A Word In Due Season

Apostle David Wale Feso

Saturday, July 16th 2022

Do You Have Convictions?

"Thus he left all that he had in Joseph's hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. And it came to pass after these things that his master's wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, "Lie with me." But he refused and said to his master's wife, "Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her." - Genesis 39:6-10 (NKJV)

Today from the words and actions of Joseph in our opening scripture, it is evident that he was a man who had convictions. Do you have convictions? As God's businessmen, we function with one ethic; the Word of God. If it violates the Word of God we will not do it.

For instance not only did Joseph have the fear of God and was chaste in his conduct with moral integrity, he also didn't need supervision. He was not doing eye service. He did his business in the integrity of his heart because he was a man of convictions. That was one of the secrets of his success.

Your life will rise or fall to the level of your convictions.

Instruction.

Blessed Of God.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places." Ephesians 1:3 (ESV)

According to our opening scripture, all the Blessings in heaven is now available to you in Christ. This is what you have been Blessed with.

Also you are Blessed to have answers to your prayers. This is why Jesus said, "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full." John 16:23-24. What is it you need out of heaven? Jesus said you should ask and the Father will give it to you.

Do you know that you are holy and without blame before God in love? Ephesians 1:4 says, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" This means that when God looks at you, He doesn't see your fault. The Bible says you are holy and without blame before Him in love.

God is excited about you. He is not in heaven discussing your faults. He is so much in love with you, He doesn't see your flaws. Why? The Bible says in Colossians 1:21-22, "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:"

This means God is not looking for things to charge you with because He chose you in Him before the foundation of the world, that you should be holy and without blame before Him in love. Praise God!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and ask the Father to sanctify you wholly; spirit, soul and body and keep you blameless till the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For further study, read:
1 Corinthians 1:8, Philippians 2:15, 2 Peter 3:14.

Doing the Word.
Please meditate on 1 Corinthians 6:11, "And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

A Word In Due Season

Apostle David Wale Feso

Know What You Have.

"That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." Philemon 1:6

When you know what you have in Christ, it allows your faith to flourish. This was why when Paul came to the Corinthian church in 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 he said to them, "And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified."

Paul could have taught on Jewish history and all he knew about the past but instead he said, " I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." 1 Corinthians 2:2-5.

Therefore as the Apostle Paul was preaching the gospel of Christ letting them know all that God has accomplished for them in Christ, the people had faith to be healed and they were healed because they knew that Christ had met all the requirements for them to be healed.

As you hearken to the message of the gospel of Christ, the communication, the fellowship, the growth and the transportation of your faith will become operative as you acknowledge every good thing in you in Christ Jesus.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read Philippians 1:9 and ask God to give you a love for the knowledge of His Word.

For further study, read:
Acts 20:32, 1 Corinthians 2:12-14, 2 Timothy 2:15.

The Divine Working.

Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. Colossians 1:29

In our opening scripture today, the Apostle Paul reveals to us that he worked according to the working of Christ which worked in him mightily. So when we read about him working tirelessly in the scriptures, it was because of the working of Christ in him. He is letting us know that the results we see in his life are as a result of a man who yielded to the working of Christ.

Is Christ working in you? If you are born again I want you to become aware that you have the same working of Christ at work in you mightily. The more you acknowledge this working in you the greater results you will begin to see in your life.

Philemon 1:3-6 (NKJV), Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Therefore your faith will become active, operative and function fully when you have the full knowledge of every good thing you have in Christ Jesus.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that God is working in me mightily, both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Amen.

For further study, read:
Ephesians 3:7, Ephesians 3:20, Philippians 2:13.

Doing the Word.

Preach Christ 1

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (NKJV)

In this month's devotional we are going to be studying Christ; what Christ will do in you, what Christ has done for you and what Christ will do through you, etc.

The Apostle Paul shows in our opening scripture that the reason for his results was not because he was a great speaker. In fact if you are a student of church history you will know that there was a man called Apollos who was a greater speaker than Paul. (See Acts 18:24).

Why did Paul and the rest of the Apostles see the power of God in demonstration? It is because of the message they preached. In our opening scripture, Paul revealed to us that he preached Christ; what Christ will do in you, what Christ has done for you and what Christ can do through you.

