I always feel bad when I see nairaland job ads that offer to pay writers #1 or #2 per word. It's evil and very appalling, but still some of us writers will still jump on the opportunity because we don't have a choice and need urgent money. I understand, I've been there. Sometimes at the end of the day these hirers make you edit and re-edit the work before paying, or don't even pay at all. There's nothing more satisfying than getting due credit and compensation for your work. But sadly, nairaland writing jobs offer none of these.
