Business › Re: How I Made Over 400k As An Upwork Freelancer Within 3 Months With Just My Phone! by Johnny32: 3:12pm On May 28, 2021 |
Johnne32: Hello everyone,
My name is John Iwuozor, a 20-year-old graduate of mathematics and tech content writer.
I am about to share with you my story of how I moved from earning 20k monthly as a factory worker to earning close to 500k all within three months this year. It's an interesting story which lots of people find inspiring and motivating including me
So where do I start? Aaah Yes! Last year!
In simple words, Last year was hell for me. Let me explain....Early last year, I was working at a factory, working my ass off from 8-6 and earning a peanut salary of 20k.
But what did I know then? I was this young lad new to working and I believed that I had to start earning very little before moving to higher levels..lol.
Fast forward, Covid happened and we were all asked to go home for some time and await further instructions. Funny thing is that I never got called back.
During my stay at home, I tried to make myself useful by learning web development, participating in a data science internship and writing about chess. This period was not fun at all. I was totally broke to the point that I depended on my parents and siblings for money for data subscription. Some days, I would just cry alone in my room and beg God to give me a job.
And God heard me, How? Just follow me. My big bro in a bid to help my situation purchased a course for me to learn freelancing skills and start making money on the internet.
December, January gat me reading and learning skills in preparation for Upwork. In February, I went for it!
Immediately started getting gigs on Upwork and earning in dollars. My biggest gig was writing a 1,500 word article for $300....yeah, you heard me right....that's like 120k for one article! My parents now see me as a responsible child..lol.
As at now, I have made over $1k from Upwork and I now coach and help people in navigating the platform and getting jobs.
Check the screenshot below;
Don't believe me, you don't have to. Just search my name on Upwork and see the results.
You may ask "Why the story?", the thing is that it pains me when I see lots of talented people complaining and getting underpaid in their jobs when they can be earning much more online.
The truth is that digital skills pay much more than your normal 9-5. Did I even tell you of the freedom you have as a freelancer, you can literally be working on your bed for two days and earn someone else monthly salary.
Skills like copywriting, graphic design, web development, virtual assistants, coding, social media management e.t.c can give you that financial freedom you are seeking. All you need to do is to offer these services on Upwork and get paid in mad $$$.
Freelancing is the new gold and it's here to stay.
If you have questions, feel free to ask. I would do my best to help anyone going through the freelancing path. Wow |

Zabiboy:
Why not learn them sequentially ( one after the other) ??...so while learning the next course, you can take time to practice the one's you are done with... Anyways i'll advice you to learn python as a whole first before going into its data science libraries ( i.e learn both python for web dev. And Data analysis..)...Add Tableau to the list too.. Also, Remove ML from the list till you are grounded in python data science libraries( numpy , pandas and co.).... Finally, save up and get a system to enable you practice alot....DONT JUST LEARN, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE GL
Thanks so much for the info. I guess I have to practice python a lot. However, learning most of them is not really challenging for me unlike practicing them. I noticed that most of what I am learning have things in common. I already have a system for these things so I would appreciate links to download these necessary softwares to practice them |