Therefore, if you want to see the power of God in demonstration like they saw in the days of the Apostles, then you have to preach Christ.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read Galatians 4:19 and pray that Christ be formed in you.

For further study, read:
John 17:3, 1 Corinthians 1:22-31, Philippians 3:8-14

The Blessing Is An Advantage.

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possessions of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.” Genesis 26:12-14

The Blessing is the empowerment for increased fruitfulness and productivity. When a person is Blessed, their progress never stops.

Isaac sowed in a time of famine in our opening scripture and he reaped in the same year an hundredfold. This proves to us that the Blessing is greater than economic challenges. The Blessing will thrive anywhere.

With the Blessing there is no disadvantage. A Blessed man cannot be disadvantaged. For instance, Joseph was sold by his brothers so that his dreams will never come to pass. But in Genesis 39:16, when he got to Potiphar's house he was made the overseer of the house.

When he was lied on by Potiphar's wife and thrown into prison in Genesis 39:20-23 (NKJV) the Bible says, “Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.”

It doesn't matter where you are, when you are Blessed you will thrive.

Instruction.
Please read Genesis 39:3-4 and ask God to cause all that you do to prosper in your hands.

For further study, read:
Genesis 13:1-2, Genesis 24:35, Isaiah 51:2.

Doing the Word.
Speak the Blessing over all that you do for increased productivity.

What Is Your Name? 1

Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her." Genesis 17:15-16 (NKJV)

The Blessing is the creative power of God to meet any need in the realm of human endeavor. Any need you have, the Blessing is the answer. If it is a financial need, the Blessing is the answer. If it is a need for conception in marriage, the Blessing is the answer.

For instance, in our opening scripture we see that before the Blessing was activated in the life Sarah her name had to be changed.

Your name is your destiny. It matters what your name is. When your name means the trouble has just started, it means you will never be out of trouble.

My name is David, it means beloved. The Bible says, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. Deuteronomy 33:12. That is the Blessing I experience in my life because that is my name.

What is your name? I encourage you to consider a name change if your name is attracting a curse to you instead of a Blessing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read Genesis 29:31, Genesis 30:22 and ask God to open the door of the womb of every married woman amongst us that is desiring to have children.

The Presence And Power.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 (NKJV)

Today from our opening scripture we can see two important things that is found when the Blessing is present. The first thing that will be obvious when the Blessing is present is the presence of the Lord.

In Luke 1:28 (NKJV) when the angel spoke to Mary, the angel said, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!" This again shows that you cannot separate the Blessing from the presence of the Lord.

The angel said to her, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!" When a man or woman is Blessed they carry the presence of the Lord.

The second thing you see in the Blessing is the power of the Lord. The Blessing activates the power of God in your life. Our opening scripture says, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Bless Yourself.

That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. Isaiah 65:16

The speech center of the brain controls the entire body and more so, your cells responds to words. Whatever is in your mental consciousness opens your body to disease or protects it from diseases. So what do you say about yourself? If you succeed or fail it is your fault. You can succeed or fail by your words.

Our opening scripture reveals that you can bless yourself or curse yourself. Whatever you say about yourself is what you are perpetuating in your life. The question you need to ask yourself is this, Are you Blessing yourself or cursing yourself?

If you confess death or talk about dying often because of your challenges, you are opening yourself to death. Therefore when death is looking for people, it will find you. This is because whatever you are saying is what you are attracting.

There are many people who have died prematurely because of their words. Do you know that the man that dies by accident said he will die by accident? He may have even said it by accident, yet he died by accident.

Therefore where you are right now is traceable to your tongue.

Speak Well 2

And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. Mark 11:13-14

In our opening scripture, Jesus spoke to a fig tree saying, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever and it dried up from the roots.

The next day as they passed by, the Bible says, And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. In other words, if you speak negatively about what you have, it will wither away.

Remember what you learnt yesterday that to Bless is to empower by speaking. So are you empowering your health? Are you empowering your marriage? Are you empowering your children? Are you empowering your business? Are you empowering your State and your nation?

There are many who wonder why their business failed, the question I will like to ask such people is, How do you talk about your business? Before you lost that job, how were you talking about the job? Did you call the job useless and worthless? That was why you lost it. If you call your marriage a useless marriage, it will not last. If you don't speak well of your life it can lead to sickness because your body responds to your words.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. I declare that my marriage is forever blissful. I declare that my children are Blessed and they shall inherit the gates of their enemies. I declare that all I lay my hands to do will prosper. This state and my nation is Blessed, in Jesus' Name. Honour Authority.

"Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise: "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth." Ephesians 6:2 (NKJV)

In our opening scripture God is making us know that the way we treat our parents will determine how long and how well we will live. Therefore, I encourage you to make sure you have an allocation for your parents.

Notice that the Bible did not say that you should only honour your good parents, no! He only said that you should honour your father and mother whether they are good or bad. You may say that they are bad, but they gave birth to you in that bad state they are in and they allowed you to live, so honour them.

Secondly, if you want to enjoy the Blessing, you must learn to honour spiritual authority. This will go a long way to affect how well you live. In Matthew 23:1-3 (NKJV) Jesus admonished His disciples to honour spiritual authority saying,

“Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.”

Jesus was not a rebel neither was Paul. The Lord spoke to me saying, “Cover the unclothedness of fathers.” You know why? It brought a generational curse on Canaan the descendant of Ham.

Ham saw the unclothedness of his father Noah and went to discuss it with his brothers and brought a curse upon his children who were cursed to be slaves forever. I encourage you to sow honour towards the fathers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sow a seed of prayer into the life of Apostle today, please read Psalm 92:10 and pray that God will expand his influence and authority across the globe; and that God will daily anoint him with fresh oil.

No Excuses.

Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?' "And he said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.' (But they said to him, 'Master, he has ten minas.') 'For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Luke 19:23-26 (NKJV)

According to our opening scripture God expects you to multiply whatever He gives you. So, if God gives you one talent and you do not multiply it, He will take it away from you because that is failure as far as He is concerned. If your income has remained the same since last year that is mediocrity.

Until you start thinking the way God thinks, there are certain things you can't connect with because your mindset is not linked with God's mindset. Stop giving excuses for mediocrity. Know that the Blessing has no respect for challenges. The Blessing thrives inspite of challenges.

There are people who say the reason they are no successful where they are is because they are not from there. When the Blessing is on you, even if you are a stranger in the land where you are, the Blessing will still cause you to prosper. I am not from Bayelsa State and yet the ministry has prospered because of the Blessing. You can also prosper wherever God has sent you because the Blessing is upon you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prayer.
Dear Father, today I repent for every area of mediocrity in my life and I receive grace to receive, function and flow in the Blessing. Cause your Blessing to rest upon every area of my life for greater increase, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Keep Going Forward.

“The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.” Genesis 39:2-3 (NLT)

Notice that because Joseph was Blessed everything he did increased. He was successful in everything he did. Are you like that?

You ought to be able to examine your life based on this principle to see if what you are involved in is increasing. That is the way I measure myself. If what you are doing has not increased in one month you should be concerned because the Blessing brings increase.

Remaining in one spot for a long time makes you a mediocre. Do not settle for a life of mediocrity. What is mediocrity? It is remaining in one spot for a long time.

What does it mean to be successful? To understand success, you have to know that from the word 'success' is where you get the word 'succession'; this refers to progressive results.

Therefore you are successful when you are having increased results. That means you are getting better and better, going higher and higher and further and further, that is success.

The Bible says, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.

A Word In Due Season

Apostle David Wale Feso

Thursday, May 5th 2022

Go For The Blessing.

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)

Our opening scripture reveals to us that the Blessing is always communicated through words. Words carry the Blessing. God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply. This reveals that the Blessing is the empowerment for productivity. You cannot be fruitful without the Blessing.

That is why even in choosing leaders and appointing officials the Lord instructed me to always look out for the Blessing. This is because if they are Blessed, it will lead to a greater expanse being taken.

This is why you will notice that when secular organizations employ people, they are always looking for those who have previously done successfully what they are employing them for. Why don't they want a novice? It takes a longer time to train a novice on the job.

Jacob was so Blessed that Laban his father-inlaw and boss said to him, "Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake." Genesis 30:27 (NKJV).

The Blessing does not hide, therefore if you are an employer of labour and you have a staff who is always bringing losses, it is an evidence that they lack the Blessing. Be careful not to increase their influence or you will destroy your organization.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read Genesis 24:12 (NLT), 1 Samuel 18:1415 (ESV) and ask God to give you success in all your undertakings.

