In a statement issued following Biden’s inauguration, Trudeau said he “spoke directly” to Biden about the $8 billion project in November, and other Canadian officials “made the case” in favor of it “to high-level officials in the incoming administration.” “While we welcome the President’s commitment to fight climate change, we are disappointed but acknowledge the President’s decision to fulfill his election campaign promise on Keystone XL,” Trudeau said. Biden would just as soon you sell your oil to China. He says they need that oil and killing the XL Pipeline stops all that nasty oil from being refined and put into our polluting combustion engine cars here. The price at the pump will go up high enough that people will eventually turn to electric cars because he created the shortage that caused the demand to exceed supply. When gas prices get high enough, electric cars will be our only option, though they will still be back breaking expensive too. I hear people screaming that we will have to import oil from the Arab countries. He will not allow that oil in either. He is shutting off the oil spigot. He is a democrat. The disadvantages of that project outweighs the advantages, I think you should take your time to study first the reasons why the project should be discontinued. Their are concerns that it would destroy the ecosystem,pollute the environment and nearby rivers, biden plans to create well paying jobs through Clean energy sources. 2 Likes |
