ASUU didn't reject the money rather, they disassociated themselves from the fund raising. The #50m in question was brought by the governor of Akwa-ibom as his contribution to the intervention. ASUU president and his Vice happens to be in the studio to brief Nigerians on the state of ASUU strike. No money was offered to them. The account was suspended. Ordinary president will get back to Nigerians on Monday or Tuesday as to whether to continue raising the funds or not. My opinion: the media should stop glorifying headlines. 3 Likes |
