006(op): 8:24am On Feb 22, 2015
The gruesome murder of Tony Eze, a 39-year-old International businessman based in Abuja and a trader at the Abuja Aluminium market,  have been unravelled by detectives attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Force Headquarters, Abuja. The late Eze, from Umuagede village in Nsukka L.G.A. of Enugu State met his untimely death after a night out with friends when assasins hired by his best friend shot him dead

Eyewitness account said he was shot dead by two young men on a motor bike who closed in on him while he was trying to avoid a porthole, just a few meters away from the refreshment garden at Tungama area of Zuba in the outskirts of Abuja.

According to Vanguard, The deceased reportedly left his shop about 5pm and got to the garden where he met three of his friends already seated and enjoying drinks. it was gathered that about 7:20pm, they all set to leave, moving in a convoy, with his best friend driving the car in front. Eze was the last to join before he was blocked and shot dead inside his car.

After the owner of the garden and other sympathizers gathered at the scene, his friends reportedly drove away claiming that they heard a bang at their back but thought that Eze must have hit something and that was why they continued without him.

Reports said that even after the arrival of his friends at the scene, no serious efforts were made to either take him to the hospital or contact the police at Zuba. Policemen arrived the scene around 11pm and all efforts made to revive Eze in the hospital failed. One of the doctors was said to have reprimanded his friends for not rushing him to the nearest hospital immediately they arrived the scene, saying that he could have survived the gun shots if he had been given immediate medical attention.

The case was however cracked after private detectives succeeded in arresting a suspect in possession of the phone of the deceased which was the only item his assailants disappeared with after the incident. The suspect turned out to be in the same Aluminium Market where late Eze had his shop.
the police said,

"We drilled him for long hours until he capitulated and started confessing how they killed the innocent young man.”

According to him, two people came to engage their services for the job in their cult group. He gave a detailed description of them and one of the descriptions tallied with that of the late businessman’s best friend who also had business in the same market with him. The suspect said that when they asked those that came to hire them why they wanted the man dead, they said he had been importing goods from abroad and needed to be silenced. They were paid N1.2million, some of them got N250,000 while others got N300,000 each.”

Giving a detailed account of how they carried out the operation on the day in question, the suspect said some of them arrived the restaurant earlier than the deceased and sat by a table near where he later sat with his best friend who hired them. ‘He said that as soon as they were ready to go, his friend winked at them at the nearby table and they used their telephone to flash their colleagues who were positioned outside the area as a signal that they should proceed to hit their target. He further said they were told that he would be coming in a car behind. So, his friend quickly drove off in front with the deceased following behind and when they got to the point where they had to join the expressway, the friend in front drove faster. As soon as his friend entered the expressway two of the hired killers blocked the businessman’s car and one of them just pulled out his gun, approached the driver’s side and yanked open the door. While Eze was passionately pleading with them to take whatever they needed and spare his life, the armed man shot him point blank, picked his phone and sped off.’’

Police sources also hinted that after the arrest of five of the suspects at the popular Aluminium Market, Abuja, his best friend confessed during interrogation that the deceased gave him N5million to exchange for him around October 2014, and he was yet to pay him back before he was killed. It was learnt that initially, he wanted to be smart by diverting the attention of detectives to focus their searchlight on one of the brothers to the deceased but when he learnt that one of the killers had confessed to the crime, he withdrew his allegation. Sources said detectives were still searching for the second person that hired the killers together with the best friend to the deceased and would soon arrest him.

The deceased brother said:

"This is the greatest shock we have received in our area in recent times. That suspect is well known to all of us as Tony’s best friend. They used to travel together to China on business trips. In fact, he was closer to our brother than anybody in the family. Whenever we needed to advise our brother, we usually channelled it through this his friend who happens to come from Eha-Alumonah Community, a neighbouring town in Nsukka.

Interestingly, this his friend was leading pallbearers during Tony’s burial. He was the first to arrive our compound before other of his friends and business partners arrived. He was shedding tears uncontrollably. Even after the burial, his wife prepared our traditional food for the bereaved family which friends usually partake in. I can remember vividly that a few days after Tony’s burial, the suspect told some members of our family that he (the deceased) owed some business associates a whooping sum of N12 million and there was urgent need to settle the debt but we swept it aside by telling him that it could come up after the mourning period.

