EmmanuelD1st:
I know a successful trader with a 30% win rate... The professional trader would advise below 2% (this advice is mostly for newbies or wannabe traders) because blowing up your equity would be difficult, that way the new trader will try out systems that could work, control emotions, instill patience, discipline etc in trading [it will take close to a hundred trade without a win (which is practically impossible)to blow up an account on a 2% risk]. About 20% profitable system not being a system; Sir, I have a system which is 20% profitable, it has a RRR of 1:6, risk/trade 1%. Sir, I presume you are an experienced trader, do the math, it's a profitable system. That was what I always do during my early days of trading , but these days I control my risk myself , I dont need some so called self acclaimed professional trader who probably only teaches on youtube and yet doesnt trade at all to advice me what or what not to risk The idea is that once you get to a stage in trading of knowing what you r doing ,then you are in control |

EmmanuelD1st: I wouldn't say risking more than 2% equity is greed. I would say risking x% of equity depends on the profitability of your trading system...for example; Risking 2% of equity on a 20% profitable system with a RRR of 1:2 is suicidal, in fact you'll surely fail even if u risk 0.00001% of equity on that type of system (I would't advise you to stick with such system). Why on earth will I risk 1% on a 80% profitable system, just why? When I know I can comfortably be risking 5% on a trade with little draw down. So sir, risking a particular % on a trade should depend on your trading system (my opinion). Fact |

Moneyyy: Greed is when you risk more than necessary, and for me I'd say when you risk more than 2% of your equity. It's not necessarily about the number of pips you risk. And yes when I lose I walk away with a smile, I don't try to chase it like a newbie. And yes such discipline comes with years of experience. It's not about whether you lose or win today or this week, it's about being profitable in the long run so losing money today or even for several weeks means nothing to seasoned traders. Like I always say, it's a marathon and not a sprint and the earlier you approach trading with that mentality the better. Thanks for the updated definition |
Business › Re: Forex Trading Alerts - Season 16 by jorel1(m): 10:41am On Jan 09, 2016 |
Moneyyy: Word! That's why I'm never greedy and more than happy to make my 20pips and walk away. I'm of the opinion that no one and no system can accurately predict the long term or even midterm move of the market; it's much easier to predict the very short term move of the market and that's exactly what I explore. Greed is a relative term. Going by your meaning of greed , If i trade for only 5 pips everyday then I guess I would term you 20 pips trader as greedy . You see we tend to misuse the actual meaning of the word GREED in trading. However, what happens when you make your 20 pips lose twice consecutively? Will you walk away?? Or still be contended with 20 pips gain in next trade?? |

Newton's First Law states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force. It may be seen as a statement about inertia, that objects will remain in their state of motion unless a force acts to change the motion."
This law is equally applied in the market , an object { sellers } would keep moving until they meet an external force { buyers } |

You better respect yourself and stop quoting me if you don't have any meaningful thing to write or, do you think that we are here for child's play? Enough of this your busy-body and stupidity. I lick pussy in free time and when i need quick money except during trading hours .. And my pussy licking business was badly affected by GEJs supposedly masked humble and honest behavior. I hope now am able to convince you , how your comment relates to my pussy licking business. However, Its a pity I refuse to open some fake account related to pips to gain some reputation and I won't. Since you are one of those douche who tends to run a profile background check when someone offends you , probably due to personal low self esteem (while you running a double or triple profile )to compare level of stupidity with yours , well sorry you hit the wrong one this time. But the turn up to this years FTA THREAD is less than 60% of last year Imagine we have pages less than 400 for the whole year. Its like many of us oldies left the business of forex to other source of livelihood.
Still optimistic of 2016 Its not about the livelyhood ,rather its about the passion when you see forex as some kind of bussiness ,hmmmmm success rate tends to diminish but when you develop a passion for it as a hobby then you just dont have a choice than to succeed. So the bolded (above) weren't meant to be traders in the first place...Moreover if you can not succeed in an ordinary buying and selling business from the comfort of your home, what other business would you succeed in?? apart from some professional career or probably 419 |