For further study, read:
Genesis 30:30, Genesis 39:1-5, Psalm 1:1-3.

Doing the Word.
Always speak the Blessing over you and all that you do.

Made In God's Image.

“Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV)

You cannot reproduce your success without the Blessing. Without the Blessing all you have is luck. If you want to be able to replicate, multiply and duplicate your success everywhere then you need the Blessing.

Our opening scripture reveals to us that God made us to look like Him and to function like Him. Adam was man in the likeness of God. You were made in the likeness of God, therefore you can function like Him.

God has delegated authority on the earth to man. That includes all men; male and female. Live your life with this understanding that you have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. This Blessing is part of your inheritance in Christ. Praise God.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read 1 Chronicles 29:25, 2 Chronicles 1:1 and ask God to magnify you exceedingly in the sight of all people. Ask Him to take you to levels you have never been before.

The Blessing Is Your Inheritance.

"So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Acts 20:32 (NKJV)

I want you to know that just as an inheritance is documented when it is given, the Bible is a written documentation of your inheritance given to you in Christ. So you have to search the scriptures to know what is yours in Christ. This is why you must study the Word of God.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

In 1 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) says, "Not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing." You are called to inherit a Blessing. The Blessing is your inheritance. Praise God.

Hence if you are looking for your inheritance, go to the Word of God because that is where your Blessing is according to our opening scripture.

"So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read Genesis 12:3, 2 Samuel 7:29 and ask God to Bless your family.

For further study, read:
Romans 8:15-17, Ephesians 1:17-18, Colossians 1:12.

Doing the Word.
Study the Bible and you will find your inheritance.

Roadmap To The Blessing.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3

How do you know where your Blessing is? You can find your Blessing in the Word of God. The Bible is the roadmap to your Blessing.

Whatever the Word of God says is God's Blessing to me because to Bless is to empower by speaking. For instance, the Bible says in Isaiah 55:5, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” This is your Blessing from God for your healing and health. God has empowered you to live in health by that Word.

The Bible also says in Psalm 1:3, “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” This is your Blessing from God for your prosperity. God has empowered you to prosper by that Word.

Don't go in search of the Blessing in an event somewhere. Know that the Bible is your roadmap to the Blessing.

Instruction.
Please declare the Blessing in Deuteronomy 28:3-13 over you and your household.

For further study, read:
Genesis 28:4, Psalm 128:5, Galatians 3:14.

Doing the Word.
Always speak the Word of Blessing over you and your household daily.

You Are Blessed.

“And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.” Genesis 1:22

In this month's devotional we will be studying on the Blessing. Our opening scripture is the first time the word 'Blessed' is used in the Bible and it reveals to us in the context it is used that God's Word is the instrument of Blessing. Words are the carriers of Blessing.

You cannot Bless without speaking. If you want to see Blessing you must speak because the words you speak are carriers, they are containers of the Blessings that you speak.

In Ephesians 1:3 the Bible says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” The root word of that word 'Blessed' is 'to speak well of'. Therefore the verse above is saying, “Blessed be (Speak well of) the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed (spoken well of) us with all spiritual blessings (fine speaking) in heavenly places in Christ:” This means your Blessing is in the Word.

I encourage you to speak well of yourself, your family and all that concerns you this month according to what is written concerning you all in the Word of God.

Instruction.
Please read 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, Genesis 32:24-29 and ask God to Bless you indeed and enlarge your territory.

For further study, read:
Genesis 12:1-3, Psalm 134:3, Galatians 3:9.

Doing the Word.
Thank God for His Blessings.

Favor Gives Life's Best 2

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

God gave His best for you when you were at your worse. Our opening scripture reveals to us that Christ died for us when we were still sinners. Therefore, if God gave me His best when I was His enemy what will He give me now that I am His son.

God said to me, “You cannot pray a prayer that cannot be answered.” What that means is that when I make a demand I will get it because He gave me His best. God said to me, “Whenever you pray consider it done. I will not turn you down if you ask me for anything. Ask for big things. Ask for the seemingly impossible and I will do it. Trust me. Come to me with everything. I am your fixer. Never complain.”

God answers our prayers because we have found favour with Him. God will never withhold anything we request from Him. You will always have answers to your prayers. God has answered all your prayers.

