Liverpool have signed Switzerland forward Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City on a five-year deal, after triggering his £13m release clause.
The 26-year-old was Stoke's top scorer last season with eight goals as they were relegated from the Premier League.
He joined the Potters from Inter Milan in August 2015 for a club record fee of £12m.
Shaqiri scored against Serbia at the World Cup as Switzerland reached the last 16, where they lost to Sweden.
In June, he was reported as saying he wanted to leave Stoke and sign for a Premier League club.
Liverpool have already strengthened their squad this summer with the £39m signing of Monaco midfielder Fabinho, and the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.
Shaqiri, who will wear the number 23 shirt, was linked with a move to Anfield in 2014 but Bayern Munich reportedly blocked the transfer.
"As a player you always want to be on the biggest stage in football," he said.

"A few years ago I wanted to come too but it didn't happen. I'm really happy that now I'm finally here. I want to improve myself too, I want to be with the best and I want to win titles.
"It's a huge club with big history, big players and a fantastic coach. So I'm really glad and happy to be here."

in 2013, and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "I think the English phrase to explain the decision to sign Xherdan is a 'no-brainer'.

"I know him well from his time in Switzerland and especially Germany - I have been a long-time admirer. But the added bonus now is that he knows the Premier League and what it takes to perform in this uniquely intense environment.
"He has speed and ability, has the right amount of arrogance on the football pitch, real bravery to want the ball and influence things.

"He is someone who makes a big difference to the squad and team, because he can fit in so many positions in our system."

As per their own statement , Los Blancos officially announced that the 33-year-old is set to leave the Bernabeu, while La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that he’ll join Juventus in a deal worth €105m.

However, Ronaldo is now ready to close that chapter in his career and move on to a new challenge. A statement from the Madrid talisman was released by the club as he moved to explain his reasoning behind the exit and used it as an opportunity to thank the supporters.

“These years in Real Madrid, and in this city of Madrid, have been possibly the happiest of my life,” the statement reads. “I only have feelings of enormous gratitude for this club, for this hobby and for this city. I can only thank all of them for the love and affection I have received.

“However, I believe that the time has come to open a new stage in my life and that is why I have asked the club to accept transferring me.

“I have reflected a lot and I know that the time has come for a new cycle. I’m leaving but this shirt, this shield and the Santiago Bernabéu will continue to always feel as my own wherever I am. Thanks to all and, of course, as I said that first time in our stadium 9 years ago: Hala Madrid!”
While Juventus have dominated in Italy with seven Serie A titles in a row and four Coppa Italia triumphs, they have waited since 1996 for success in Europe. In turn, Ronaldo’s arrival will be seen as the potential catalyst to end that long wait while his impact off the pitch given his global stature will be huge.

For Madrid, they will undoubtedly now have a tough time in replacing his influence and goals, with new coach Julen Lopetegui dealt a huge blow in his bid to sustain the level of success enjoyed by his predecessor Zinedine Zidane.
However, it could also be seen as an opportunity for the Spanish giants as they will look to open up a new cycle by replacing the 33-year-old this summer.