I will use this opportunity to thank the Nigeria Police Force and the private detectives for the success recorded so far because these startling confessions and arrests will go a long way to assuage our deep feeling of loss. (In tears) Now see, for how much did they take the precious life of this young, amiable, promising and easy-going young man? Who will train his children and take care of his young wife? he asked

FamilyWant To Have More Friends? 7 Tricks To Be A Better Friend by john6006(op): 6:47pm On Jan 29, 2015
Everyone want to have friends, but not everyone can be a good friend. First of all, let’s find out what friendship is. I think that friendship is a kind of relationship where two or more people are bound together. These people have common interests, values and outlooks. Such relationships are usually based on mutual understanding and trust. It often happens that two absolutely different personalities begin to think the same way and use humor to entertain each other.

Just like love, friendship is a sacred feeling that brings emotional safety and happiness. Unfortunately, many people don’t appreciate friendship, but every person wants to have a lot of true friends. We often yearn to gain more than give, but it doesn’t work like that all the time, because people try to find like-minded friends. No one will tolerate someone’s rudeness, constant betrayals and humiliation. Friendship implies the observance of certain rules and moral obligations. The friend should be sure that you will give them a helping hand, if needed.

Friendship is an exciting and challenging thing. It teaches us to rejoice, support each other when going through hard times and treat your friends with love and respect. It’s also very important to keep responsibility for your friendship, because it’s your choice. If you want to have more true friends, here are a few tricks you may want to try.

1. Try to be useful to your friends

Friendship is not a contract. It’s the union of two people, who cooperate, have fun and spend a lot of time together. Why not create something good for the welfare of your friend? I think that it’s a noble and generous deed. The best friend is an essential part of your life. By all means, don’t be greedy with your dearest and nearest. It doesn’t mean that you should supply your friends with money and goods all the time, because you’re not their sponsor. At least, don’t refuse to do your friend a small favor, if they ask you for help. You may do it without request. Such a small and pleasant act of kindness and surprises will draw you together.

When your friend is asking for a valuable advice, you should show your creativity. The phrase “I don’t know” is very dangerous. It proves that you fear to take the responsibility for your words and no will to support. As a caring friend, you should share your point of view and say how would you behave or act in such situation. Moreover, learn to help your friends without expecting something in return.

2. Don’t play a double game

Nowadays people are ready to sacrifice friendship and do the elbow work in order to achieve a desirable result. Artificial friends can easily hide insincerity behind a fake smile. You should always remember that this approach can break people’s hearts. There’s nothing worse than realizing that your friend play a double game. They usually make a convenience of others in order to earn more money or satisfy their needs. Thanks to these cruel people, many of us don’t believe in friendship anymore.

It often happens that weak personalities fear to say the bitter truth and end the friendship. They begin to backbite their former friends. If you want to have a true friend, you should forget about duplicity and get rid of the habit of sitting on the fence. Try to be devoted to your friend and family.

3. Suppress your ambitions

It’s not bad to be ambitious, but when it comes to friendship, you should be careful about it, because all people are absolutely equal. If you prefer to look down on your friends, then sooner or later they’ll notice your negative quality. Your friendship won’t last long, if you don’t make an attempt to suppress the fire of your ambitions. You’d better develop the skill to build and strengthen friendship, instead of focusing on your superiority and destructive ambitions. If your friend isn’t rich enough, then pay attention to their inner nature, values and other accomplishments.

4. Spend more time with friends

You’ll never find time to meet or hang out with your friends, if a friendship is not priority for you. You don’t necessarily to visit night clubs or organize regular parties. You just can just meet somewhere in the park and share your feelings, which stimulate emotions and happiness. I have always believed that a pleasant communication with friends is the best therapy against sorrow. Plus, it’s the source of positivity and the greatest meaning of life for many people, because true friends give inspiration and good mood.

Everyone knows that shopping without friends is extremely boring and even pointless thing. This weekend you may go shopping together. This activity will bring both of you unforgettable memories. There’re many other ways to spend time with friends, but shopping seems to be the best.

