1) The force just enough to set the body for motion refers to frictional force. So ,
Fr = 20N m=4kg Fa= 2(20) = 40N

F = Fa - Fr
= 40 - 20
F = 20N
F = ma
20 =4a





a = 20/4
a = 5m/s^2

2) T1 = 40N f1 = 200Hz
T2= 160N , f2 = ?
f∝ √T
f1/T1 = f2/T2
200/ √40 = f2/ √160

f2 = 200(√160)/ √40
= 200 (√4 )
= 400Hz

3) r = 120cm
r= 2f
f= r/2
= 120/2
= 60cm

m = v/u= 4
v = 4u

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

1/60 = 1/4u + 1/u
1/60 = 5/4u
4u = 300
u = 75cm

be careful with the bolded expression so as not to mislead people. I understand what you meant but some people may not as cosx is not equal to -sinx and it's only when x = 45 that sInx = cos x

Let u = 2x² + 3x - 4, du/dx = 4x + 3

y = sinU , dy/du = cosU

dy/dx = dy/du × du/dx

dy/dx = cosU × (4x + 3)

dy/dx = (4x + 3)cos(2x² + 3x - 4)

thnks bro this is the same answer I got but I didn't see it among the options given in the practice questions rather they picked (6x^2+3)cos(2x^2+3x-4) It's kinda confusing I don't know if it's a mistake from the question or UI intentionally didn't put the answer.pls what do you think

Cutoff marks are usually set by candidates performance, IPE cutoff mark might be the highest for Faculty of Technology for this year if the candidates who choose the course do exceptionally well. That's why I prefer candidates prepare well and have high scores so you won't be bordered if you will be admitted or not. For example you can't score 85% and you don't get admitted, ahn ahn what happen now? Because those within the range of 80% and above for your course won't be much except if the questions are exceptionally cheap or something else happened. Usually, the three most competitive course in the Faculty of Technology are EEE, PET and MCE.

I thought I was brilliant until I met my course mates. Electrical and Electronics Engineering guys are wizards in human form, though not all as there were some Judas among us but over 50% are extremely good. MBBS is worse with almost 20 students having 7.0 CGPA at the end of 100 Level and this happens every year.
Note: If you are going for MBBS or any Engineering course pls prepare well because the people you are wrestling with are not normal lolsss. Pls this is not to scare anyone o just prepare well leave no stone unturned because it might be that stone you left behind that will cost you your admission. I wish you all success.

pls what about industrial production engineering is it also very competitive

After registration, you'll print the evidence of completion of registration. Its a slip that shows your details, course you're applying for, and your olevel details. Also, if u paid using ATM card, you'll print the copy of the online receipt

About the payment procedure, I'll advise you pay using your atm card. If you don't have an atm card, you can make use of a friend's, family's or the cafe attendant's own. It is the fastest and easiest mode of payment. Check page 131 of this thread for the payment procedure.

After the exam, you'll not be allowed to change your course until scores and departmental cut off marks are released. If a person scores above 50 but below his or her departmental cuf off mark, such person will be allowed to change to other courses which are not yet filled to their maximum quota. This is the only case where change of course is allowed after the exam.

All things being equal, the exam should come up in the last week of this month.
