When I was trying to buy a condo in Austin in 2005 it was really difficult. It was my first apartment and I was so paranoid about interest rates that different banks were offering yet I didn't want to pay extra money for broker so I made all the calculations myself. I had a good credit history so a bank manager offered me a 10-years fixed mortgage rate of 1.8%. But then after 2008 crisis the rate went up to 2.15% and my income decreased so it was hard to make payments. Fortunately, my wife helped me to change the mortgage loan rate and we paid it off within 7 years. Now we want to move to the UK and buy a house somewhere in England and I'm gonna hire a mortgage advisor for sure. I already sniffed around online and found some companies, like Mortgage Advice Derby. Sure their help will be useful.