5. Learn to keep secrets

Not long ago, my friend told me that women’s friendship is not as strong as men’s, because women cannot keep secrets. Frankly speaking, I don’t agree with his point of view. I know that everything depends on the willpower of people, no matter the gender. All you have to do is to develop the skill to keep your lips sealed.

If your friend decided to share her secret with you, then this info shouldn’t be known to anyone other than you and your friend. One day, she may tell you that it’s not a secret any more. Since that moment you are free to share her experiences or stories with anybody else.

6. Build an emotional connection

The ability to feel the emotions of your friend is crucially important. Friendship cannot be strong, if you focus on your issues only. It’s easy to hide sorrow with a help of a fake smile. Only a true friend can quickly distinguish between a real happiness and the mask of a good mood. If you’ve noticed that your friend is worrying about something, do your best to help relief their anxiety. Concrete actions will help the friend to bounce back in a quite short period of time. The main thing is to be patient enough to bear this short-term negativity and motivate your friend to handle the situation and move on.

7. Stay positive

No matter how you slice it, negativity is a contagious thing. Your friend will always hear you out, but they cannot absorb all this stuff every day and every minute. I know that life can be difficult, but we should learn to laugh with one eye and weep with the other. The statistics prove that optimists have more friends, because it’s easier to communicate with positive people. But what about the proverb, “A friend in need is a friend indeed”? Yes, that’s true. The secret is not to make your friends shoulder the heavy burden of your life issues all the time. Solve the problems together, but don’t forget about humor and common positive activities.

Life without friendship is poor and incomplete. If you want to have a lot of true friends, you have just to be a good person and never stop working on self-improvement. I hope these little pieces of advice helped you understand what friendship is and learn how to behave with your friends. Nothing is perfect in this world, especially when it comes to people. Don’t be hard on yourself and your friends. Do you believe in a true friendship? What other things should we do to be a good friend?
PoliticsBreaking News:belgian Anti-terror Raid In Verviers Leaves Two Dead by john6006(op): 10:02pm On Jan 15, 2015
Two suspected militants have been killed in an anti-terror operation in eastern Belgium, officials say.

Prosecutor Eric Van der Sypt said a third person had been arrested in the raid in Verviers, but no police or members of the public were harmed.

Mr Van der Sypt told reporters police had targeted a group returning from Syria who had been about to launch "large-scale" attacks.

Suspects had opened fire on police with assault weapons, he said.

The suspects immediately and for several minutes opened fire with military weaponry and handguns on the special units of the federal police before they were neutralised," he said.

Anti-terror raids were also under way in the Brussels region, he added.

"We still expect a number of arrests," he said.

The terror threat level in Belgium has been raised to three - the second highest, Mr Van der Sypt said.

Witnesses in Verviers reported hearing heavy gunfire for several minutes and at least three explosions.

Witness Marylou Fletcher told the BBC: "We were going back from shopping and saw the police cars. We thought there was an accident then we heard something blowing up. We started running but did not understand what had happened. There was a lot of gun shots.

"My children cried. They are just terrified."

The area around the train station has been cordoned off and reports on social media say there is a heavy police presence in the town centre.

Verviers is in the province of Liege and has a population of about 56,000.

The incident comes a week after attacks in neighbouring France that killed 17 people.

Belgian media has reported that some of the weapons used in the attacks in Paris were bought near the Midi train station in Brussels.

However, Mr Van der Sypt said no weapons link with the Paris attacks had been established.

The attacks - on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, a kosher market and police - have heightened security fears in several European countries.

In May last year, four people were killed inside the Jewish museum in Brussels. A Frenchman of Algerian descent is in custody in Belgium over the attack.
Foreign AffairsBreaking: Burkina Faso President Announces His Resignation by john6006(op): 6:16am On Jan 09, 2015
Compaore had been in power since a 1987 coup against then-President Thomas Sankara, Compaore’s longtime friend and political ally, who was shot dead. A heavily armed convoy believed to be carrying Mr Compaore was seen travelling on Friday towards the southern town of Po, near the border with Ghana, two diplomatic sources and local media said. His resignation came after tens of thousands of angry protesters packed the streets of Ouagadougou, demanding Mr Compaore’s departure, storming parliament and setting it on fire and ransacking state television. At least three protesters were shot dead and scores wounded when security forces opened fire on the crowd.

