The atmosphere at some polling units in Osun State is already beginning to take shape this morning as voters turn up early to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

From the scenes observed at this polling location, residents are not merely showing up to cast their ballots; there is a palpable sense of determination among some voters to remain at their polling units and ensure that their votes are properly protected throughout the process.

Some voters could be heard expressing their readiness to resist any attempt at intimidation or disruption, with the message essentially being: “We have come to vote, and we will stand by our votes.”

The mood is calm but watchful. Voters appear conscious that beyond simply casting a ballot, safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process is equally important.

As voting gets underway across Osun, all eyes are now on the polling units. The expectation is that every eligible voter will be allowed to vote freely, peacefully and without intimidation, while electoral officials and security personnel ensure that the process remains credible.

For many voters here, today is not just about choosing a candidate — it is about making their voices count.
