This judgement has no effect on the congresses that we’re conducting and it has nothing to do with the primary election that’s coming up on March 7th. We should get that one clear ~ Barr Ashim Akintunde Abioye |
Dissident Group in Osun PDP; When will they wake to the reality ? Firstly, there's no where the Judgement pronounce Wale Ojo as the Osun PDP Chairman or remove Sunday Bisi as the chairman. Secondly, the ' res' of the Judgement had been impeached by the Court of Appeal and as such there's nothing to execute in that Judgement. Or will High Court overrule Court of Appeal? Kikikikiki Thirdly, Adagunodo is the beneficiary of the Judgement that contains nothing to execute and Adagunodo is now South West Zonal Vice Chairman of PDP. Is Adagunodo still laying claim to position of Osun PDP simultaneously? Kikikikikiki kakakakaka On the last PDP Ward Congress in Osun. Conduct of PDP Congress at any structure of the party in the state is within the purview of National Working Committee of the PDP and not the State Chairman. So, how would you be linking the Congress of the party to the State Chairman or state Working Committee. Lastly, political is a voluntary association, all the congresses that took place in osun last year had been passed, ratified and approved by National Convention that produced the present NWC and all the Delegates from Osun voted at that Convention. This has also been settled at last stakeholders meeting of Osun PDP with NWC in Abuja recently. When will dissident group within Osun PDP Stop making themselves happy at where there's no happiness at all? |
Press Statement 16/02/2022 Osun PDP Asks Members To Stand Resolute Against Destabilizing Antics Of APC Agents Says Ile-Ife Court Judgement Has No Effect On Ongoing Congresses. The attention of the the Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has been drawn to a judgement of an Ile-Ife high court on the leadership of the party in the state. The PDP in Osun State wishes to inform our teeming party members that the purported judgement of the Osun State High Court sitting in Ile-Ife has no bearing on the ward Adhoc delegates Congress holding today and tomorrow across the 332 wards in the state. The purported judgement we must emphasize, has nothing to do with the ongoing Ward Adhoc Congress as such exercise remains an exclusive preserve of the national office of our great party. In any case, the legal team of our party adequately took notice of all that transpired in the Ile-Ife High Court in the course of the litigation but as a law abiding political party, the legal team of the party has expeditiously carried out our instructions to appeal the judgement immediately. Therefore, we must note for the sake of emphasis that Congresses as adhoc degates are not conducted by state chapters of the party. The processes for the Congress have since been kick-started by the appropriate authorities of our party and all stakeholders are being carried along for a successful exercise. We are not oblivious of the fact that some elements in the party in the state are adamant in playing the destabilizing cards of Apc in our party despite passionate appeal of the National Working Committee led by the National Chairman, Dr Iyochia Ayu. We wish to enjoin all our party members to remain calm and go ahead with modalities for the Adhoc Delegate Congress as the leadership of our party remains resolute in our determination to rescue Osun State from the mis-rule of APC and their shameless collaborators within our ranks. Signed Prince Bola Ajao State Secretary, Peoples Democratic Party Osun State Chapter.

This case judgement was delivered last year November and National working Committee didn't see it as an obstacle, inspite of.. NWC organized the Congress, the Congress panels without hesitation and National Legal Adviser filled application on that case, So court refusal on application make another move for legal unit to appeal the judgement! Congress still on without delaying! |
Adagunodo and his dissident group failed woefully in forming Parallel congress in Osun State Pdp. He continue to failed woefully on every side. Honourable Sunday Bisi remain indefatigable State Pdp Chairman |

Osun Paid Students N1m To Protest Against NSCDC, Group Alleges A group, Concerned Citizens of Osun, has alleged that the state government gave a sum of N1m to the leadership of the National Association of Osun State Students to protest at the headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Osogbo on Tuesday. The group in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Afeez Olakunle, expressed concern that the state government was dragging students into the internal crisis of the All Progressives Congress in the state. It further alleged that an unnamed aide to Osun state governor worked with NAOSS leadership to stage the protest, insisting that protest against NSCDC was politically motivated. The statement read in part, “It is a shame that NAOSS, a supposed intellectual body of students, could sell itself so cheap to accept a sum of N1m from the state government to protest against the NSCDC in the state. “The question to ask NAOSS leadership is that: why had it remained silent on the series of insecurity occurrences and political violence in the state? Why did NAOSS choose to protest against NSCDC which is doing its job of protecting the lives and property of the people of the state? Why is it that it was a government official, SSA, that was mobilising media for the NAOSS protest?” When contacted, NAOS President, Moshood Yusuf, challenged the group to bring out proof that he collected money to mobilise students for the protest, adding that he witnessed the alleged shooting by NSCDC operatives on Monday. Fayemi, Fashola, Aregbesola All Cannot Be Wrong About Tinubu - Ex-Chairman Electricity Regulatory Board Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Board, Prof Sam Amadi has said that former Governor of Lagos State