Hey dude . what do you want to know .. Lagos is a bustling city, it's an economic nerve centre, no doubt .. but why would over 21 million people be cramped in a space barely 2/3 that of london? Accra is much livable than Lagos, no doubt ..

the varied incidence of poverty is a reflection of the varied exchange rates in Nigeria .. depending on the exchange rate considered, a certain level of poverty is arrived at ..

Now consider this .. the minimum wage in Nigeria is N18,000 .. from this figure, what's the daily wage in USD? do the calculation and compare to the poverty line $1.9 or working poor $3.1 .. let's know the exchange rate you'll use for this .

But think about this, about 97million people in Nigeria(more than 50% of the population) are active subscribers and internet users. Only to come here to beg? Even our core Northerners would feed many of these people, and yet you put them above us? Lol. The person who made that chart must be high on some strange weed.

Your link looks at GDP per capita (PPP) .. the other chart depicts incidence of poverty; thus the percentage of people living in poverty .. the two measures are not same

My friend America is world power today basically because of GDP. The world considers Nigeria, southafrica and Egypt basically because of GDP. One of my parkistani friend some time ago was about to find about Nigeria after meeting me, the first thing he searched for on google was GDP. Your wealth should reflect in your GDP and GDP per capita. The best student is not the best because they know him as the best in usual classwork and quiz, the best student is usually known as the best due to his cgpa.

i need you to find out the GDP measure from that national government statistics . there should be a unit in charge of that. i know that of Ghana,

the last time i provided a link confirming the 90 trillion naira GDP by Osinbajo .. in that report, he stated that a budget of 7 trillion naira is not adequate for a 90 trillion naira economy .. we all know the budget passed yesterday was a little above 7 trillion naira .. what's the dollar value of this budget and that of the 90 trillion naira GDP ..

first find out the institution responsible for measuring the GDP and know their most recent GDP figures. we can have some discussions on that.

i was just challenging you to come up with facts from credible sources. That's why i kept asking about your GDP in Naira, how it is measured and the institution in charge of that.

Most of the folks i engaged while in Lagos demonstrated some level of ignorance which was surprising, giving their level of education. you'll find that same ignorance being exhibited in the discussions that go on here. i'll assume people intentionally distort the facts just to tease each other and joke around the topic of discussion .... Insightful discussions are becoming rare on this platform.

Nigeria GDP was 569bn as at 2015 and now its 486bn convert it to naira ,and that's how much Nigeria's GDP is.

that's more like it, your currency doesn't reflect the real value on the market .. just get your GDP as measured in Naira for 2015, then the exchange rate was around N197. Given your economy was in recession for 2016, maintain the GDP for 2015 and adjust it for the exchange rate for 2016 (since you guys have like 5 different exchange rates, you can choose the most favourably). the figure you'll get should be around $300 billion. that's more like it and not different from the figure reported here http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-37045276 .. your GDP figure is kind of cooked beans ..
