The error continues:

but 0755 is the permission on 'upload' folder in the public_html

Looking at the code again, the code is very much alright. . . .

step 1: follow nitation's advice, hopefully that should work, or else

step 2: change the line
if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploadedfile']['tmp_name'], $target))
to
if(copy($_FILES['uploadedfile']['tmp_name'], $target))

that is because some servers will not give you right to move a temp file, and will auto delete it followin end of session

The error changed to this when I tried to upload a file name 'Brief296.pdf':

I am glad to tell you that the code works out well but each button message replaces the previous message. Can't there be a way by which each click will add to the previous button click message instead of replacing it, outright. E.g If I click Bold button in nairaland compose area, instead of it to replace the former text it will (code)add to it.

Nairalanders, does anyone know the code to insert/echo tags in a textarea by just clicking specific buttons. E.g To echo <b></b> in a text area if I click Bold button.

My Grandmother was sick for over 3 months now from what we thought was Emroid but was later diagnosed to be cancer of the anus (Rectal) after admitted in hospital for like 3 weeks.

The doctors said they would not want to perform surgery on her as it will be very difficult to stop bleeding in theatre for a cancerous patient. They later referred her to Oncology unit, UCH Ibadan where they will likely place her on drugs.

I think there could be Alternative method (the use of plants and foods) of treating cancer which will surpass drugs (conventional method) as she had 'swallowed' too much drugs.

I have been cracking my brain on the php5 code that send html email, please help!

It is not that I don't know the code but since my hosting company refreshed to upgrade there server, the code that has formally been sending the email has not been working. I wrote my hosting company admin but they replied that all the functionalities of the server is okay.
I have also searched through the Internet to see if I could get some latest code but they are not working likewise.

I have been experiencing problem with my PC sound system as the sound could not come up. The Volume tab under the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties window in the Control Panel is not active.

The C-Media AC97 Audio Device in the Hardware tab under the same Sounds and Audio Devices Properties window says 'The device cannot start (Code 10)' in the Device status.

I have tried series of method to Roll Back and Update the C-Media driver in the Driver tab in C-Media AC97 Device Properties window while connecting to the internet but the Code 10 would not go and the sound would not work.

I have also tried downloading related drivers and installing them on the PC but the problem persists.

Somebody help as I have solved related problems but this one is STUBBORN

I just replace the

$target = "uploads/";

with

$target =$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/uploads/';

and it now WORKING

kazey the permission to the folder is 'rwxrwxrwx' and it is not displaying error message for me to track the code line error only that it is echoing the else statement of not uploading the uploadedfile.

The current web host support PHP 4.X and PHP 5.X (where 'X' could be any digit) while the former web host support PHP 4.X or older version.
I have used series of upload code versions which I tested to be found working on my Local Server (PHP Version 5.0.4) but could not work on my Web Server.
Here attached is the web file that I'm currently using which is expected to process my upload file.

The PHP upload codes I used on my website was working well on the former server of my web host company but is not working on the new server the host company now transfered to. All my effort in trying series of latest codes proofed abortive- Somebody please help!
