Accord definitely didn't pay more money. APC paid in batches, that's those who didn't 'chop' the money o. APC paid 50k per voter in Ede and some other places. Minimum was 20k. People collected their money and still voted who they wanted.

I love how they were so happy while singing this.

The era of money-politics is definitely coming to an end.

Today's interview of Peter Obi in Sunday Politics with Seun Okinbaloye was explosive.

It was so tensed tat I felt the interview was aborted and I suspect the APC folks were responsible for that.
Share your view and let's hear your take on it.
It's obvious Obi is the favoured and chosen one.
Nigeria will be OK!!

I am huge fan of Samsung and iPhones as I am currently using both devices. But below are the features of Samsung that iPhone doesn't have.

1. Samsung phones (higher Samsung models such as S10 and above) can charger other phones including iPhones. (Place the Samsung phone at the back of the device u want to charge).

2. Samsung phones (higher models) can take screenshots without holding the power and volume button (swipe your hand on the screen the screenshot takes by itself)

3. You can use type c to type c charger to charge any phone using Samsung phone (just plug the type c to the phone and plug the other type c end to your Samsung phone).

4. Samsung phones have voice commands known as Bixby. iPhones has it own known as "Siri"

5. For those who uses Samsung devices like S10 etc with side fingerprint sensors (you can control the device using just the fingerprint)

iPhones are great too, but I personally think Samsung has more features than iPhone.

Samsung has officially raised the stakes in the smartphone industry with the launch of three new foldable devices: the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8.

The unveiling took place during the company’s Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, where Samsung showcased what it described as its most advanced foldable smartphones yet. The new devices come with slimmer designs, stronger performance and a heavy focus on artificial intelligence.

For Nigerian smartphone users, the launch signals another major step in the evolution of premium mobile technology.

Fold8 Ultra headlines the new lineup
The biggest attraction at the event was the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Samsung’s first Ultra-branded foldable smartphone.

The company says the device is designed for users who want the power of a tablet and the convenience of a smartphone in one device. It features a larger display, premium cameras, improved battery life and advanced AI tools aimed at boosting productivity.

Samsung is positioning the Fold8 Ultra as its most powerful foldable device to date.

Fold8 gets a slimmer and lighter design
Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8, which arrives with a thinner body and a more practical outer screen.

The company says users can expect a better everyday experience thanks to improved ergonomics and a more comfortable design.

The device retains its multitasking capabilities, allowing users to run multiple apps simultaneously on the large foldable display.

Flip8 receives major upgrades
The Galaxy Z Flip8 was also refreshed with several new features.

Samsung improved the cover screen experience, allowing users to perform more tasks without opening the device.

The company also introduced new AI-powered tools that make messaging, photography and content creation easier.

The Flip8 remains targeted at users who want a compact smartphone without sacrificing flagship-level performance.

AI becomes the star of the show
Artificial intelligence was one of the biggest themes throughout Samsung’s presentation.

The new Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 all feature enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities designed to help users write messages, edit photos, summarise content and perform everyday tasks more efficiently.

Samsung believes AI will become a key selling point for future smartphones, and the company appears determined to lead that transition.

What it means for Nigerians
Although Samsung has yet to announce official Nigerian pricing, the devices are expected to arrive in key markets over the coming months.

For Nigerian consumers, the biggest consideration will likely be affordability, especially as premium foldable smartphones often carry high price tags.

However, the launch also highlights how quickly smartphone technology is evolving, with foldable devices gradually moving from niche gadgets to mainstream products.

Why it matters
Samsung remains one of the most popular smartphone brands in Nigeria, and every major Galaxy launch attracts significant attention.

With the Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8, the company is betting that slimmer designs, smarter AI features and improved durability will convince more people to embrace foldable technology.

Whether Nigerian consumers are ready to make that switch remains to be seen, but Samsung has made one thing clear: foldable phones are no longer the future—they are the present.
