Notice that none of the above accounts makes mention of Jesus Christ coming in the glory of His Kingdom, nor angels surrounding Him, etc.

Now compare all of the above with Jesus Christ's own description of the events to take place when He comes back in the glory of the Kingdom of God.
Note the vast difference between this image here and that painted in all 3 accounts of the transfiguration.

There is no mention of the Kingdom, nor of the angels , in any of the Gospel accounts of the transfiguration, so it logically follows that the transfiguration wasn't what Jesus Christ meant when He said some would see Him coming in the glory of His Kingdom before their deaths.

Jesus appearing in His glorified body is appearing in His Kingdom, Jesus even said while in the flesh that His Kingdom has come upon you

Why Two Prophecies of Jesus Were Unfulfilled - 1.

"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, THERE BE SOME STANDING HERE, WHICH SHALL NOT TASTE OF DEATH, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."(Matthew 16:27-28).

Our Lord Jesus gave two prophecies that were unfulfilled with regards to the time frame they were supposed to happen. First of all, it's important to note here that our Lord Jesus didn't operate as God on earth even though he is fully God in human flesh. He functioned as man on earth. This was why he had to be anointed by the Holy Spirit to carry out his ministry.

So, as man, he didn't know all things. The prophecy he gave as contained in the opening text was with clarity of terms. He said that some of his audience standing with him will not taste death till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Jesus is yet to come as foretold but that generation are long dead. Now, the question is, why wasn't it fulfilled as spoken?

Mat 16:27  For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds. 
Mat 16:28  Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming(erchomai) in His kingdom. 

it seems that "erchomai" is better translated "appear" in verse 28

in verse 27 Jesus is speaking of comimg/appearing with His angels to repay every man for his deeds
in verse 28 Jesus is speaking of some standing there not tasting death until they see Jesus appear in His Kingdom

and six day's later some standing there did see Jesus appear in his Kingdom, with Moses and Elijah:

Mat 17:1  Six days later Jesus *took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and *led them up on a high mountain by themselves.

What is the bone of contention here is that JWs teach Jesus was not resurrected with the Physical body but only with spirit body. They believe his physical body evaporated. Remember, Thomas said to the disciples that until he himself touches the body of Jesus will he believe he has been Resurrected. My question is Why did Jesus bother to try to convince Thomas with his hands and feet still having the holes of nails used to crucify him? Why did Jesus then say he is not a Spirit?
