It is for times like this.. big and small countries alike join alliances so they don't get to fight without help when the time comes.

It has always been like that since the start of modern (even old) warfare so asking and receiving help from your allies is not a weakness like some people erroneously thought when they discovered Russia was getting weapons from iran and boots from N.Korea.

US can never go to war alone nor will it fight its own battles as you put it,if Iran retaliates against the US,France and Britain will descend on them(and most NATO countries)..I guess you didn't know it was mostly the US troops that liberated France from the Nazis and France will be too willing to pay back the favor.

Isreal is very small and so a bruteforce approach from iran will likely hit juicy targets. Israel's defence is also very expensive. Asides these major disadvantages, i see fewer ways Iran can gravely hurt Israel.

I wonder why Israel hasnt figured out a way to take down more of Iran's zigzag missiles. Something like a curtain of drones should do that. A curtain of drones that identifies direction of incoming missile barrages and just rises to form a curtain, then employ bruteforce in reverse to shoot down the missiles. That should be cheaper than iron dome. Even Ukraine needs such too.