It is important we realize the God that we are dealing with, He is not a God that is against us, He is for us. Please say out loud: God is for me. Praise God.

Instruction.
Please read Exodus 33:13, 2 Peter 1:2 and ask God to reveal Himself to you so that you may experience increase in grace and favour.

For further study, read:
Psalm 84:11, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 3:21-23.

Doing the Word.
Please meditate on Romans 8:32 (AMP), “He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?”

Favor Gives Life's Best 1

“Hegai liked Esther and took a special interest in her. Right off he started her beauty treatments, ordered special food, assigned her seven personal maids from the palace, and put her and her maids in the best rooms in the harem.” Esther 2:9 (MSG)

Favour is what makes people like you. That is why Hegai liked Esther and began to favour her. The Bible says he put her and her maids in the best rooms in the harem. This means that favour gives you access to life's best.

If you are a Christian I want you to know that you are the favoured of the Lord and you have the right to life's best. Don't ever think that there is anything in this life you don't deserve that is good. You may not have it right now but you will have it later. Life's best will come to you.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:21, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;” That means you have access to anything you need. There is nothing you need that you should be denied from having because all things are yours. I pray for you that from today lack ends in your life in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Romans 8:32 (NIV) says, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

Do you know that the word graciously can also refer to favour? In other words, favour gives you access to whatever you need. I pray over you that from today anything you need that is vital to your season and your level will never be denied you in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read Psalm 85:1-5, 1 Kings 13:6 and ask God to restore whatever is missing or out of place in your life by His favour.

For further study, read:
John 10:10 (AMP), Ephesians 1:3-6 (AMP), 2 Peter 1:3-4.

Favour Gives Speed.

“So when the king's order and his edict were proclaimed, and when many young women were gathered in Susa the citadel in custody of Hegai, Esther also was taken into the king's palace and put in custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women. And the young woman pleased him and won his favor. And he quickly provided her with her cosmetics and her portion of food, and with seven chosen young women from the king's palace, and advanced her and her young women to the best place in the harem.” Esther 2:8-9 (ESV)

Notice from our opening scripture today that when Esther won the favour of Hegai she was attended to quickly. That means favour gives you speed.

For some people everything in their life takes a long time. They graduated at the age of thirty-four. They had their first child after eighteen years of marriage but favour can give you speed and accelerate your progress.

For example, Elizabeth was old before she had a child but her cousin Mary found favour with God and she gave birth faster. (See Luke 1:30-31). Mary did not have to wait as long as Elizabeth because favour gives you speed.

May God put favour on you for speed and acceleration of all God's plans and purposes for your life in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read Genesis 24:12, Genesis 27:20 (ESV), Isaiah 60:22 (NIV) and ask God to give you good speed by His favour. Ask Him to give you with ease what others struggle to get.

For further study, read:

Do Good.

“He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: ” Proverbs 11:27

There are things you do that can give you favour. For instance, in our opening scripture the Bible says, “He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: …” That means sowing good is a way to buy favour. When you seek the good of others favour will come to you.

Proverbs 12:2 says, “A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: ” So if you want to enjoy favour, not only should you be born again, be a good man. Sow good seeds into the lives of others. You cannot be doing evil and expect favour. It doesn't work that way.

If you want to enjoy favour then do what the Bible says in Proverbs 2:20-22, “That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.”

In Proverbs 14:9 the Bible says, “Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.”

When I talk about favour I am not referring to what you get by your qualification or what you get because you know somebody. I am talking about that kind of testimony that will make you cry. Where a total stranger comes to favour you. Those are the kind of testimonies that will come your way in this season in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read Psalm 106:4, Isaiah 60:10, Genesis 30:22-24 and ask God to remember you this year and grant you that which your heart fondly wishes for.

Pray For Favour 3

“And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” Esther 2:17

If you are single, you need favour to get married. Esther was chosen and favoured by the king to be his queen even though all the other women competing with her were all virgins and they were also very beautiful yet by favour the king loved Esther more than all the women.

Hence, until you find favour you will not be taken. Therefore I pray for you concerning your job, contract, marriage, etc. you will find favour, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Favour can give you promotion. I heard the story of a man who was pushing a truck on the road selling a product and the CEO of the company saw him and asked him about how he got the product and he answered that he bought it. As a result, he moved him from being a truck pusher to come and manage the organization. That is favour.

