Port Harcourt or Calabar could have been the preferred choices for Igbo migration, but these design policies (which are still ongoing) were crafted within a frame work of long term critical infrastructural denial in the SE..eg Obasonjo's government opposition to SE international airport, seaport, roads etc. Political imposition of governors(governance over Igbo lives). That's why, you can shout Biafra, regional governance, State police, exclusive lists, and all would fell on def ears. Maybe the coronavirus and others like it will now let them to rethink, and decongest Lagos and evolve sound policies to transform the country if its not late.

I never here any Yoruba Claiming to come from other part of Southwest if not Lagos like the way Hausa or Igbos claimed on the state they come from. The Lagos they always claim off was developed by British and Nigerian as Formal Capital. Why are they not compared other states in Nigeria with Ekiti, Oyo etc. I never find Hausa claiming and comparing other states with Abuja.