must watch whatever he does that make all his associates part ways with him. Amadi, while commenting on a social media post on Tuesday said that all those who had parted ways with Tinubu could not all be wrong. The latest of Tinubu’s loyalist who has opened up against the former Governor is Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola. We Have Reclaimed Our Party - Aregbesola …Endorses Adeoti As Next Osun Gov. The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Monday, declared that the former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, is the next governor of the state. This is as he said the party is back in the hands of true progressives who will work assiduously to win in the July 16 governorship election. Aregbesola added that the present administration in Osun has deviated solely from the true tenets of the All Progressives Congress APC, while those at the helms of affairs have also jettisoned true democracy and the principles which the party and its heroes stands for. He urged party faithfuls and stakeholders not to be disturbed but work in unison for the success of Adeoti in Saturday's governorship primaries of the APC. The former governor of the State of Osun stated this in Ijebu Ijesa on Monday while addressing party faithfuls and stakeholders in the state ahead of the party's primaries. He also noted that the Rasaq Salinsile led party executives is the authentic APC in Osun. Aregbesola said: "Anyone who was with us when we started the journey to reclaim Osun for the progressives in 2004 would know we fought very hard for this victory we have today. We went through several challenges then but through thick and thin, we were able to succeed. This time around, we will succeed. "We are ready to allow a free flow of democratic process to interplay here. We are not those who play God. We are resolute about reclaiming our party from those who think they can continue to abuse our legacies or even want us to be second fiddles in the party we worked and laboured for. This is our pride and we will sustain it. "Let me tell you that God is with us. I urge all of our supporters to come all out and back us. Do not have any fears. We are the authentic APC in Osun. If in Lagos, the governor did not do well and the party decided not to return him for a second term, why can't it be so in Osun? They know what they have done to us is bad and they want to continue the impunity. We will not accept it. "Do not be disturbed by their threats. Come out en-masse and vote for our aspirant. In Shaa Allah, Adeoti is the next governor of Osun. We should all support him." In his remarks, the leading governorship aspirant of the APC in Osun, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti expressed his gratitude to the party for the support. He promised not to disappoint the party and ensure that the legacies of the progressive government from November 27, 2010 to November 27, 2018 is sustained and built on for the progress of the State of Osun. Also at the event were the Chairman of the Party in the State, Alh. Razaq Salinsile; Former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam; Chairman of The Osun Progressives (TOP), Rev’d Lowo Adebiyi, Ward, Local Government and State Excos who emerged at the last congress of the party, and other party members who came to show solidarity. Aregbesola Escapes Death In Osogbo After Endorsing Adeoti As Next Osun Governor Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, was on Monday, attacked by some suspected thugs who attacked his convoy during a road show he conducted in Osogbo, capital of Osun State. The gun-wielding hoodlums, suspected to be political thugs, waylaid his convoy and started shooting in a bid to scare away the former governor of the state and members of his entourage. The Point’s correspondent had walked into the convoy of Aregbesola at Orita-Gbaemu area of Osogbo around 5:30pm and sighted the Minister standing on his open roof vehicle and waiving at large crowd of residents who were hailing and jubilating at seeing their former governor. Aregbesola continued his demonstration amid singing by his followers. Some were screaming “Sheu” as others were waiving brooms. The road show pulled so much crowd that there was traffic snarl along the Gbaemu-Idi-Seke road. But pandemonium broke when Aregbesola got to Orisunbare market, close to Old-Garage when sounds of gunshots rented the air. Jubilant residents who were following Aregbesola scampered for safety to escape being hit by stray bullet. A team of combined security operatives from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service and Department of State Security, who were among Aregbesola’s convoy, stepped down from the vehicles and started shooting in a bid to scare away the armed thugs. For about twenty minutes, Old Garage Area was thrown into panic as traders and road users ran helter-skelter as a result of resounding gunshots from the thugs and security operatives. Amid this melee, Aregbesola was still standing on his open roof car, apparently unperturbed. The security personnel were able to overpower the suspected thugs who later fled before the Minister’s convoy had its way through the Dugbe/Igbona Area of the state capital. Aregbesola suffered the attack few hours after he openly declared that the former Secretary to the State Government, Moshood Adeoti, is the next governor of the state. A statement signed and issued by Sola Fasure, the Media Adviser to the Minister and made available to news men in Osogbo, quoted Aregbesola as saying that “the party is back in the hands of true progressives who will work assiduously to win in the July 16 governorship election.” Aregbesola added that the present administration in Osun has deviated solely from the true tenets of the All Progressives Congress APC, while those at the helms of affairs have also jettisoned true democracy and the principles which the party and its heroes stands for.
