flawlessjimmy:It's okay. wish you all the best in your future endeavors. |
flawlessjimmy:You cannot. You have to get to Oyo State. |
Apmix:All the best |
abdrazak:Thursday 16th |
GoodGodGoodGod:Well I only speak for my test venue which was Christ's school, Ekiti State. Did you write yours at the same venue? And unless, you have very certified information as touching all the test centres for that year, I think you should make your answer specific to address your centre and not speak in general. |
excondido:Yes you should. When I wrote mine in 2015, a boy from Lagos wrote along side with us. Oyo and Ogun State were supposed to write that day but he was allowed. Things might have changed but I really want you to give it a shot if it won't hurt. And should in case you went and it all worked out fine kindly report back just to help anyone else that might be in your situation. wishing you all the best. |
kowalsky:Yes you should. When I wrote mine in 2015, a boy from Lagos wrote along side with us. Oyo and Ogun State were supposed to write that day but he was allowed. In regards to someone that called me out to clarify the certainty of my information on a similar forum: Please note that all information I give are based on what I have experienced in the past and what I gather from people that have been through the same process. I cannot guarantee a 100 percent working assurance of any information outside the ones stated by the scholarahip board more especially in cases like yours as it happened in the past things might have changed. Thanks for understanding. God Bless |
DAramis:You spoke as if I gave false information. The last time I checked, this is a public forum and information are given freely and based on personal experience so I see no reason for the manner in which you constructed your thought regardless of the fact that you had a contrary opinion. You could have been well-meaning but it is outrightly wrong to raise a contrary opinion by assaulting the credibility of a person's information without any substantial info to back it up. You could have gone ahead to counter my information by stating with fact where, when and how calculator was prohibited from being used at the test and moreso there is a clause to the information I gave, I wrote unambiguously that I cannot ascertain if calculator would be allowed or probably you should explain to me the harm in bringing a calculator to a test venue even if it would not be allowed. The worst thing is to keep it in your bag or with the invigilators and write your test without it. I see no need whatsoever for the comment you wrote and it obviously shows your level of comprehension of the English Language. I don't know what your aim is whether it's just to seek attention or looking for publicity but I should tell you that you are not encouraging people to give infos. To clear my earlier stated information, I am a current BEA scholar and I definitely couldn't have gotten the scholarahip without passing through the necessary stages. I applied in 2015 and I wrote my test at Christ's School Ekiti State. I remember vividly that a lot of people used calculator PG including UG infact what I can't remeber is if anything was said prohibiting the use of calculator. Please we should be wary of how we address one another in places such as this, that it is free doesn't mean you can abuse the privilege. Wishing those that have written and the ones yet to write all the best. May your efforts never be in vain. Peace. |
Talento:Yea it was not sure if it would be allowed this time. You can take it along with you it won't cause any harm |
Impactpato:I can't say specifically which country is best for mech. engr. but if I were you I would choose Hungary mainly because the medium of instruction is english so transition won't be a problem and also they cater for basically anything you could need so if the FG should delay in payment of the yearly stipend, you wouldn't be affected to an extent thay will cause you an outcry. |
Impactpato:Yes strictly for those that have gone through UG in Russia. If you re picking Russia you should know that they give really little slot for PG and infact there was no PG student from Nigeria last year and also the medium of instruction is Russian. So I would strictly advise against it but it's up to you to decide. |
eneyamire01:You can still edit your information as long as the portal is available for registration. Log in and go to the area you want to edit, change it and click on save logout and log in to confirm if it's successful. You won't be able to submit again but don't worry about that. You can explain to the scholarship officials on your day of interview and tell them you already changed it on the portal and they should note it |
adonisvg:The 'interview' refers to the 'Aptitude Test' that would be taken by all applicants on the respective dates of the interview as indicated by the scholarship board for each geo-political zone. For the UG: it generally comprises of questions on mathematics, English, QR, VA nd ICT unless they change the format this year. For PG I don't know, it should be the same subjects just that the difficulty level would certainly be higher. Wishing you all the best. |
sparkle94:I am not saying this categorically as true, but I believe the scholarship board should be able to allow you write the test and submit your nysc certificate in the future if it would be needed, since the certificate is not really needed for any significant academic evaluation, it shouldn't post much problem, nevertheless you should get something like a confirmation that can testify on your behalf that you re due to end service by march. |
sparkle94:Yes the FG will take of that and also there is a take off grant that will be given to each scholar before departure. I dont know what your initial question is, can you repost it quoting this comment? |
smilesadiq4:It is very understandable if you read the scholarship details. It is a bilateral scholarship which means the scholarship is supported by two parties (Nigeria and any of the listed countries). The host country (the country you intend to apply to for study) bears the tuition and some other little expenses like accomodation, health insurance and monthly stipend (though this varies depending on the host country), what Nigeria does is to make sure you are convenient in whatever country you re placed hence the Government pays each student a particular sum of money that is enough to cater for your feeding, accomodation, clothing and health throughout your stay in that country as a scholarship student. I hope I did justice to the question you asked and if you have any other question post it, I ll try and answer if I can P. S : I am a beneficiary of the scholarship. |
Any update on when any BEA country will be leaving? I heard those going to HUNGARY have been called for visa processing and some other things. Anyone with info about departure date for any country should pls share. |
lantessy:I doubt that. probably wat the person meant is the preliminary check fsb does before the main test. nd that is for everybody irrespective of the state. its a federal scholarship nt a state scholarship. wishin everyone that wrote the test today the best both UG nd PG, God's got ur back. ✌ |

FrancisTony:did u put JMB in front of ur jamb reg no? |
SexyKaycee:exactly! As for me, I dnt think it was done randomly. I bliv the selection was based on a set mark depending on each department. Whether it is jamb or UI dat made the bench mark, I can't say bt I know jamb would nt wish to do anythin without the consent of the universities. I chose med nd I got 241, I dnt know if anyone with lesser mark dan mine, who also chose medicine, has been able to successfully log in. Pls if u av, pls do say nd giv me more hope. bt ryt now, I jst want to bliv the site is still having issues b4 I start raining curses on whoeva brought the shitty policy. shuld have tld us since, before we register for jamb nd why do they have to forcely allocate universities to aspirants? nd also I think for the benefit of people like me if u ar able to log in pls state ur course nd ur mark so dat we might know if truly there is a set mark or just randomly. |
SexyKaycee:jah bless u ooo why hiding behind jamb? |
