Jodera: This!!!! ....
We need a very good towering different Variety of striker.
We've got Jesus, Trossard, Martinelli (sometimes) and to some extent Nketiah offering almost similar services. Wetin we need Havertz for again.
And if na midfield, that's even the worst !! I will swear for Arteta and Edu because I am not understanding. Is there any secret deal between Chelsea and Arteta? Havertez of all people. |

City didn't just get here overnight. I hope to see us attain this height too.
Toney is similar to Jesus...we need a tall striker If we serious eh, Na Oshimen we suppose break bank for this summer. En no go pass 120m and he is still young. The guy over fit arsenal style of play and will not be hard to even convince. |

Jodera: We need Rice and Caicedo (Two people to take over from Partey and Xhaka)
We also need an different kinda striker (taller one). Vlahovic if possible or Hojlund of Atalanta. So that we can have an option B when going for goal.
We need backup for Saka desperately. I don't trust Nelson and I don't think he can play there.
Saliba deputy if White will play RB. Holding certainly can't play there.
So incoming: 2DMs/CMs, 1striker, 1 Rwf, 1Rcb(at least for summer)
Sell: Holding, Nelson, Viera (for loan),.
All the other loanees should either be re-loaned or sold I will rather sell Nekathia than Balogun. Nekethia is short too, Balogun have some good height but we need an intimidating striker too |

He is also the first Marseille defender to score 6 goals in a single season for 20 years now.
The problem is, how will he fit into this current squad. I think it will make sense to sell him. 30M at least Zinchenko should kuku turn to a midfielder, He will excel more in that Xhaka role and let Tierney come back to the first 11, that bro is better defiensively for me |

Tomi and Tierney would have done that with ease on either flanks better than White and Zinchenko. I feel time has come to rest some players , peeps like Martinelii and White look overwhelmed and jaded, even Odegaard . We should play trossard and Tom next match, bring them in 70mins after. Martinelii is confusing me, he look clueless when taking a player so unlike him, even the connection with Zin and Xhaka I didn't feel it |

Jodera: Palhinha is 27years and it's unfortunate he's of that age cos he would have being my preferred deputy for Partey.
I've been following him this season since their first game against Liverpool and he seems to Impress me in all his matches. I just hope we'll get someone younger and can do almost everything Partey does for smooth transition Omo I watched Chelsea match yesterday because of new signing, I will not judge Enzo yet because he need a good partner but that amount of money for someone who cant really influence match , He look basic honestly. As for Mudrky, He remind me of what they said that every thing is not all about money, Mudrky needed Arsenal , Is not Arsenal that need him. Unless Chelsea change there style of game, it will be hard for that dude to blossom. I ma grateful , Edu did his job the way he did. Nobody should hold us in ransom |

Jencejyde: Honestly let's say Nketiah failed to perform in the absense of Jesus, by now we would be looking to buy a striker and midfielder which only God knows how much we would have to spend.
But credit to that young lad after all the critism he faced to come out and deliver for the team and yet another one who has same opportunity is there whinning. My two concern is , his salary structure and how many years contract was he given. Honestly , I am more angry at Lokonga and Eleny. Especially Eleney , why just why . Spy360: You see, subjective feeling towards someone can cloud judgement. But there's a reason Arteta came and spoke defensively on him. It's the manager that sees what a player is worth.
People don't like Lokonga, but as someone mentioned here, he is just as Xhaka a couple of years back. Constantly played out of position and yet under heavy criticism.
Lokonga when on the ball was brilliant for all I saw on Friday. His errors were mostly when off the ball. These are things that can be learnt and developed with time and chance.
When someone is making such sacrifices and yet come under heavy criticism it's hard to take especially when it's from the leader. I know Xhaka will not do what Odegaard did knowing firsthand himself how it feels.
A child spills his milk and still gets a beating for it. Should he cry for the spilled milk or for the beating? How will you know his reason for crying if you meet him? The person that beat him have spoiled every chance of getting to know. Xhaka came out publicly to accuse his fellow players of not doing enough and don't have fighting spirit last season, bros that is an entire team. Again, I am not one to criticize Lokonga generally but after watching that clip , he was uninterested and that my dear friend cannot be overlooked bro. Let us not be giving he is not loved kor kor kor talk abeg. Shey they should buy cradle till when he want to wake up from slumber. How on earth do you ball watch who is in a dangerous position and be moving back? I was actually watching Danilo for Notheingham Forest doing same thing and I was saying thank God. Now look at it this way, Do you ever think that even him playing a DM position sometimes is do his own good? Omo, we cant baby lokonga forever |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by johnjunior39(m): 2:32pm On Jan 29, 2023 |
Roland17: I don’t think our fellow gooners understand our perspective. They all make great points but are absolutely missing the most important piece. It’s all about debates and I hope we can all learn from it but a person without a good sense of awareness and emotional intelligence is not a leader. So you will use a moment of emotional outburst to judge an individual ? Tell me, Someone here stated about a particular match Saliba exposed his flaws that led to an own goal and this Captain went to cheer him up. I don't even join league of those who criticize Lokonga because I believe he is not a DM but Arsenal of late defend together same way the attack and for crying out loud , he was ball watching when even hassling city players would have made a difference. Dude don't judge persons from afar , human is human. Jesus Christ gave it all out to people who were selling at the synanagoge then, does that make him less of a leader? And no one should even compare Xhaka and Lokonga situation the are not same. I think you and @spy are the ones looking at the whole event from a biased angle. Whether Martin is a good Captain plus another issue entirely but in that scene, bro I can't fault him |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by johnjunior39(m): 1:34pm On Jan 29, 2023 |
Spy360: Like I said before I am not really into how Lokonga should react, rather I am interested in how Odegaard handled the lad. Note I said the lad and not the issue. You cannot beat a child and still show the child how to cry. You see, in leadership you deal with the issues but you handle the individual.
I cited the case of Xhaka too. But we know that if not Arteta's handling, Xhaka won't be here today and we (probably no one) would know how good he can be as we know today.
If every player barks like Odegaard I don't think the team will be as united and strong as they are now. It's a lesson to learn. I also believe that being a good leader himself Odegaard will ensure that the boy is taken care of. Swears bro, I honestly feel like Xhaka didn't see that scene very well, lol. Remember the game against Spurs last year? See forget it, it was irritating to see and I will not fault Odegaard. You cant pamper someone forever now |