Blaise Compaore, the president of Burkina Faso, has been forced to leave power after days of protests by tens of thousands of people calling for his ousting. He announced his resignation in a statement on Friday and called for a 90-day transition to “free and transparent” elections in the West African country. “I declare a vacancy of power with a view to allowing a transition that should finish with free and transparent elections in a maximum period of 90 days,” said the statement, read on local radio and television by presenters. It was unclear who was in charge of the country following his resignation. “As of today, Compaore is no longer in power,” Army Colonel Boureima Farta earlier told tens of thousands of protesters who had gathered in front of the army headquarters. Arsene Evariste Kabore, the former editor-in-chief of RTB Television in Ouagadougou, told Al Jazeera that Compaore had left the capital on Friday, travelling towards the southern town of Po, near the border with Ghana.

Christianity EtcWahala Dey O, Video Of Hon. Olusola Israel Adekunle Performing Rituals In Lagos by john6006(op): 10:24pm On Dec 30, 2014

A shocking video allegedly showing a Lagos State politician performing a strange ritual while naked has been posted on the internet by a controversial Nigerian pastor.

The video titled, ‘APC – A Satanic Party’ was posted on video-sharing website YouTube by ‘Archbishop Samson Mustapha Benjamin’, the General Overseer of Lagos based ministry Resurrection Praise Ministries International, popularly known as ‘Jehovah Sharp-Sharp’.

In it, a man he alleges to be Hon. Olusola Israel Adekunle, the local government chairman of Alimosho, Lagos, is seen stark naked in a swampy area sitting on a horse. He is heard muttering some unintelligible words before pouring a reddish substance all over him which the cleric described as ‘human blood’.

The video was preempted by an article on a Nigerian blog several months ago, revealing that during the ‘ritual’, Hon Adekunle had placed curses on his political enemies while appealing for favour in the eyes of the national leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

In his comments, ‘Archbishop’ Benjamin alleges that the same ritual has been undertaken by all prominent members of APC, describing the political party as ‘satanic’.

“Has Papa E.A Adeboye of RCCG allowed Pastor Prof. Yemi Osibanjo go through the same ritual process or will he allow him to do it,” the cleric then ponders, insisting that although Adeboye is his spiritual father, he has permitted politics to compromise his Christian faith.

Adekunle has yet to respond to the divisive video.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Agbaje made the announcement in a statement, signed on his behalf, by his Director of Publicity, Mr Felix Oboagwina.

Abdulkareem was running mate to late PDP governorship candidate, late Mr Funso Williams in 2003
Abdulkareem, a trained teacher and an accountant, is the wife of a retired Air Force officer and holds an MBA degree.

“I feel humbled about being chosen for this noble responsibility.
“Mr. Jimi Agbaje is an amiable personality. He is a complete gentleman. I hope I can really, really complement him and assist him in winning the 2015 election because Lagosians strongly desire a change in government.” she had said.

Describing PDP’s chances in the governorship polls as very bright, the deputy governorship candidate said she and Agbaje were entering the race at a time when Lagosians wanted to break the shackles of subjugation that had held them bound for 16 years.

“Our chances are very bright Everybody wants a change in Lagos. They want personalities who can bring positive programmes to their lives.

“We want to usher into Lagos a better way of governance, devoid of coercion and intimidation” she said.

Born 23rd June 1961 to the family of Mr. Abdulmananu Mofolorunsho Layode and Mrs. Risikat Ayinke Layode, Abdulkareem began her educational life in Ansar-ud-Deen Primary School, Badagry, Lagos, between 1966 and 1972.

PoliticsAPC Wants To Divide Nigeria, Says PDP by john6006(op): 10:16am On Dec 28, 2014
By Rotimi Akinwumi Snr Correspondent, Abuja

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Saturday accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of pursuing an agenda towards ensuring the division of the country.

The PDP made the allegation against the main opposition party in the country in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in an attempt at showing support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s warning to the APC recently, admonishing leaders of the opposition and some former office holders to “desist from sowing seeds of discord among the people with their incendiary utterances.”