I pray for you reading this devotional that God will give you such a testimony that will shock everyone who will hear it in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

May this year be your most favourable year wherever you work in Jesus' Name. Amen. May you find more favour than all your competitors in your place of work, concerning suitors, concerning contracts, before the government of your state, before the government of your nation and before other governments of this world. May you find favour with embassies and favour for your scholarship, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read Exodus 3:21-22, Exodus 11:2-3, Exodus 12:35-36 and ask God for a financial turnaround. Ask God for such favour that whenever you request for anything they are given to you.

For further study, read:

Pray For Favour 2

“And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer. And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.” 1 Samuel 16:21-22

Saul was seeing David for the first time and yet he loved him greatly. My prayer for you reading this devotional today is this, “May there be such favour upon your life that when you meet people they would just love you greatly.”

David was so favoured by Saul that even though he was seeing David for the first time he made David his armourbearer; that is just like being his personal assistant. This can only be possible by favour.

Imagine that you went for an interview in a bank and after they were done interviewing you, you were immediately appointed to work with the chairman of the bank. That can only be by the favour of God.

I pray for you that in this year, you will meet a very influential person and he will favour you more than he has ever favoured anyone, in Jesus' Name. Amen. May you find favour in the sight of those who can help you in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read Nehemiah 1:11, Acts 7:10 and ask God to give you favour before influential people.

Pray For Favour 1

And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.” 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

It has been said that one day of favour is greater than a thousand days of labour. If you understand the power of favour and learn to do what activates favour your frustrations in life will be minimized. Like we see in our opening scripture, praying for favour can activate favour in your life.

For instance, if you applied for a job and twelve of you who applied are all qualified for the job. Why will they choose you? It is favour that will make them choose you above the others. That is why you need to pray for favour. It is a proof that you are not just relying on your natural and physical qualifications.

Just like Jacob, as a Christian you are Blessed but you can still pray for favour. Jacob asked God to Bless him in Genesis 32:26-29,

“And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.”

There are levels of favour and there are levels of Blessing. Therefore whenever you need the favour of God to be manifested on your behalf, then do not hesitate to pray for favour.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instruction.
Please read Genesis 39:3-4, Ezra 7:28 and ask God to give you such favour that will cause all that you do to prosper in your hands.

For further study, read:
Genesis 30:27, Genesis 39:23, Joshua 1:7-8.

Doing the Word.

Follow The Spirit's Guidance.

“And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman was lovely and beautiful. When her father and mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.” Esther 2:7 (NKJV)

Our opening scripture reveals to us that Esther who was a Jew was in a strange land and she was an orphan. Her circumstance in the natural may have made her look unlikely to succeed, yet favour was about to distinguish her.

In Esther 2:8 (NKJV) the Bible says, “So it was, when the king's command and decree were heard, and when many young women were gathered at Shushan the citadel, under the custody of Hegai, that Esther also was taken to the king's palace, into the care of Hegai the custodian of the women.” As believers, Hegai is like a type of the Holy Spirit.

“Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king's eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.” Esther 2:15 (NKJV)

Therefore I want you to know that so long as you consistently obey the Holy Spirit, you will enjoy a lifetime of favour. So, if you want to enjoy a life of favour, follow the instructions the Holy Spirit gives to you just as Esther obtained favour when she followed only the counsel of Hegai.

Instruction.
Please read Acts 2:47, Esther 2:15 and ask God to give you favour with people everywhere you go.

“The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.” Esther 2:17 (ESV)

In our opening scripture, you will notice that after Esther found favour in the sight of the king, the next thing that came on her was the crown.

I pray for you reading this devotional that the grace for enthronement will rest upon you today. From today you will always be on top and not beneath in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Grace and glory goes together. Proverbs 4:9 (ESV) says, “She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown."

Psalm 84:11 (ESV) says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

I declare over you today that every trace of reproach on your life leaves today in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read Esther 2:17 and ask God to give you grace and favour before influential people and authority figures.

Favour Gives Success.

“Now Joseph had been brought down to Egypt, and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, had bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man” Genesis 39:1-2 (ESV)

The Bible says in our opening scripture that, “The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man” The question you need to ask yourself is this, “Is the Lord with me?” If He is with you then you are successful.

