Sincere9gerian: I hope Tinubu attack dogs read the report fully? The must important thing is that Ribadu and others were not forced to step down. There was no orders FROM ABOVE for certain candidates to step down. There was no preferred candidate by a godfather somewhere. There is no anointed candidate by a certain all powerful godfather. While joining PDP, Ribadu knew he would still have to contest with other heavyweights in a primary election. That is the BEAUTY of democracy and that was what attracted Ribadu to the PDP.please coming again |

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Belgore, has advised that Nigeria should stop being brothers' keeper to some of its African neighbours he described as not being friendly and cooperative with the country on its fight against insurgency. Belgore, a governorship aspirant in Kwara State, gave the advice in a keynote address he delivered in Ilorin at the North Central Town Hall Meeting with the theme: Sensitisation for peace, religion, ethnic tolerance in Nigeria organised by Jonathan Actualisation Movement (JAM). The politician, in the address, alleged that Nigeria, being a leading country in Africa, is envied and hated by some of its sister African countries, including those it supported for independence. He said while leaders of some countries were wrongly criticising Nigeria on its fight against the insurgency, Cameroon allegedly ridiculed the country by claiming that the soldiers fighting the insurgents defected to its (Cameroon) territory. He stated: "There is another dimension to the Boko Haram menace. This has to do with some of our neighbours and other African countries. From time immemorial, Nigeria has been a country envied by many African countries. "Our size, the aggressiveness of our people, our wealth relative to other black Africans, our competence and capabilities and many other characteristics have generally made us to be object of resentment by our so- called brothers. "America is the country the whole world not only envies but also hates. Similarly, Nigerians are the people other Africans envy but also hate. Much as we contributed to the liberation of our African brothers in Zimbabwe and South Africa, they are some of the worst enemies of Nigeria today. "How do you explain the insulting comments about our country by dictators like Mugabe of Zimbabwe or Museveni of Uganda. Some of our immediate neighbours are even worse. Imagine Cameroon trying to ridicule us by saying that our soldiers ran to their country from Nigeria to avoid fighting Boko Haram." Source |
