I reported a case yesterday to Nigeria police at Ayeso police Station, Ilesa, Osun State. It is a fraud case and the culprit is one of the notorious criminal in the society based on my personal research. He defraud me of #80,000, five days ago that was when everything started, he introduced a land to me which i was interested to buy one and half plot from him, which is totally estimated to #142500.. He took me to the land with his fake surveyor and fake land agent in order to fraud me, I deposited 70,000 for the land... When i realised it is a fraud, i called him to know that i know he was trying to fraud me, then he confessed and started begging me not to expose him to public, i saved the voice call as an evidence to file against him but unfortunately the police are not acting so well on this case.

Popular singer, Akon has observed that Psquare, Wizkid and Davido are richer than most American hip-hop artistes.

He made this known in a viral video while speaking at a summit for youths.

Akon revealed that the glamorous lifestyle seen in most American hip-hop videos were actually fake, adding that such music videos which show foreign musicians living large lifestyle with Bentley is actually the opposite of reality compared to African artistes.

According to him, Wizkid, Psquare, and Davido are richer than most American rappers in reality.

Akon said: “Hip-hop in America, every rapper is rich with Gold chains, girls by the pool in big mansion but when the video is over they get on a phone and call a uber.

“But if you go to Nigeria you have Wizkid, Davido, P-square driving Bentley, Mercedes Benz they actually own those cars. That’s the difference but if we don’t translate that, they would never know.

“The images they show about Africa are so negative. It’s conditioning what we believe. Africa has a rich story too. More people died in Chicago, more school shootings in America.”

sentencing those accused of internet fraud to prison is not the best solution to curbing their rampage in Nigeria. my observations as an undergraduate was that ; 3 out of every 10 male undergraduate and unemployed graduates are into internet fraud and 4 out of every 10 undergraduate across higher institution in the SS, SE and SW are aware of of every techniques and softwares, apps employed to defraud a foreigner online. if the EFCC should continue jailing everyone caught in internet fraud I'm sure vast majority of our youths will become an exconvict soon, which may bring enormous shame to this country. imagine a situation where about 1000,000 agile youths and nation builder between the age of 19-29 are were all exconvict. The government should look into the causes of internet crime and how it can possibly be curb, they should introduce a course in both elementary and higher institution of learning to change an average Nigerian ideology, mentality about yahoo yahoo as a surest means of making it in life, Gov should create more jobs، empower the youth and create enabling environment where business can thrive.

Soldiers have been deployed to quench a riot and restore normalcy in Ilesa, Osun State as youth protested against the continuous blackout in the community.

The Ilesa town was in confusion as the protest turned violent and the protesters attacked innocent people, including journalists.
The protesters seized the working tools of reporters and damaged their gadgets as they molested the newsmen, who attempted to cover the protest.

Daily Trust learnt that the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDDC) refused to supply electricity to Ilesa community because some youths assaulted some of its staff.
At the time of filing this report, Soldiers have been deployed in Ilesa as the situation seemed to have gone beyond the control of men of the Nigerian Police Force.