I declare over you reading this devotional today that your days of failure are over.

Genesis 39:3 (ESV) says, “His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to succeed in his hands.” This means that favour gives success.

Wherever you find favour you will see success and prosperity. Favour prospers you. Anywhere you see continuous progress there is favour.

“So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had” Genesis 39:4 (ESV). This reveals that favour gives you influence. You can never rise to prominence without favour.

Therefore I speak over you as a child of God that you are the favoured of the Lord. You shall be the head and not the tail in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read Genesis 24:12, Genesis 27:20(ESV), Isaiah 60:22 (NIV) and ask God to give you good speed by His favour. Ask Him to give you with ease what others struggle to get.

For further study, read:
Genesis 39:21-22, 1 Samuel 18:14 (NIV), Acts 7:9-10.

Doing the Word.
Expect God to cause you to succeed in all you set out to do.

Favour Is A Defense.

“For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12 (ESV)

Our opening scripture reveals to us that favour is a defense. The Lord covers you with favour as with a shield.

Many years ago in Benin, after one of our New Year 's Eve service, two of our brothers were on their way home from church, on getting to a place where people were being robbed, as the robbers saw them approaching, they stopped the robbery, told them to pass and continued their robbery. That was an exemption by the favour of God.

I announce over you as you read this devotional today that you are exempted from harassment by robbers in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

There is another testimony of another brother in the ministry who is a consistent tither. He testified that robbers came to the area where their shops were located and they robbed the shop beside him, crossed over his own and continued with the shop after his own. That is another exemption from harassment from robbers by the favour of God.

Favour is a defense. Therefore, I pray over you that may God cover you with favour as with a shield, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Instruction.
Please read 2 Thessalonians 3:2 and ask God to protect and exempt you and every member of your family from wicked and unreasonable men.

For further study, read:
Psalm 3:3, Psalm 32:10, Psalm 84:11

Doing the Word.
Give God thanks because you are exempted from all harassment from robbers.

What Is Favour? 2

“Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness in saving my life. But I cannot escape to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die. Behold, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one. Let me escape there—is it not a little one?—and my life will be saved!" He said to him, "Behold, I grant you this favor also, that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken.” Genesis 19:19-21 (ESV)

Our opening scripture reveals that favour is divine exemption. Lot and his family were exempted from being destroyed with the people of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Favour is a perspective as revealed in the words of Lot when he said in our opening scripture, “Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight,”

We also see from our opening scripture that favour is kindness and favour preserves based on the words of Lot when he said, “ and you have shown me great kindness in saving my life.”

The favour on your life can preserve those around you just like the city Lot fled to that was supposed to be destroyed but was spared because of Lot.

I pray for you, that for your sake because of the favour of God, wherever you are the people are safe in the Name of Jesus.

Instruction
Please read Psalm 85:1-5, 1 Kings 13:6 and ask God to restore whatever is missing or out of place in your life by His favour.

For further study, read:
Psalm 5:12, Psalm 30:7, Proverbs 12:2.

Doing the Word.
Declare that you are exempted from destruction and all evil coming to the world in these last days by the favour of God.

What Is Favour? 1

“The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them." But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:5-8 (ESV)

Beginning from today, we are going to be learning about the power of favour.

What is favour? Firstly, favour is preferential treatment. When an individual is favoured they get preferential treatment.

Secondly, favour is special privileges. To be favoured is to be endowed with special privileges.

Thirdly, favour refers to special partiality. For instance, when you say a referee is favouring a team it means that he is been partial towards that team.

Fourthly, favour is an unfair advantage or a strategic advantage. For example someone may say, “The match will favour them if it rains.” That means they will have a strategic advantage if it rains. Fifthly, favour is kindness.

Based on the context of the first use of the word 'favour' in the Bible as seen in Genesis 6:5-8 (ESV) stated in our opening scripture, we can see that favour is an exemption and favour preserves from destruction.

Instruction.
Please read Psalm 5:12, Psalm 30:7 and ask God for protective favour. Pray that you are protected from all evil by the favour of God.

For further study, read:
Genesis 19:19-22 (ESV), Proverbs 8:35, Luke 1:30.

Doing the Word.
Thank God for His favour upon your life.
