You are basing your assumption on the fact that they will need one person per position. That is not likely.

It's either they picked 7 or 31 people. If they called only 7 people, that is an odd of 1 out of 30. The chances of meeting 2 people that were picked will have to involve a population of at least 60 people. He is a lucky one, I guess.
