He says they need that oil and killing the XL Pipeline stops all that nasty oil from being refined and put into our polluting combustion engine cars here. The price at the pump will go up high enough that people will eventually turn to electric cars because he created the shortage that caused the demand to exceed supply. When gas prices get high enough, electric cars will be our only option, though they will still be back breaking expensive too. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday said he was “disappointed” in President Biden’s pledge to revoke a permit for the controversial Keystone XL pipeline — as the company behind it said work on the project was being suspended.

In a statement issued following Biden’s inauguration, Trudeau said he “spoke directly” to Biden about the $8 billion project in November, and other Canadian officials “made the case” in favor of it “to high-level officials in the incoming administration.”

“While we welcome the President’s commitment to fight climate change, we are disappointed but acknowledge the President’s decision to fulfill his election campaign promise on Keystone XL,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau noted that “Canada is the single-largest supplier of energy to the United States, contributing to U. S. energy security and economic competitiveness, and supporting thousands of jobs on both sides of the border.”

“Workers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and across Canada will always have our support,” he added.

address climate change, including signing a
document that allows the United States to
rejoin the Paris Climate Accord within 30
days. He released a statement that said he
will “hereby accept the [Paris] Agreement and
every article and clause thereof on behalf of
the United States of America.”
