jclassiq: Intelligence should not be confused with academic brilliance. They are two very different things Intelligence means Capacity of mind, especially to understand principles, truths, facts ormeanings, acquire knowledge, and apply it to practice; the ability to learn and comprehend. By the above definition the effective way of accessing if someone is intelligence is academic brilliance |

Is the honor of women in Islam only tied to the hijab on their head and not their ability to close their legs. Yet some group will scream " it dishonors women not to cover their hair, there must be hijab in schools" and every night they go and sleep with hijab covered teenagers.
The hypocrisy of the average Muslim is nauseating. These girls are actually Christian girls |

fykes: This is not stories this one happened to me. If u know uniport teaching hospital....back in 2006, I went there with an uncle to see a specialist for their child who wasn't yet speaking at the time, while they were seeing the specialist, I got bored and wondered off. The morgue is downstairs underground with ramps in place of stairs. I kept going and was hearing loud murmur which got clearer as I descended as if people whlere gathered in discussion and I wanted to peep at them. At the top of the last ramp, I paused as the murmur became louder like the discussion was going on under the ramp except I can't hear what they were talking about neither was their speech audible nor sensible. But I could swear people were gathered there. Out of curiosity I made to show myself and instantly, there was quiet, stillness, then the swing doors started banging open and closing as if people were dashing through it. All these happened within seconds and I was dazed standing there. By the time I got myself...the way I flew up to the doctor's office, a medal would be fitting sugarcoated lie |

Mama food wait no feed back. So she went to the hospital and explain everything that a patient came to bought food without paying, the security was arguing that no one came out.
So the attendant over heard the argument, and asked her if she could recognize the person and she said yes..... So the research was going on from ward to ward, but they could not reach the person.
Madam said she's not leaving without her money.. So they proceed to the morgue.. Lo and behold they found the person, since that day the woman resigned from selling food. what's the name of the woman |

Lordsagna: Before i start my story..I hope to inspire some of the medical students...Or students planning to study medicine and are having issues...
My Story So far.,
After graduating from secondary school.. I couldnt get an admission into my dream school University of Ibadan to study Medicine.. My life felt like it was gonna end.. My world kept shattering.. My family gave me no breathing space..I wasnt free to do any of my fun activities..I was grounded for months and weeks.. Until i had to sit for the next jamb... I sat for the next jamb..and still got no admission...
All thanks to God.. i gained admission into a Caribbean Medical University. To study my dream course medicine... Let me Highlight How Medical school works in the Carribean.. Its a total of 4years.. You spend a yr doing Foundation classes.. (PreMed). And then you spend 2 years doing Basic Science..Where proper medical school begins.... I scaled through every class and every course.. I finished both my foundation and my basic science classes... To start my clinicals in the States..I had to go back to Nigeria to apply for a US visa.. I got B1 visa successfully..and without much stress...thanks to my school
The moment came when my future was to be defined... I was registered for the board exam.. United State Medical Licensing Examination.. Passing this exam was gonna shape my future.. Failing it was gonna crush everything i built from my Nursery School days.. I sat for the exam after spending 4months studying..The first challenge for me was motivation. So Before the exam, I watched all Kaplan Medicine videos (also watched surgery, psych videos, a few important obgyn and peds video). Then I took a baseline NBME where I scored 191.
It showed the videos weren't enough for me to be prepared for my step 1....iI sat for the main exam.. USMLE Step 1.. And i scored 230... I was on the edge.. I thought the score was bad.. till my Dean called me directly..And congratulated me.. YH.I knew my dreams were slowly coming through.. I began my 72 weeks clinical rotations at Jackson Park Hospital Chicago.. I took my step 2 examination after my clinical rotations..And i scored 242..A pretty nice score i was proud of.. After all the reading and late night sleeps.. And constant anti depressant helps.. I got a nice hospital for my residency program..Where the money started popping in cheesy cheesy cheesy grin grin grin ...From there..I knew my life has begun..My dream has come thru.. I went back to my alma mata.. Encouraged students and gave them tips on how to pass the board examinations.. And surely..I would also want to help my fellow nairalanders that are following the same pathway...
Am a state licensed Doctor.I have been practising for 3 years now..Paediatrics Surgery is my specialized field of medicine. The only problem i have is little time... And..i guess am not just ready to build a family till my workload drops a little bit... wink wink wink wink.. And i hope the woman of my life..Walks into my life..anytime soon...hehe.. The only time i have..I spend it on nairaland wink wink..Reading all the possessed threads.. cheesy cheesy cheesy..
If u also need help following dis same pathways..i can always be available for assistance and advices.. ADIÓS
Lesson: Dont give up quickly..And never settle for less..Always aspire for the top.. If i had given up after failing to get admission twice... I would have been studying maybe Agricultural science... (Patients Are calling**** cheesy cheesy cheesy I just hope i inspired someone..