Metuh, in the statement, described the President’s statement as a “perfect act in nationalism, the mark of a true leader who is committed to the interest and welfare of the nation and her citizens” and urged the opposition to “heed this caution, show decency, patriotism and shun do-or-die quest for power.”

The PDP said that the President had shown as always that he is “a committed national and patriotic leader, a decent politician, a lover of a united, stable and prosperous Nigeria and a champion of the integrity of the nation’s electoral process.”
According to the PDP, “it is the height of hypocrisy that the APC, known for making inflammatory and divisive statements, would turn round to point a finger of guilt at the President.

“It is indeed unfortunate that instead of retracing their steps, as all well-meaning citizens would have done under the circumstance, the APC, in their desperation, went ahead to justify their unguarded statements with renewed personal attacks on the President.

“By refusing to heed calls by patriotic Nigerians, including the President, to shed their penchant for inciting statements, and for showing no remorse over the fact that their statements fuel violence and insurgency, the APC has again confirmed that it is a party of unpatriotic elements on a mission to destroy our country.
“This has further confirmed that APC is a party of determined and irredeemable anarchists; a tool in the hands of enemies of our dear nation whose agenda is to divide the people and break up the nation for their selfish interests.

“Nigerians can now see the real reason the APC has been attacking, not only the Presidency but also key institutions of government, including the National Assembly, the judiciary, INEC as well as the military and other security forces. For the APC, every institution that represents or protects the unity of the nation must be attacked, weakened and ultimately destroyed.”

The PDP said further that, “This was the agenda behind the move by the APC to politicise the military and other security agencies, including the DSS and the Police.

RomanceHow A Married Man She Met On BBM Almost Killed Her With Sex And Drugged Drinks by john6006(op): 9:36am On Dec 28, 2014
The role of the social media in building relationships and businesses cannot be overemphasised. But the negative aspects seem to be growing with mixed reactions after the death of Cynthia Osokogu who was killed by friends she met on social media.

Since the case of Cynthia went viral, ladies who were before now ashamed to share their experiences in the hands of bad guys have started talking.

Below is the near-death experience a young lady had with a man who was her BBM friend:

I am a girl who has fears, beliefs, reservations and just your regular typical Nigerian girl. This past few weeks has been one hell of a game for me. I have really been unsettled and I thought I share this story with you.

When Cynthia (the lady killed in the hotel room in Festac, Lagos) surfaced on the internet and various news media, I was scared and it brought back a whole lot of memories to me and also served as and eye opener. Many people castigated and criticised Cynthia (may her gentle soul rest in peace), but my point is, it could have been anybody, anybody at all.

We have met people through various social media. Some have ended up well, some have not but with painful memories. To cut the long story short, let me kindly share with you my encounter with social media especially the very popular Blackberry Messenger (BBM).

I am a graduate and currently serving in Kaduna. I could have runced it, but I needed somewhere to clear my head and forget about my ugly encounter. Here is my story.

I happened to have a married man as a contact on my BBM. He had been asking me out for over six months and I refused to date him. As time went on, he invited me clubbing with him when his wife was outside the country, and I went with him all night. We spent most of the night at Swe bar, Lagos.

I also met his clique of friends, married as well with their various mistresses. We had ‘mad’ fun. After all the clubbing and drinking, he lodged me in a hotel somewhere in Obalende. I felt sort of safe with him. We did not have s e’x, but he made sweet love to me and touched me in places I had never ever imagined.

He kissed me passionately but guess what? He did not have s e’x with me. We did all sorts but there was no penetration. So, to an extent, I trusted he was a good person to be around with. I did not know that it was all part of the plan.

He gave me N10,000 and put me in a cab to go home the next morning. We kept talking and chatting and sending na k’ed pictures to each other and he told me naughty things of how he wanted to whisper things in my ear, I blushed. We didn’t see for two weeks and that was because his wife just came back from Turkey.

One faithful evening, he pinged me that he was organising a beach party/boat cruise and that he would love for me to be his date and that he wanted to open a BBM chat, as a medium for his friends and my friends to interact. I was excited about it, I just wanted to have fun. I was able to get five of my very hot friends.

