2020Experience: This guys have low self esteem. People are living in the presence and you are living in the past. You have all these you claimed yet your people are still living in poverty. What happened that you guys never turned your region to London all this while? How come the Igbos overtook you people despite all the losses they suffered during war since you people were the richest from the beginning? Stop bringing up all these fake documents here because they won’t help you progress unless you are doing it for your divisional intentions. We're living in the past but your people can't stop bitching about a war that happened years ago and how Awolowo suffered them by just giving them £20. Lmao the facts and figures pain and trigger you cus it debunks all the lies told you by your parents.....and last time I checked where the fvck have you subhumans over taked the yoruba's? Same old BS you dolts use to decieve your pathetic selves. They aren't fake, we don't deal in falsehood and hearsay, we aren't ipob or Nnamdi Cownu. The data shows you lots were poor before the war and poorer after the war, Awolowo helped you back on your feet by giving your forefathers a year's income. Still till today your region remains a hellhole and the only hope for an nyamiri is to come to lagos to "make it", our region may not be London but we aren't running to the desolate waste land called the south east. The people with victim and inferiority complex are obviously you flatin0s. #cope and stop getting triggered by the facts. |

Politics › New York Times Article About Nigeria In 1964. by JohnSin97(op): 11:19pm On Jun 02, 2021 |
Below are the quotes from the Times newspaper:
The conservative North, 75 percent Muslim and containing about half of Nigeria's population, is governed by the Northern people's congress. The premier is Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, who carries the title of Saraduana of Sokoto.
In the East, where the intelligent, energetic Ibo tribes predominates the controlling party is the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons, headed by one of the most dazzling of Nigerian politicians, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, premier of the Eastern region, who is known throughout the country as Zik.
In the somewhat more developed west, which is Yoruba Country, the government is run quite well, it is said by Chief Awolowo, an able politician, and his Action group. The West points with pride to its universal free primary education, free medical treatment for children up to 18years of age, agricultural planning and other social programs of which no other Nigerian region can boast of.
On the Hatred of the Yorubas by Azikwe and Balewa: The Federal government whose prime minister is Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, a muslim notable from the north, is managed by a coalition of the Northern people congress and National council of the Nigeria and the Cameroonians led by Azikiwe, two parties that have very little in common except mutual dislike of the third (Awolowo).

LegendHero: I was telling a guy that the bank branches we have in Nigeria as at 1960-1966 is too small for all those shouting they have 20pounds in the bank but he thought I was saying nonsense.
Upon that, Ojuku looted all those savings in the Eastern central banks while the people moving from the other part of Nigeria gave him their monies to convert to Biafra pounds.
I will not forgive Awo for initiating the 20pound scheme. What is his problem self, shey na him be commander in chief ni. Even with what he did, the descendant of Ojuku still hated him in death. Most people hate this truth. |

EasternActivist: What do not reading have to do with comprehension...
Do you really comprehend the original post Your region had fewer banks but a higher population compared to the south west meaning that most igbos were too poor to have bank accounts. The average yearly income of igbos before the civil war was less than £25. The majority of your people exchanged their pounds for biafran currency at the unset of the war. Biafra lost the war and your biafran pounds became worthless. Meaning current value of igbos at the end of the war= 0 Awolowo pitied your forefathers and handed them £20(a year's income for majority igbo families) for losing a war. Where in history are people rewarded for loosing a war? Only in awolowo's Nigeria. I actually blame awo, left to most northerners you guys would have been left with your balls in your hands and not £20 |

EasternActivist: Average income of all the population or average income of those that has savings in the banks!?!
Using Nigeria population as a case study what will the average income amount to!?
Then how does that justify 20 pounds paid to igbos that have huge savings > 20 pounds in the bank!?! Kindly read the article....is comprehension difficult for you guys. |

Is there any official statement by any OFFICIAL igbo leaders insulting the Yorubas ? If there's any please provide the link.
As far I can remember some miscreants from the two tribes have been insulting themselves since God Knows when. We have a lot of them in this forum and other social media.
On a larger scale the igbos have Nnamdi kalu and his supporters WHILE the Yorubas have their own in the person of Adekunle Godson and his supporters. So please don't make it seem as if na only igbos the do the insulting....
Both the igbos and the Yorubas are a big disappointment to the remaining southern tribes. You guys where supposed to be our backbone but no unna allow divide and rule mentality and petite things separate una. Adeyinka grandason doesn't have the following that mnk has, lots of igbos support the mnk and insultive attitude towards Yoruba's..... you're trying to be deceptive by making such comparisms. |