Crime › Singer R.kelly Sentenced To 30years Imprisonment For Sex Abuse by Johnlegacy57(op): 11:59am On Jun 30, 2022 |
US singer R. Kelly has been sentenced to 30
years in prison for using his celebrity status to
sexually abuse children and women.
The R&B artist, 55, was convicted last
September in New York of racketeering and sex
trafficking crimes.
He had faced years of allegations and the judge
on Wednesday said he had an "indifference to
human suffering".
Lawyers for the singer, whose real name is
Robert Sylvester Kelly, say he will appeal.
Ahead of his sentencing, a handful of women
took the stand to confront Kelly.
A woman identified only as Angela called the
singer a Pied Piper who "grew in wickedness"
with every new victim, while others who were
not named testified he had broken their spirits.
"I literally wished I would die because of how
you made me feel," said one.
Dressed in prison khakis and dark glasses, Kelly
declined to make a statement of his own and did
not react as the verdict was handed down.
The history of allegations against R. Kelly
The testimony that convicted R. Kelly
R. Kelly trial: A look at the key moments
US District Judge Ann Donnelly said the celebrity
had used sex as a weapon, forcing his victims to
do unspeakable things and saddling some with
sexually transmitted diseases.
"You taught them that love is enslavement and
violence," she said.
The court heard how Kelly - known for hit songs
like I Believe I Can Fly and Ignition - used his
influence to lure women and children into sexual
abuse over two decades.
Jurors at his six-week trial in Brooklyn heard how
he trafficked women between different US
states, assisted by managers, security guards
and other members of his entourage.
The court also heard how Kelly had illegally
obtained paperwork to marry singer Aaliyah when
she was 15 in 1994, seven years before the
singer died in a plane crash.
The certificate, leaked at the time, listed
Aaliyah's age as 18. The marriage was annulled
months later.
Jovante Cunningham, a former backup singer for
Kelly, said she never believed this day would
come.
"There wasn't a day in my life up until this
moment that I actually believed that the judicial
system would come through for black and brown
girls," she told reporters.
"I stand here very proud of my judicial system,
very proud of my fellow survivors and very
pleased with the outcome."
Watch: R. Kelly survivor makes tearful
statement outside New York court following his
sentencing
Federal prosecutors had recommended that Kelly
be sentenced to more than 25 years in prison,
given the seriousness of his crimes and "the
need to protect the public from further crimes".
But his lawyers called for a sentence of 10 years
- the mandatory minimum for his conviction - or
less.
They portrayed Kelly as growing up poor in a
household rife with domestic violence and
suffering sexual abuse from a young age.
They said he was "devastated" by the sentence
and planned to appeal.
Lizzette Martinez, who met Kelly when she was
17, said that there were "so many things he
could have done to stop himself."
"He had all the resources; we don't have
resources like that. He could have gotten help,"
she told BBC News.
She said he avoided justice for years due to the
"power of celebrity".
"I believe that he was just making so much
money for so many powerful people that they
protected him."
Kelly has been in custody since he was indicted
by federal prosecutors in New York and Chicago
in July 2019.
His three years behind bars have been eventful,
including a beating from a fellow inmate in 2020
and a bout with Covid-19 earlier this year.
The singer faces further legal action in August,
when he goes on trial again, this time in Chicago
on child sex images and obstruction charges.
He is also due to face sex abuse charges in
courts in Illinois and Minnesota.
