TravelRe: QATAR And UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES PART 2 by johnzon: 9:53am On Oct 12, 2016
Just a head up for everyone. I think some Nigerian are causing problem by tarnishing the image of the country in UAE, I just hope one day Nigerians will not be totally banned from entering all countries.

According to different sources I contacted including VFS, hotels and some approved processing centers, I have been informed that there is now a stringent verification in place for Nigerian nationals, I was told the new rules were presented to them on Monday. Many of them suggested I don't waste my application fee at this time because they can't guarantee that my application as a Nigerian will be accepted.

Don't know why some cursed Nigerians always find it difficult to represent us well when they go to another country, they prefer to cause problem for the other honest and genuine Nigerian tourist/visitors. angry

I can't stand getting embarrassed in UAE just because of vacation. I'm trying another country for my vacation.

PS: If you are reading this and you are already heading to UAE, please represent us in a positive way. Be responsible, trustworthy, honest and hard working. Always remember that if you represent us in a positive way, you are helping to build the reputation of all Nigerians all over the world.

Validity of the visa is 14 days meaning you have to enter Dubai before the 14th day elapses from the date the visa was issued and once you enter Dubai you have 14 days duration of stay, so from the date your visa was issued if you don't enter Dubai within 14 days it will expire
Feel like hugging and kissing you right now grin kiss. You are the best.

THANK YOU!

I'm confused, please I need assistance. On the VFS Global website (dubaivisa.net), they said the 14 day visa starts counting from the date of issue.

Since I don't know the exact date the visa will be issued and I have to submit a confirmed Emirate ticket, what date (departure date) should then be on the emirate ticket so as to avoid wasting ticket money?

OR is it when I enter UAE that the 14 days starts counting?

A paid airline ticket is not attached to your visa application, but what happens if your visa is not approved and you had already paid for airline ticket? You now see why it is advice able to get your visa first before paying for a ticket, except of course if you are 100% sure you will get the visa

On another note if you are applying through emirates airlines you need to attach your fully paid Emirates airline ticket
Thanks for that. I'm applying through VFS Global and one of the requirement is that "Emirates Airline confirmed ticket" be included with the application. Guess I have no other choice.

I'll be applying for a 14 day UAE tourist visa. When applying for other countries visa, heard that one shouldn't pay for ticket until visa is granted.

Must a paid airline ticket be included with the application for UAE visa?

Please advise.
Please gurus shed some light on my question.

Thank you.

TravelRe: Brutalized, Humiliated And Dehumanized: A Day At The Passport Office In Abeokuta by johnzon: 2:48am On Apr 24, 2016
Those corrupt immigration officers are now getting the attention they needed. I have heard countless of complaint concerning corruption and bribery going on across immigration offices across the country. They make it difficult for you to successfully use the proper channel to apply for passport, they delay and make you pay bribe.

The Abeokuta immigration office is worse and I hope concerned authorities are listening, officers at that branch should be dealt with and use as example to warn others.

I can't say as of the period I was there which was a few years back, they were not, but you can find out from your bank, wishing you all the best
Hi,

Is it true that one needs an invitation letter to visit Hong Kong when applying for a visit visa?

Great but you need to provide more information:

1. What did you study in the University?
2. Is there a reason why you don't want to study Medicine here in Nigeria?
3. Do you already have a country in mind, is it United States, Canada or United Kingdom?

guess they are doing that for cross checking.you can try and see the manager in your area and see reasons why they keep demanding for documents.
iykepromotions:
Very right bro. op they really want to know who you are.
Thank you @bedfordng and @iykepromotions

I have been with them for years and yet they still want to know who I am? I find that to be strange.

I will try and see the manager as you advised and if they are not willing to work with me, it's their problem. I will just move to another bank.
BusinessGTB Account Issue by johnzon(op):
I have a domiciliary account with GTB but ever since I started receiving $, they have been causing problem for me. They kept requesting me to provide them with one document or another. Later after about 4 months they said the document I have been sending is not enough for them.

I wonder what their problem really is. It's very sad that I have to keep manually monitoring account just because I'm receiving a transfer.

I'm tired of all this problem and planning on moving away from their bank. If you have experience concerning issues like this please kindly advise.

Thank you all.