The BBM group opened and we got chatting. I also realise that majority of them were married and working in reputable firms. It was fun and we didn’t mind if they were married, we just wanted to have fun, as well as some other girls apart from my friends in the group.

We chatted exclusively, sent pictures to the BBM group to introduce ourselves, and we had opened group conversations pending the beach party. And as excited as we were, we went shopping for nice s e’xy beach wears.

The D-day finally came, we all assembled at the Lagos Island Boat Club. I was wowed because it was a high class party. We were cruising in a boat loaded with goodies drinks and hot babes, and as well ‘MARRIED MEN’. I did not care, I just said in my mind that I would not roll with married men anymore after this, that for now, all I wanted to do was to catch some fun. After all, I wasn’t paying bills.

We got there, it was a private beach resort. Most of the beach facilities I got to see there were owned by multinational companies. We got out of the boat, and went to where we were partying. It was a duplex made with wood. It was a very nice setting.

I felt comfortable because it even had a fence around it separating it from other beach houses around. So, there was privacy and of course bouncers (heavy looking guys) guarding the place. I said to myself, this must be heaven, I must be dreaming.

Anyways, we felt free with each other because we had been chatting. It was 5:30pm and the party just started. We had drinks flowing from the private bar tender which happens to be owned by one of the men in the group. Reality struck when I realised that I was feeling dizzy and feeling really funny and light headed. Not only me, but other girls around me too noticed there was something strange about it.

I was also feeling Hot as hell! I had been drugged. They monitored us and when they knew the drug had really gone deep into our system, they moved us up into the main beach house. I could still see faces, but was too weak and Hot to react.

Mr B, the man who took me clubbing, carried me in his hands like a sacrifice and put me down on the floor just as other men also did with their girls. We were eight in numbers; 8 girls, 8 guys, and they all stri*ped us down and had s e’x with us.

I enjoyed it a bit because I was Hot. It was a mixed feeling because I cried, I moaned, but I did not know how many times he came into me. He pounded me hard. I was dizzy, but he grabbed me with force. All I could notice was the wedding ring on his finger. I thought of how wicked and miserable some married can be. How inhuman and heartless they could be.

All of them took turns in switching partners and slept with all of us. I passed out. That was the last thing I could remember. I felt water poured on me. I noticed all the other girls around me too were half na k’ed and some stark na k’ed.

We spent the night at the beach, but the men were no where to be found. I looked round me and all I could see was packs of used condoms. I ran to pick my cloths and possibly raise an alarm. I got dressed, found my phone with an envelope. It contained N16,000 and a note asking us to take N2000 each for transport. Tears of anger and rage filled my eyes and the girls around me as well.

“We were drugged and used like tissue paper. I grabbed my phone and noticed a ping came in. I checked my phone and I noticed the BBM group had been deleted, and a message via BBM from MR B came in. He threatened me that if I say a word to anyone, I would regret it.

I told him he was a bastard, and he said try it. A picture came in, several pictures. In fact, they were pictures of us being na k’ed on the floor. Pictures of the humiliating us but they blurred the faces of the men. In total, I got 20 pictures. I was not myself for a month.

I went back to school, I had no one to talk to. The rest of the semester was hell for me. My CGPA dropped drastically. It was the worst out of the worst result I ever had.

Till today, my friends and I have not discussed this with anyone, but all I could do when I heard of Cynthia’s story was to narrate my own ordeal anonymously and spread the news, the word, and pray they (ladies who do runs) see it and changed their ways.

I am now born again. I have given my life to Christ. I fear men so much that I cannot even move close to them. I still have nightmares, but with time, God will strengthen me and I will move on. My advice to single ladies out there is, do not be desperate for fun. Pray to God to open your eyes of understanding, and pray hard. He who kneels before God will stand before kings and queens.

To all married women, pray hard to God to intervene in your marriages and turn your husbands from bad habits and bad friends. As for me, I do not think I ever want to get married or date a man again. That chapter has been closed for good in my life.

Please, do not ignore my mail. Please post it. There are a lot of things we ladies need to learn. Please post it on your blog and save a soul. It could be your friend, sister, cousin, neighbour.

God bless you as you pass it on. To all readers, I do not care if you insult me or rain abuses at me. My job is to share this encounter with you and save you from any mishap. God bless you all......
